Would this affect the amount or the pressure of water you're getting to both the toilet and the bidet? because you're essentially splitting the water between them?

yes if you use both at the same time, but it's not much.

I got a different one recently. But in general, these types of bidets don't conform to UK water regulations right? There's a risk of backflow if the toilet backs up so a DC valve or seperate cistern (air gap) is needed.
