I can really hear the Pokemon Emerald soundfont in this deconstruction. I can't really tell when playing normally that they have the same soundfont, but they absolutely do.
It's hard… I can't deconstruct the GBA file had too many attempts because of my NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and Gameboy that recommends you to deconstruct all non-Nintendo songs.
I started humming this entire song from start to finish (Brawl version) with what felt correct but then as I got the end I started realizing I was correctly humming the wrong song... I was thinking of the song that plays when Lucas is being chased by that statue (I don't know Mother 3 sorry), but I was actually humming the song in this video before I started listening to this video. That was a hell of a weird moment for me. Anyway, best Mother song IMO. Edit: This was very interesting to listen to, I've never heard the original song before. Definitely a cool song.
I wonder why the kettle drums move from channels 6 and 7 to just channel 6, and why the snare drum moves from channel 8 to channel 7, when channel 8 is silent after the switch? And channels 9 and 10 were only used for the crash cymbals in the beginning?
It was only a matter of time until GBA oscilloscope started showing up here! I'd like to know why exactly it took so long, were you having trouble setting up the software. Compared to other utilities abgplay is a bit unorthodox to use since it's not native to Windows. It took me a lot of time trying to install it and get it to work.
I just didn't know how to use it at the time and even when I made it to the final part with Cygwin ("./agbplay (file name).gba"), it was still confusing because I did everything right and still got error messages :/ And 1 day, out of nowhere, I did the EXACT same thing as before and agbplay finally worked… H- how!? 🗿 Eh, at least I can make some GBA oscillostructions now.
@@Orj_Osc I recall also compiling everything as intended and then getting errors simply because the cygwin terminal wasn't set at the current color type. That was so frustrating 😭
You need to install Cygwin : www.cygwin.com/install.html Then while downloading, you'll see a list of components. You need to install "make" ; "gcc-g++" ; "libboost-devel" ; "libportaudio-devel" ; "libncurses-devel" ; "libsndfile-devel" ; "libjsoncpp-devel". Then drag & drop the agbplay folder you've downloaded in C:/cygwin/home/user (name it "agbplay" and you need to have a .gba file in it) Launch Cygwin and write "cd agbplay", then "make". It will automatically compile all the files and install agbplay. (it's pretty slow so you have to wait) And finally, write "./agbplay (file name).gba" and it's done!!!

That's just Porky's Theme. Which is interesting because both songs start out completely different so idk how you got it mixed up
