I had a similar situation. I went to the closest grocery store just before a storm was about to start last spring. Upon heading home on foot I founda lost white kitten by the dumpster near the grocery store . It looked hungry and was meowing. Seeing that he wasn't going to be safe out here, my first instinct was to bring the kitten home. So I did despite the fact that my husband doesn't like cats. But with this kittens cute little face, I asked, " how can you resist this cute little face?". Then I gave him a cute little look, and my husband caved in and said I could have it. My cat and I now have the tightest bond ever between feline and human ❤ we could ever have.
@@Damanios Didn't realize till I read your post. Makes sense. Everything in this video is very wrong. Very click bait. Bored, and thought I might learn something new, but no... everything in this video are based on observations of a person who has been around a cat for a few weeks. Oh well.... maybe the next click bait thing i click on will have something useful, or at least entertaining. Cats do apologize, but it is rare. Often when caught red handed, they will let out a high pitched "mew:..... then lower their heads and look up with their eyes.... similar to how a dog lowers their heads. Other ways too, but more subtle.
I'm a 6'3" 54 year old dude and my cats turn me into a softie that cuddles and gives kitty kisses. They give so much relaxtion and love, They love licking and biting my ears, nuzzling and kneading my chest. They are just a joy to be with, but also like their own time and so do I. Perfect companions.
My current outdoor cats never share their catch. They will catch something then run away to enjoy it in peace. I can respect that. Ive had cats bring me presents and it was very exciting.
I once had my cat bite my hand randomly while I was petting her. I immediately talked to her like a human would. "Hey! What was that?!" The cat immediately blinked at me and licked the spot she bit and was nice.
I don't know, I just understand cats. I have 3 right now and they are all unique individuals who operate in completely different ways. Like when I brought the 2 new kittens home, my older one was trying to act like he was all bothered but he was just being dramatic. He was all nice to them when I wasn't around.
There was a cat named Billie on TH-cam that literally spoke to its owners through the little buttons. The owner documented teaching her and talking to her, she passed away a little while ago but that cat could talk, like understood what questions were. There’s a dog that does the same thing too. I get my cat to press the treat button when she wants one and the outside button when she wants to go to the balcony.
My mom had a cat (RIP Shadow) who LOVED baked chicken. My mom brought a little guinea hen home from the store for herself, and the cat started begging for some. My mom said "NO, this is my chicken. If you want some, go get your own." The cat replied "Okay" and went outside. Came back ten minutes later with a (still alive) robin in her mouth and looked up at my mom as if to say "There, I got my own. Now cook it for me."
My cat of 5 years old just started learning to play fetch, with his favorite toy mouse. He sometimes gets rambunctious when I need to be sleeping, he eventually settles down with kneeding and grooming. He then curls up and we go back to sleep 😊
One of clearest signs I've seen that a cat while they may not experience remorse in a way a human might understand it can be genuinely regretful about hurting you even though may have a very different from either human or canine mindset about it came from a deeply bonded and very playful cat I had once(who I still miss). When they were younger and I was teaching them claw manners one thing I did when they bit or scratched too hard was as quickly as possible while doing it gently snatch my hand away with an "ow" and start licking it. Basically a "this hurts me and if you go too far I may need to stop playing". It... eventually worked a bit TOO well for my taste in that they refused to hand wrestle at all when that's one thing I actually like with cats if we can do it gently in way that's fun for both of us. They did for a bit after that feel OK with pouncing on my hand if I would do something like put it under a rug and make scratching noises though. A bit because after one particular incident they stopped. When i did that and then took my hand out of rug. They gave me this look that seemed genuinely *hurt* and *reproachful*, came up to me and started gently licking my hand. Could never be convinced to play "pounce under the rug or blanket" again after either so it was >20 rounds daily of fetch with plastic bottle caps(was her favourite game anyways).
How do you explain my male cat lactating for a tiny, orphaned male kitten I found abandoned? The male ginger saved that kitten by nurturing it. Blew my mnd.
I’ve been going on trips lately, anywhere from eight days to three weeks. I’ve worried continuously about my fur babies. One in particular. My LUX, he is a special cat, and I absolutely adore him. If I could, I’ll bring them with me, but I don’t think you’d like it. The first time I was gone for more than a week he was mad when I came home and wouldn’t talk to me. Then he changed his mind and I couldn’t get him to stop hugging me and being on me and near me. Now the last time I came home after being gone for nine days, when I got into the house, I looked out and I saw him running up the driveway, moving faster, and faster as he noticed that on my car was there. He was so happy to see me. 2025 will be the worst year being gone. But it will be the last time I’ll be gone for that long and that much. After which I’ll only be gone for a few weeks once in 2026… for 3 weeks, and 1 time foe 8 days. And then not gone at all in 2027.
Here's the thing. My neighbour has two cats and she didn't mind them visiting but she asked people not to feed them. I'm sorry to say I had some treats though, which I kept on a chair in the kitchen, behind a cushion. One day I heard some rustling, and I discovered Oscar-boo trying to help himself. And I have never, in all my 60+ years of living with cats, seen such guilt on a cat 's face as he looked at me. he was almost scared that I was going to be cross with him, which I'd never been. So ... He had no consequences to go on, and he did seem to know that he shouldn't, that it was wrong.
My Cat recently apologised for attacking my toupee.... when I was wearing it. She ran off with it and I found it in the tropical fish tank. It looked like a dead starfish. I had a job interview the next day with a well known Bank. The toupee was in a terrible state, when I put it on I looked like I had been given a haircut by Edward Scissorhands. If that was not bad enough when I had the job interview and nodded two small fish fell out onto the desk. I'm still waiting to hear if I got the job, but to be honest I'm not that hopeful.
My cat always come to me after he swiping at me or not wanting me to let her and she comes up and kicks my hand as if she is saying I'm sorry and then waits for me to let her then she gets in my lap

Get an older cat or kitten, they’ll brighten your life forever. Leave the water and food out. Change the litter box when needed or less or it’s an outside cat. They stick by you. Easy stuff.
All kittehz eez GOOD kittehz. ❤️😺❤️ But they're explorative, curious, childlike, loving, protective, and sensitive. And what do you expect? Their brains aren't the size of those found in humans. They can't magically become that complex. But they're still complex beings. They *can* learn, and they do.
This is a really good video! I'm glad to see someone explaining this because I think this is important as cats often get a reputation for not having an emotional world.
This video is crap. It's manipulating human psychology. All the ways shown/explained here are the exact things cats do when they are happy, consider 'owner' as their own, content, and feel happy & relaxed near their 'owners'. What cats actually do is sit silently near you but still a bit far, it's like they know they did something wrong, so until they hear your normal, happy voice (tone), they hesitate.
"Cats doesn't understand guilt & remorse the way humans or even dogs understand", repeated again & again for the first 5mins. Actual content of the title actually begins from there onwards 😏. Anyway informative video
I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. Losing a pet is never easy-they truly become our family. Sending you lots of love and strength during this difficult time.
I'm sad for you! I'm 72 always had 1 to 3 cats! They all have long life's! My little girl I have now is 15 years old! She is my last fur baby!😢 I have to out live her! They don't understand when there Mommy or Daddys go and don't come back! They get sad and think it's something they have done! It's so sad! I need to be there for her to hold her when it's her time! It's always so sad! I remember all of my fur baby's! The love and joy they gave me❤
This video implies a cat would have to apologize. In my world a cat can do no wrong so they would never need to apologize. If anything I should apologize to her for not loving her more and need to be doing more for her.

Cats bring gifts to make amends?
I can understand cats engaging in calming behavior if an owner is upset but I figure gifts serve a different purpose.

Yes they do lol my cat puts his head down and walks slowly towards me when he knows he bit me too hard.
