    I had to do this today on my Focus ST Diesel, only done 23k from new and last winter the frigging pedal started to stick down. Mine is incredibly tight in the bay as the air con pipes run infront of the high/low pressure pipes so making them hard to remove off the cylinder, ended up removing the scuttle and wiper arms. I removed the whole steering column as I needed to see and for room. I managed to get mine out and in without undoing that crappy bar that runs across the top of the pedals but it was tight. This part is such a common fail on the Mk3's but as usual all denied by Ford, some are lucky and have it happen during warranty as for me?? Royally Shafted! But at least I'm competently able to do the job myself. Enjoyed the vid!!

    @kennedy's garage this is an awesome one! You've inspired me to tackle this challenging task myself (seems reasonably tangible)
    My only concern is finding the correct torque setting for the steering column linkage bolt and whether it will need threadlocker (also which one).

    Any ideas?

      @@Rory_Semple top up the brake then open the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder, give the clutch pedal a few pumps. Then top it up again and repeat the process. Eventually the fluid will flow from the high point (brake fluid reservoir) to the low point (slave cylinder bleed nipple) by gravity. All this to happen for a minute or 2 & that’s it 😉

    • @kennedysgarage3281

      Mostly the pedal goes soft overnight & what I find a good test is :
      Clamp the flexible hose from chassis to gearbox then leave overnight. Then see if the pedal is soft or hard the next day ??
      Soft = master cylinder
      Hard = slave cylinder
