I was really HOPING to fix everything with NOODLES and SUPER GLUE!! heheh. I do use gap filling super glue a lot, just not for windshields. At least not yet! Fantastic. Thanks for the fun.
When Vlad said "Where did the crack go?", the first thing that popped in my head was "It's on the windshield you removed and stashed in the corner". Glad to see my reaction was right.
Noodles and super glue ARE good for filling out gaps. But not on glass :) I used them to fill out broken plastic bumpers. No one noticed the difference.
Although very skeptical, I was hoping this would actually work. Permatex sells a product that does essentially the same for small windshield cracks. It works with UV-cured epoxy being injected with a suction cup syringe system. I used it once, it made a rock chip about 50% less visible and prevented the crack it caused from spreading.
I knew it wasn’t the same windshield because no one can ever make a windshield that clean and see thru unless it was new the thing was so dirty before then crystal clear after wards I love u guys always anyway😮
I'm glad you did the reveal, I was almost really disappointed with you guys, thinking you thought we were idiots and would believe that actually worked! 😂
LMAO I was gonna say - you'd definitely need to scrape off some of the krazy glue, it wouldn't just be flush and completely blended (assuming this were to work)
This was definitely entertaining, but I kinda knew better when it came out New in the end. I do have a super glue and baking soda hack that can patch up the sidewall of a tire that actually works. It's not meant to last the full life of a tire, but will definitely get you where you're going if someone stabs the sidewall of your tire with a pocket knife or screwdriver as I've actually done this before in a pinch. This can easily last 500 miles (1000km) if done correctly and you drive kinda easy on it. Also add a bit of extra air pressure to minimize side flex can make it last longer. Would be really cool to see y'all do this in a future experiment, and probably not many people know this trick actually works. You'll need a tire with a hole stabbed in the sidewall not bigger than a finger, super glue, baking soda, and an air compressor. You apply to super glue first making sure to get it inside and hold good and apply generously, then pour a little pile of the baking soda on top of the super glue till it's covered before preceding to mash it down with your finger. Blow off the excess baking soda powder and you should find a hard plastic like substance made from the reaction between the glue and the baking soda. Continue to repeat the process maybe adding a little bit of air along the way until a nice and solid patch has formed. Continue building the diameter of thickness until it's sufficient to hold air and drive on. This also may take multiple attempts.
you shouldn't boil them, the ca glue should be the 'liquid' of the equation, blend together and push in there. if you have water in the mix that's no good. also you guys should buy superglue in a can instead of the small stuff, surely you would find uses for it.
U should do a video we’re u fill a lada completely with spray foam inside and out and try to make it drive and float on and off land with out changing the outside and adding floats
When repairing a thermal crack in a windshield glass or a seismic crack in the earths substrate, geologic mass,or tectonic plate,I vote for Vlad to fly in with a complete assembly as a solution.Thakyou for keeping the world of us gearheads stitched together.
When they peeled the tape off, it was in one piece, magic trick considering that the tape was placed in little pieces, I did not know it was October fools day
cleaning cracks is a job for the ladies Helen uses wire brushes on her crack that keeps appearing in her bathroom after a few weeks she will have to come back to her crack to trim it now and again
If it *was* actually true it wold be a really bad idea. With modern cars the windshield is actually part of the roof structure and there has been cases where the incorrect glue was used around the perimeter of a replacement windscreen. The cars were later involved in a rollover and the roof collapsed, leading to great injury for the occupants. A windshield with a hidden crack would not be as strong as an intact windshield.
I got a video idea. Replace the brake fluid in a car with water and see how the braking performance and feel change depending on the brake temperature.
The error detection part of my brain went off the second you peeled the tape off and the crack vanished. I knew there was no way that could work. Good try though.
This may have been tried before on this channel, but: what would happen if the front and back wheels were linked by a bar, similar to a steam locomotive?
@@billbar8532 Nobody said it *would* get around a corner, 'brainiac'. If you think all the projects on Garage 54 result in street legal and daily drivable cars, then you haven't been watching Garage 54 for very long.
Can you suck air/fuel mix out of a carburetor with a shop vac ... and will it explode as the mix gets in contact with the commutator of the air cooled e-motor?
This was super helpful, my windshield looks good as new! You should do a video on changing blinker fluid too.
Must be done every 8000 years!
I wish we also had videos on how to change the transmission sand and adjusting the piston lighting.
Sometimes I just buy new blinkers. Getting the fluid into the bulbs is an absolute PITA.
A friend has a BMW that is 10 years old. The blinker fluid level still shows 'topped off'. How can that be?
@@Colorado_NativeSelf filling if you leave them parked outside. Likely since the engine is probably blown 🤷♂️
This isn't the first time you tried to trick us. Way to keep us on our toes 😂😂😂
I believe he mentioned he tried it before

DIY hacks are fun, but the time spent on theme, u may as well work a few hours over time and just get a new one
Didn't they do a flying Lada as well?

That was a good one. I have a stone peck and you almost convinced me to try it to keep it from running.
super glue only... as a temp. Also you can drill tiny holes to stop the spread. fill it up with cilicone. Again it is only a temp fix

Garage54 is amazing
Better watch your pfp might get stolen🤣🤣
I didn't expect this procedure to be a 107% success
Haha, i knew it would involve a replacement 😂
Those silly "life hacks" are always BS.

When i saw the noodles , i checked the date - was it 1 April ?
I compared frames, with the tape on the new window, it was slightly too high on the right side.
Still a very nice job, almost got me :P
Fix a cracked windshield with "glass" noodles.🤣🤣🤣 Don't forget to top off the blinker fluid!

LoL. I knew this was gonna be something like you did with the piston return springs,😂

I thought it was a new windscreen... so glad you owned up.... excellent video as always... Thank you.!

Any bearing mufflers, wiper brakes, piston return springs and blinker fluid episodes?
They did piston return springs
I love these guys. Funny and fun. Bet they are cool to hang out with
I knew it! I went back and fourth before and after the cut and could tell the tape was slightly off so I could tell it was a new windshield 😂
I noticed the fingerprints on top left of windscreen between the cuts.

I was going to call BS when I saw the tape. At 9:09 the tape is not overlapped the same as it is at 9:34
It is a joke yes but still an interesting concept. I'm not mad actully. I like that you fooled me. Thanks Garage 54. I had a blast.

I would have liked to have seen what the windshield looked like
I was going to comment! NO WAY…. GLAD you told the truth.
you can actually minimize the appearance of a windshield crack by forcing resin into the crack
Should've kept this video for April fool's day 😂😂😂
Funny how the whole windshield became free from scratches after the last layer of glue, must be some serious black magic in them noodles you got lol
Dam that's a sweet lancer, sitting in my '14 right now
Somewhere, there is a guy who did not watch to the end. A man who just spent $30 on glass noodles and super glue.
Next up; Revulcanising your tyres with nothing but a campfire... :P

You got me 😂. I am not mad I am putting this on Facebook.
It was easy because there were no glass noodles. there are rice noodles, and you can't repair cracks as well
Amazing video, keep it up.
I feel like you should be paying me to watch this video now
I replaced the missing lenses of my glasses with glass noodles, I can see through womens clothes now.
Thank god its only April the 1st, I thought Christmas was round the corner...

Even proper UV resin wont make a crack disappear. Good for a laugh.
Am I alone in wanting to see the noodle windshield
Im still going to try it!
I feel like this glass noodle thing is a teaser for upcoming videos :P
That was as enjoyable as the drift taxi vids it's never what it seems to be....
Should've ate the noodles instead ! lol
awe dammit. And here I was thinking if it can work on a windscreen I can also use it as coil overs.
how about glass fiber cloth, well you can use point heat to melt it as continuous glass

not sure how you could have kept a straight face that whole time haha

You can see from the video that the tape it's different between the video cuts :))

What happens if you pump really thick smoke int the intake on a engine. Like yellow smoke from leaves or wood chips.
I recommend just replacing the windshield.
But what do I do with the "CHICKEN" Flavoring powder?
