Cool video; I've always found anarchy servers to be the closest to mimicking real life. Stories are told mainly by victors, wars, griefs that affect groups, structures built and destroyed, etc. You can't really get that on any other game
Anarchy servers are very cool! Recently started playing on one myself! I do want to mention its a big honour seeing you here as i watched a bunch of your vids as inspiration for this one!

2B and Contantium are microcosms of the real world. While undertaking a meticulous and time consuming build, I often think of the monks in Tibet making one of their sand pictures. They put months of work in to a single picture made on the floor using different coloured sand. Once finished (or sometimes incomplete) the picture is either destroyed by the monks or the CCP. The purpose of this excercise is to both teach and learn how fleeting life is. Nothing lasts forever. We are but grains of sand that can be easily scattered in the wind but together, we can form a masterpiece. The griefers play a pivotal role in the whole dynamic and without them, the very core of the anarchy server would be lost. Just as a CCP soldier can walk over a sand picture to destroy it, completing the pictures life cycle, so to the griefers complete the build cycle. From nothing a build rises, and to nothing it will return. If a sand picture is not destroyed by someone else, the monks will destroy it as the cycle needs to complete. This is probably the reason some very large builds were griefed by their creators. Subconsciously they needed the build to complete the cycle.

On an anarchy server you can make fun of people all you want but if you say even the slightest thing against furries or femboys in a SMP server or something like that you'll be slapped with "hate speech" and then get dogpiled by a bunch of Dream chuds before getting muted or whatever. Anarchy servers are merely a remnant of what Minecraft used to be, indie, decentralized, you can do whatever you want, play with whoever you want, say whatever you want. Now you can't really do any of those things. It's becoming very corporate and stale and the amount of players that are playing the game are decreasing and unless Mojang actually does something, people are not going to play Minecraft anymore. The veterans are leaving and the youtubers have to attract kids to the game but the game is going to get very boring and will eventually die out, albeit to an audience of atleast like 100k or 200k players at all times or so. The updates have been pointless and not really appealing and unless they actually add something to the game that players want like more bosses or whatever, then it is just going to die, simple as. You can't keep a game like this running for more than 100 years, it is just going to get boring, simple as. The only way you can sort of prevent that is to try and make it addictive, which I suppose you can see with Prison Servers and other grindy servers like Gen servers which is yet another reminder of the mobile gamification of Minecraft, even Bedrock and Bedrock Servers are becoming more like mobile games with their microtransactions. Unfortunately, no Minecraft Server really exists for the sole purpose of providing fun, they are all businesses, no matter how big or small, money is on the line and everyone wants to go get it through intrusive and EULA-defiant ways. But at this point, who cares about the EULA anyways?
