I love restoring vintage odds and ends. What antique do you want to see Restored?

I like when people try to keep the original vibe of whatever they're restoring instead of trying to reinvent it, I really appreciate it
Excellent idea with laser engraving the gold leaf. Worked a treat 👌
Обалдеть, весы ожили. Спасибо, лайкаю мастеру за труд.
Hello mister beautifully restored good job well done
It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up for the support of your channel
Very nice job. Loved the puns too
I literally picked up a cousin to this scale just the other day, in about the same shape, minus the manure. Same general shape and idea, but slightly smaller, different name on the front, slightly different weight range markings, and the back of mine is squared off instead of rounded.
And here I was thinking "Do I just file down the rivets, crack it open, and see what I'm working with? Is this the piece where I dive in, instead of just watching other people do it on youtube?"
Apparently, yes! So glad I've got this to be something of a guide. 😊
My mom says that in "Call The Midwife" (and presumably IRL too) they had scales similar to these in their kits - they'd put the newborn baby on a shawl or whathaveyou, tie a knot to make a sling, then hook it thru the hook of a scale like this, in order to weigh the babies!
Thank you. Nice entertainment and job.
This kind of scales are build over hundred Years and we can buy them brand new. There are not much tools, which exist so long till now. That makes it worth to restore. Thanks for the Video.👍👍👍👍👍
thanks for the hook
I really liked this restoration. Especially your fix for the heavily pitted faceplate and how you salvaged it. Your solution to restoring the text and lines by engraving in the gold leaf was a bit inspired. Well done on this project.
I seriously thought the punchline to your gym joke would be, "It's just not going to "workout". BA DUM TISS🤣
Amazing what can be accomplished if you really want too. With the gold leaf surface, it doubled the value for sure... Thumbs Up!
Fantastic job. Absolutely amazing. Thank you
Fantastic restoration! Loved what you did with the JB Weld! 👍
Great little job there dude 👉👉👉. Very nicely rebuilt 👏👏👏. Thanks 🙏. 😎
Fantastic work. That looks real good after renovation 👍👍
Amazing restoration 👍👏
Congratulations and Greetings from Belgium 😉🇧🇪👋
That's awesome. You do such amazing work. Were you 'trained' in restoration or is this just stugg you kearned through doing itt? My mom ,ikes to restore things and she actually took courses in restoration sciences for things like jewelry, metalwork, gilding, mechanical restoration. She wanted to learn to repair travel clocks. A lot of them were ornate and required courses in several things like paint restoration and woodworking. But in the end, the classes were kimd of pointless and she apprentices with a local antiques dealer that does restorations. Or she did, and now doesn't do any of that, but she was learning cool, stuff
Nice job!
Nicely done. 👍
"Y' load sixteen tons"... and you'll need to restore it again! 😁
How pretty that came out! Nice work!
Awesome job
“It’s perfect”
Sounds like you’re job at the gym wasn’t working out 😂
It can get to be pretty repetitious.
Superb job 👏👏 Love the joke 🤣🤣👏🌈😀🇦🇺👏👏
that gold, doesn't really match. Nickel plating or chrome paint would look much nicer imo.
