Everyone has a love hate relationship with destiny

The traveller provided select people it deemed "worthy" with the power of the light which turns them into "guardians". The light is given to the guardians by their ghosts which are the AI's that people have flying next to them. Currently the light consists of 3 different variations, which are arc, solar and void powers (such as cayde-6 igniting his gun or Osiris with his flaming blade would both be solar). The light also gives the guardians the ability to revive or repair their bodies through their ghosts, so it is a pretty heavy loss to have them destroyed, and why cayde in his beat up state tried to bring his ghost out to try and repair himself.
But with light, there must be darkness, and we have seen several instances of its power. With the taken king expansion we saw oryx using the darkness to control the minds of beings to serve his will, though we recently found out this power was borrowed from an "entity". Oryx is from a faction called the hive which is a heavy follower of the darkness and it comes to a big shock in the latest witch queen expansion that the hive, were also capable of wielding the light and having their own ghosts. Also with beyond light we saw the first instance of guardians being able to use the darkness with "stasis" which is the ability to freeze enemies. There may not be as much of a defined line between light and dark as we believe.
if your interested further in the universe there is a youtuber called "My name is Byf" who does tons of videos of the lore, and even has a video: "Destiny's Story for Beginners - An Introduction to Destiny's setting for New Players" which may be a good place to dive into, just be wary that the videos can be a bit long with that video being about an hour.

30:04 Ace was the name of Cayde's son back when he was human. His name is the only thing Cayde remembers of his previous life and his signature revolver "Ace of Spades" is named after him.
30:19 Those small robots are called Ghosts, and are created by the Traveler (the big white sphere seen in the first trailer), which is a mysterious godlike entity that saved humanity from extinction. Every guardian (the player characters) has a Ghost and they are the source of a guardians powers, which they call "Light". Most notably, Ghosts can, except in specific circumstances, resurrect their guardian from death, effectively making the guardians immortal. If their ghost is destroyed (like Cayde's is in the trailer) then not only does the guardian lose their powers, but their next death will be permanent. Savathun (the eponymous Witch Queen) somehow obtaining ghosts for her own army is the main conflict of the upcoming Witch Queen expansion.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames To make it even sadder is that the character is Cayde-6, that means that his memory is wiped 5 times already and this is his 6th iteration. Cayde wanted to try and remember something from his previous lives and this is his son Ace. The sad think is that Ace has never excisted and it's actually a figment of his imagination, which he obviously doesn't know himself. So when he says in the cinametic "im coming home Ace" right before he dies, he thinks he will be soon reunited with his son, the son which doesn't excist.

For destiny 2 forsake, the guy dying is Cayde, a character from d1 and d2, beloved by most. He was the comedy relief type of character, and a badass. Miss him so much :( also, the thing they shot at him, the floating thing, is a ghost, that all gaurdians have, which is basically what revives them when they die. Without it, they can't come back.

Some bit of lore: Those little flying things that the Guardians have are called Ghosts. They heal Guardians and revive them if they die. But without them, if it is destroyed, a Guardian can die like anyone else, and thats the only ghost they have

Man, I remember launch day for Destiny 1. Sat outside Gamestop waiting for the midnight release with a loooooong line of people waiting for it too. Midnight release, got my copy at 1 in the morning. I still have my physical copy of it on my shelf. So many wonderful memories.
Now with Witch Queen getting ready to drop, my body and my xbox are ready!

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Yeah, it's a real shame. Destiny 1 was the biggest thing around when it launched. The whole world had their eyes on it and over the years, it's built up such an amazing community. Cosplayers, conventions, making life-long friendships, and getting to experience such amazing content some people like myself never thought they'd get to on their own.
If I may, I would emphasize all of this with a youtube video that perfectly encapsulates all the amazing events and hype that held the world captive when Destiny 1 released. Whether you choose to do a live reaction to it or not is obviously up to you guys, but it's just something to show just how much this game means to a lot of people, myself included.

i still remember waiting, staying up past midnight on a school night during freshmen year, ECSTATIC for the release of the vault of glass raid. My irl friends couldnt stay up, but i had a gorup of friends online who did want to stay up for it, and that was on of the funnest nights in a while at the time, so much good times yelling in happiness as well as rage trying to figure out the mechanics!
@@truec0re193 VoG was definitely a fun experience all the way around. I didn't go through it on day 1 because I didn't have any friends that had it on Xbox (everyone got it on ps4 because of all the Activision exclusivity crap). But when I did go through it, it was amazing. Raids were easily one of the best experiences that happened to destiny, if not one of the most stressful and rage-inducing experiences at certain points.
You only hear Rasputin get mentioned by Zavala as a Broken Weapon, but man Rasputin's speech in the Warmind DLC was epic. Rasputin is a Warmind basically an Artificial Intelligence made by Humanity in the golden age before the darkness. Operates tons of Warsats and other weaponry.Speech Rasputin Gives in the DLC.
"The Bray Family shaped me to be an all-seeing savior... while your Vanguard sought to wield me as a primitive weapon. But today, that ends, and I define the reality of my own existence. My sight will stretch to the edge of this system and beyond. Never again will a threat go unseen. From this day forward, I will defend Humanity on my own terms. I am Rasputin, Guardian of all I survey. I have no equal."
Rasputin is a broken weapon. It didn't defend earth when darkness came the first time. It throwed its warsats at researchers who wanted to warn humanity about darkness arrival. Telling itself that it was for the survival of humanity. Then froze Mars to ensure its safety, abandoning the earth again. Without the traveler, the humanity would have never survived.
It also led the Iron lord into a trap and unleashed siva on them, killing them all except Saladin. Rasputin is just an IA who went full skynet. If we had the choice, I would have obliterate it, not giving up the little control we had still on him.
In my opinion Rasputin is too dangerous to be left alone but at the same time he is needed considering he controls all the remaining defence systems that survived the collapse
The traveler took Rasputin's information golem his son fellwinter and stopped Rasputin from retaking control the traveler is by far more dangerous in that aspect that's why Rasputin let out siva on the iron lord's the only way to get rid of this paracausal entity

@@Achille513 He didn’t betray humanity, because he was programmed to activate a “sleeper protocol” (Midnight Protocol) if he faced an enemy that he could not beat. Also the goal of Midnight Protocol, was to basically live to fight another day and the reason why he’s being an asshole throughout Destiny 1&2 is because Midnight Protocol is still active (I don’t think it got disabled).
I highly recommend "The Gunslingers Last Stand" Cutscene. Such a shame how some players will never know the legendary Cayde-6 as they are getting rid of the Forsaken DLC.

We want to get into the story and cutscenes for Destiny eventually. It’ll be sad getting invested in Cayde knowing his fate 😢
Thankfully this season they introduced his mission for new players and give them a new gun for beating it as an incentive to beat it.
I would recommend to watch some cutscenes to learn more about the story. The story is very deep in Destiny, it's very intense and tragic. And yes, "The Witch Queen" is a very scary person. She infects people's minds. For the past few years there has been a few notes in destiny's music that repeat frequently. We learned just a few months ago that this little "tune" was a spell made by the witch queen, Savathun. If you hear it, you're infected, and you transmit it to others by humming it. It's called "Savathun's Song." In game, you can hear your friends, the store owners, civilians in the city, all humming her song without realizing it. Very unnerving.
That’s scary that even hearing the tune makes you infected 😨 And we do want to check out some of the cutscenes and story for Destiny 🙂

I’m an old Destiny 1 vet (not quite vanilla year 1, but right after the Dark Below released) and the two trailers I remember VIVIDLY are the Taken King and Forsaken. Forsaken especially since everyone in the community was out for blood against the antagonist of that dlc. Hell when I watch it to this day it brings some tears to my eyes and boils my blood a little lol.
I always forget Peter Dinklage voiced Ghost back before the Taken King, shocks me every time haha

Wait, for real? You gotta be kidding! I can't believe my wish came true in just hours! Now it would be perfect if the channel had a sort of Destiny journey like the Warcraft one (loved those) where you watch the cinematics and story videos as well.

A reaction I absolutely love to see one of my favorite game franchises since Destiny 1 released. I’d love for you guys to react to more of the trailers some of the live action ones from both Destiny 1 and 2 would be amazing, I think you’d enjoy them too. Love you guys keep it up :)

found it so weird how the person who put together this collection of trailers was so inconsistent with the kind of trailers they showed. From showing cinematic reveal trailers, to some launch trailers, to an in-game cutscene?? They omitted some trailers that would have been great to show for context, and didn't even show a single Destiny 2 base game trailer??? Weird as hell

It is true that the Traveller’s Light can be taken by force. While Guardians are chosen by their Ghost and acquires Light, the Hive are corrupting it to gain an advantage against the Vanguard. But Savathûn isn’t the first one to take the Light, and she won’t be the last.
The only difference is that her endgame is still unclear…

The hive ghosts chose the hive after immaru revived savathûn. So they were chosen like we were. Ghaul tho he did indeed take it by force

Destiny 1 was my jam back in college, The Taken King is still to this day one of the best DLCs they ever made!
you know it, shame they didn't react to other taken king trailers, 1 trailer doesn't do that masterpiece of a dlc justice. If they do another destiny reaction they should definitely check out the raid boss fights trailers and story trailers like Uldren waking up after Forsaken etc.

Cayde was the Faction-Leader of the Hunters. MANY were PISSED when he died. Today, a Badge is planted on the Ground at a central Spot to Honor him.
I enjoyed the Mission, were we could hunt down his Killer.

20:50 talk about a time for gaming! Such an iconic legendary character being killed. NOBODY thought it would ever happen to him! So heartbreaking even the funeral scene!😭😭 it’s been a couple years now and I still can’t believe he’s gone! It’s safe to say that Destiny changed forever since then! It definitely became darker!

You guys should definitely react to the Past Is Prologue trailer and the Zavala Story Trailer, they show some of the backstor and what has happened in Destiny 1 and 2 so far, also to some of the other DLC trailers as well.

So you saw the trailer of witch queen. But to give you more context, Savathun is the hive god of deceit and is the sister of Oryx The Taken King and Xivu Arath The Hive God of War. Savathune has had a hand in many of the major conflicts in Destiny 2. From pulling the strings behind the scenes in Forsaken, to setting the remainder of oryx's bloodline to fail in Shadow Keep to most recently, infiltrating the last save city while taking the form of Osiris, allowing her access to vital information. When her jig was up, she revealed that she had the real Osiris captive. Lightless but alive. (RIP Sigera.) The deal was if we exorcised her Worm (which is the thing keeping her immortal but is also consuming her.), she would give us Osiris back and would help us with the black fleet. We exorcised her worm and she switched teleported with Osiris before we could kill her. So that's where we are at.
That’s a pretty cool villain title “hive god of deceit” 😈
My favorite thing about this franchise is the very extensive lore. Even some of the weapons really cool stories. Like Red Death, Hawkmoon ect.
Those floating buddies with the guardians are called ghosts .. they brought the guardian to live in the beginning of Destiny 1 and revives them when they die all the way to Witch Queen

For a little more insight on the light powers guardians receive from the traveler is in the form of a ghost(the little robot everyone has) basically it lets them become immortal and bend the nature of light in which is why we get different types of space magic powers. This power works so as long as our ghost doesn’t get destroyed. Now that the witch queen has the light she can do the same with her own race of species (the hive)

Cayde-6 is what we call an Exo- a human mind transplanted into a cybernetic being (the number following an Exo’s name is indicative of the times they’ve been “rebooted”). When Cayde was human, he had a wife and child, a son named Ace. Cayde also named his pistol, The Ace of Spades in honor of his son- who has been dead for quite some time. So when Cayde said, “I’ll see you soon, Ace.” he was saying he’d see his son in the afterlife.
The “Cortana” things are called Ghosts, they are the Guardian’s connection to the Traveler and the power of the light- Cayde’s Ghost had a name, her name was Sundance.
I’ve played Destiny since the Alpha version of Destiny 1.

Destiny has given me so many good memories from the age of 12 to 16 in secondary school I remember in 2014 it was the first game I played with Xbox live meaning it was my very first time playing with people online back

11:55 Though it may not go into too much detail, that guy is Osiris, who's akin to Dr. Strange in a way. But obsessed with control (in the form of wanting to be a sort of prophet who has to know what's going to happen before it happens & alert the others). A more interesting storyline is between him & a Titan (very cool character, thick Russian accent 😂), anyways- The titan, Saint-14, had lead a selfless life for others during periods of time of what would be a sort of end of days cold/hunger/darkness, as a small note just to add interest; he would take in all those seeking shelter, and his armor is full of "bracelets/memorabilia" that each person would gift him for having been saved. Except, he carries it as a reminder of what it means to have a good and noble character. And would also defend his, "homestead" against those that'd try to fight over disputes, and would find it to be a sort of string for what would ultimately lose him from everyone (literally), as he puts Osiris in charge of his command, and in so ventures off essentially into a machine-time-line where he fights for years endlessly, in search to save everyone else he goes alone.. But time has a way of reuniting everyone.
There's so much I probably now feel like I have to go back & polish up on the lore 😅
Also, the digit after the name of each exo (robot species) signifies the times they've been "spun back up" into a new body, memories slightly wipe each time thereafter. One resides in the guardians tower, banshee-44, the gunsmith. Anyways, Cayde's most interesting facet was his use of humor as his form of coping strategy, atleast for me. Oh and his chicken! 😅

I HIGHLY recommend you guys watch gameplay of the game's story, the exotic quests also give a HUGE look into the character who gave the quests, you guys wanted to see more development of Amanda Holliday, the blonde pilot, her quest gives dialog ue about her past and how it is relevant with the dlc it came with, dont want to spoil it

On another note Cayde is an exo, the machine thing, the exo body can hold the conciosness of a human, and they can essentialy be reset in case of death or malfunction, or they could, that technology is lost now, but the 6 in Cayde-6, means he has been reset 6 times.

To answer the question what the little robotic creatures are. Those are known as “ghosts” they act as personal helper/companion for their given guardian that they the ghost actual go out and find. They can do the typical things an A.I. can do hack, record information, translate language’s etc. they also are the ones that heal and even resurrect their chosen guardian while also acting a connection to the “light”. One finale point is that they are the only real weakness of a guardian. Hope this helps at all and sorry if it was long

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames ah yes the live action ones, consider the growining momentum of Bungie plans to expand the ip into new media besides the games they are retrocatively extra facinating to watch now.
One thing I'd highly recommend checking out (though not necessarily react to) is the music! Destiny has never really had any bad soundtracks and they range anywhere from calm ambience to intense action. My personal favorites include The Farm, Athanasia, Deep Stone Lullaby, Last Stand, and Grasp of Avarice.
I'd love to see more Destiny reactions going forwards! If you need more, try the live-action trailers.

They are Ghosts. Emissaries of the Traveller and his gift of Light. Each Ghost has a name and unique shell to house the light and the power of resurrection for the Guardians. Each Guardian is chosen by his or her Ghost. A Ghost can travel great distances and for long periods of time searching for Their Guardian. The lore of the Traveller and the light is deep, rich and amazing. There are many channels dedicated to the Lore on TH-cam.
As for Ace, he was the son of Cayde-6 and the reference of coming home was because Cayde knew it was the end. It created an upheaval in the Destiny community when we all experienced the death of Cayde-6. It was an incredibly powerful and saddening season for us. 9:10 the thing Oryx was doing to that knight is called taking. Taking is when you completely corrupt an organism with darkness. Anything that gets taken becomes stronger but they are controlled by whoever took them.

Those little things that follow Guardians are called ghosts, they are small parts of traveler (That big white orb you saw in some trailers). Ghosts have power to choose those worthy of travelers light and grant them immortality and abilities called the Light. Ghosts are not AI nor they are controlled drones, they are some sort of living beings who look like robots. Blue skinned people, Petra and others are called the Awoken, they tried to run from the solar system when darkness arrived but got stuck in the crossfire between light and dark, they survived but power that they were hit with changed them forever, their skin is blue, they live for centuries and have certain powers. Also Sagira, Osiris ghosts didn't die there, she survived, but unfortunately was killed later. Ace is Caydes son who've been dead for a long time, Cayde forgot his name because he had amnesia, since guardians when chosen don't remember their past, but Cayde had journal he kept so he remembered he had son, just not his name, so he called him Ace.

Ok this may be long.
To answer the question about ace, he was ‘Cayde’s son’.. well that’s what we all thought until a certain book of lore.
Before Cayde became the funny exo (robot) he is, he was human and had large debts to pay from his gambling addiction. He signed up for a programme to remove his debts but he must turn into an exo. (An exo is a robot)
As he is called Cayde-6, that signals he has been rebooted 6 times*. So one of his past lives actually made up Ace and his ‘queen of hearts’ which he thought was his wife.
One of Cayde’s previous lives did this so he had a reason to keep on fighting and not fall into a deeper state of depression. Just so he could feel like he had a purpose.
So long story short, Cayde doesn’t actually have a son, it’s fake and he tricked himself into thinking he had one.
*he has been rebooted more than 6 times, he just refused to be named Cayde-7 as he thought the number 7 was unlucky and overrated as it gave him the shivers! He also thought Cayde-6 had a nice ring to it.
Answer to the question about the little robots..
They are named ghosts, a gift from the traveler! They gave us the light and are the things that keep us alive. They basically make us immune as we respawn when we die when we have our ghosts! Cayde unfortunately passed away as a bullet from a weapon of sorrow slaughtered his ghost named Sundance. He only pulled out his ghost as a normal bullet would never be able to destroy her :(
Osiris had one named Sagira, she is now dead but Osiris is still alive but recovering from a coma he is in. Nobody knows when he will be back to reality! He is currently in his boyfriend’s house just led there.

That’s not exactly true. Yes ace was his supposed “son” that an earlier version of himself wrote about. But we don’t know if it’s true or not. Cayde just trusted what the book said as a driving force. So yes Ace could be a real person/his son.
@@mythicalphoenix7431 The Man They Call Cayde page 13... His wife and son, all fake to keep him from going sadder. It also quotes he felt hollow and alone and broken. Even his ghost couldn’t help. So he made them up for a reason to fight and a reason to continue with the light and be a good man.

Your Ghost is what gives you your power. They are created by The Traveler and are the reason we can be revived.
Ace is...or was...Cayde's son. He died long ago. His gun is called the Ace of Spades...in memory of his son. There's actually a big story arc that happens because of all that explaining quite a bit. Cayde's death is definitely the saddest I've ever been and the most tears shed because of a videogame...as he's been with us since the beginning. Essentially...they took this multiple year movie....and killed a main character. 😥
Pretty ballsy of them to kill off such a beloved character. Have to believe he is coming back though maybe they just couldn’t afford Nathan Fillion anymore and didn’t want to replace the voice. Unless it is Cayde-7 so the voice can be different with a different version 🤔
This compilation had a few great things missing. For example the one where it shows those 3 mysterious people meeting up and suddenly cliff hanger, yea that one is about how the guardians (you as the player) learn to wield the darkness, an icy power called stasis. But it wasn’t shown in this compilation, it’s in the Beyond Light launch trailer. An interesting thing is that in the newest one coming out ,The Witch Queen is doing the same thing but opposite with her army, finding a way to wield the light rather than darkness to combat us.
Another amazing one was the Forsaken launch trailer as well. I totally get it’s difficult to find a solid compilation though so don’t worry ! We are just so appreciative either way you take the time to look into our interests even if you have no clue what it’s about.
Yeah this comp was just supposed to give us a taste of the world and showcase some of the different expansions and what not. We have a long way to go to get some more story and lore and get more hooked on franchise 😀
The shadowkeep trailer actually had a different song when it was first released, if you wanna listen to it, the ps4 version of the tailer still has it.

The little "Alexa" is called a Ghost. They have the ability to bring back their Guardian if they die. Cade-6'S hosts is named Sundance. The Ace reference where Cayde-6 is about to die and say's "I'm coming home, Ace" it is referring to his son who died, which he nicknamed as Ace. He was once human, but he threw his life away from gambling, and that his only way of escape was to sell himself to Clovis Bray's Exo program which gave him the robot-like appearance you see in the game

Ace was cayde-6 son. The little ghost/ companion of Osiris's are just called ghost and old Guardians have them. Kate had 12 until I got shot and then he lost his light which was the fire 🔥 glow and power.

I wanna try and be brief with some of these but,
In Destiny 1 you meet a robot girl/exo (who is the same one you see in the Beyond Light trailer) who is keeping an eye on you and wants you to destroy something called the heart of the black garden which is a maze like place in a different dimension where some Vex live. You receive help from the awoken and their queen (the same queen from House of Wolves trailer) who are pretty much humans w blue skin and "other world" powers explained later.
In Dark Below, we kill a Hive God called Crota on the moon who is threatening humanity and killed Eris Morn's Fireteam.
In House of Wolves we Help the Awoken Queen Mara Sov (from Destiny 1 campaign) capture the Kell(Leader) of the fallen (alien race) from the House of Wolves. Fallen have multiple Houses, kind of like tribes, and Mara Sov had become their leader as you saw in Destiny 1 campaign, and in exchange for her helping you now requests, you help her since the Wolves' leader was freed and has taken back the House of Wolves.
In Taken King, you meet Oryx, the big baddie and father of Crota.(the same Hive God we killed in Dark Below)
He is pretty much mad you killed his son and now wants revenge.
Oh yea, also he wasnt necesarily giving or taking power from those you saw in the trailer, he more so possesed their bodies and gave them different powers. I say possesed bodies because the soul of the creature is being forced to do the King's will and you can see in uts mannerisms it twitches like it tries to break free.
Rise of Iron is about a plague of nanomachines who have been found and used by some fallen to augment their bodies. Lord Saladin is they guy in the trailer you see who in game watches the Iron Banner which is like an amped up version of PvP which only comes round every few weeks.
Destiny 2 starts with some aliens called Cabal capturing the Traveler which gives us power and its up to us to take it back.
Curse of Osiris is us finding Sagira (the ghost who was left on the sand) and helping it save Osiris.
Warmind is about us helping Ana Bray, who is the handler of the system wife weapon Rasputin, an AI who started as a weather AI ensuring the plantes of the solar systems were in good health and later repurposed into an inter planetary defense system.
Forsaken is about us Avenging Cayde-6 (Hunter Vanguard which in essence is the representatives of the Hunters in the Hierarchy) who is killed by Uldren Sov, brother to the Awoken Queen, Mara Sov from House of Wolves.
Shadowkeep we return to the Moon to investigate a dormant power who has been chasing the Traveler for so long and is awakening a darkness around us.
Beyond Light is us exploring more about the Darkness and whether its so bad as people tend to believe, or can it be used as a tool for good. On your adventure you are helped by "The Exo Stranger" i.e the same Exo that told you to destroy the Heart of the Black Garden in Destiny 1, also known as Elsie Bray, long lost sister thought to be dead of Ana Bray, handler of Rasputin and granddaughters of Clovis Bray, who created the Exo Program in the first place.
And now we are on Witch Queen.
That has been my summary of events, though ive missed a lot of details, hope this helps.
Edit: Oh yea, Savathun aka the Witch Queen is Oryx, the Taken King's Sister.
So ghosts revive the travelers. And Osiris Ghost was thrown through the portal. Now, how long does a ghosts have to revive someone? And can a Ghost be revived if it is broken? Basically, is there some way they can bring Cayde-6 back? 😢 Could he be Cayde-7? 🤔
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames So the traveler is The huge white Sphere in the sky you see throughout the trailer's. Essentially it is a Mechanical being from what we know that during the first colapse of humanity, fell asleep and in its last breath created Ghosts to revive noble fallen warriors to fight for Humanity, which is implied due to the traveler finding refuge at the Last City of humanity. Hence why you can see in one of the trailers, a space ship flying towards a city with that White Sphere in the sky, Ghost's revive guardian's (i.e us the player) and once it's found our dead body which has probably been dead for ages, we have no memory of who we are.
2 fun facts,
1: The Traveler once blessed The Fallen (The race of aliens that form the various houses such as the house of wolves) or Eliksni as they were once known.
And 2: Uldren Sov, who is Mara Sov's (Awoken Queen's) Brother was placed under a spell and was the one who killed Cayde-6. 😭
Im the campaign of Forsaken, we exact our revenge and it is implied that we Kill Uldren Sov.
However, In Beyond Light, during the seasonal content, we realize that a Ghost has revived Uldren Sov, therefore he has no memories of his Sister, his home, nor the fact he killed Cayde-6 so its a great dynamic to us the player in how to treat a new guardian when we all know his past, except him. At the moment, Savathun has revealed to him his memories and he is in isolation trying to make sense of it all, so we are not sure of what he is thinking.
Also, in the same season we realize this about The Crow (new guardian Identity of Uldren Sov), Sagira, Osiris' ghost is destroyed, and starts a wholenstoryline of how Savathun was Osiris all along. Mara Sov traps Savathun and promises to exercise her wyrm which is like a source of power but requires her to kill constantly (lot of lore there, just look up "books of sorrow).
This past week we just did that, and now Savathun is free and the Real Osiris is back.

To answer your other 2 question's. The time a ghost takes to revive you can vary, depending on whether or not you are in a zone that has lots of darkness. In the game these are pretty much wipe zones, if you are in a fireteam of 3 in a regular strike, you are given 45 seconds to respawn in this zone. If all three of you fall, you restart from theblast checkpoint. If you are in a raid and you die, only your teammates can revive you, however they can only do so once per encounter so its a different dynamic. Yet I know this is all in game stuff, because you would think how Eris Morn Got out of the Moon, some believe she made a Hive pact and she no longer has a ghost as well.
Can Ghosts be repaired? Mmmmm... to a certain extent. In Curse of Osiris we kind of helped Sagira get back but she possessed our ghost instead. So if infusing light into a semi broken ghost could give it life for a few before fully recovering. Also, The Drifter, who is the human who had a rebreather in the Beyond Light Trailer coming off the ship, he does not trust ghosts. He is like a conspiracy theorists. Asks why does the ghost seem so adamant in helping us and why it does what it does. What are its motivations and tells us it cant be trusted.
If im not mistaken, The Drifter (whose real name is not sure but could be Eli, Germaine, Wu Ming) has modified his ghost to do only certain tasks and doesnt have a real relationship with it as we do. He keeps it stored and doesnt let it out and only refers to it to "do its job" when necesary. The ghosts and The traveler as well are mysteries to us the playerbase. Still so much we do not know, which in essence is why some of us sympathize with the Drifter in his doubts.
Now, as for Cayde-6 im sorry to break it to you but he isn't coming back.
Cayde-6 was revived a Guardian. And to understand Cayde-6 and why he cannot, im sure youve seem in the other comments how they say Cayde was a man before he became an Exo. An Exo are frames ina sense that can house Human consciousness. Im not doing it justice much, but if you are intrested in learning more about their workings, look up Clovis Bray, or Deep Stone Crypt on youtube, there are videos that go more in depth on them. Its also very dark and sinister, as would be anyone trying to perfect humanity and make them immortal by placing their consciousness into robot bodies. Just think of the Trial and error.
Anywhoo, Cayde-6's ghost is destroyed, therefore he can no longer be revived.
Technically speaking if his Mind is still in the Clovis Bray Databanks, he COULD come back, but he wont be the same Cayde-6. He would be Cayde-7 but have no memory of being our friend or hunter vanguard or anything. He would be a blank slate with his personality alone.
(Also its rumored that the reason Cayde died was because they couldnt get Nathan Filion to voice Cayde anymore so they sent him off with a bang and his voice in Forsaken is different, olayed by Nolan North, though he does a damn good job at it)

I'd recommend checking out all the lore/stories/videos pertaining to The Last Wish, Last Wish Raid, Riven/Riven of a Thousand Voices. Very cool. Starts with the Forsaken campaign cinematics which Riven is technically in. Last Wish is an amazing adventure - watching some 'first raid clear' type videos for the in-game stuff would be entertaining for you, even if you don't do a video on it.

Man, the memories. Seeing all of these trailers after playing through The Witch Queen really just shows how far we've come, Bungie and our community as a whole. I'm incredibly grateful for Destiny, I've made so many friends and have so many incredible memories of this franchise, even through the lowest of lows and highest of highs like right now with Witch Queen. Also if you are at all interested in the lore of Destiny (mind you it's incredibly expansive and deep) I'd highly recommend anything from My Name Is Byf, aka The Lore Master of the Destiny Community. It's a very long watch but *The Complete Story of Destiny* if you wanna learn of the origins. Either way I thoroughly enjoyed the reaction and trip down memory lane, appreciate it guys.
