🦋 Hey bea-YOU-tiful butterflies and savvy skintellectuals! Hi, I just want to say thank you! I found your channel a couple of months ago and you've really helped me understand my skin and what I need to do for it. I also really like your personality and sense of humour! I really support cruelty free and vegan brands like you and you inspired me to go vegan and it really has impacted my life. I just want to say thank you once again because you really have changed my life!
Nisha Menon I’m so grateful that you not only are a part of this skintelligence community, but also for taking the time to write such a sweet and heartfelt comment! I’m so happy that you have found solutions that work for your skin, and match your morals and values! I’m happy to be on that journey with you, but commend you for your amazing dedication to learning more about your skin! Thank you for being here!
I don't think it's appropriation. It's just using a word from another language. If you listen to KPOP they often have English words or phrases in the songs. It's kind of the same.
I've been watching you since I was 14 years old! I'm currently 23 and all I can say is this channel has aged well! I appreciate all of your recent videos especially
You are so sweet 🦋💕❤️ I can’t tell you what a pleasure it is to have you here throughout the past decade, and the fact that you took the time to comment and share this! I’m so happy that you have been enjoying recent videos - I definitely love the focus that this channel has taken. Thank you so much for being here throughout the entire, beautiful, sometimes turbulent, but overall empowering journey! 🦋💕❤️
LOL you’re amazing! Yes, I do tend to use too much product on my hands because I’m used to applying it to the face, or trying to make it look good for the photo or video! I certainly hope this means that my hands will look amazing years down the line 😂😍
I wanted to THANK you! My husband and I bought the line of products you recommended in this video. Our skin has CLEARED up! Finally! We've both been struggling to find a skincare routine that would work and were constantly inbetween breakouts. Your recommendations and many other videos helped us better understand the science of skin and find a golden routine at a third of the cost we were paying. Thank you for putting these videos together. I look forward to seeing more.
I got rid of all my beauty subscriptions while I was cleaning out my subscription list, but I couldn’t let this one go. I have so much respect for you, and your humility and honesty💚
I appreciate you so much! A good clean out is always good to do, and I actually had to do something similar around a year ago. It was really sad to unsubscribe to some make up channels that I used to watch, but just weren’t of interest to me anymore. I think that as we grow, we learn more and develop new priorities! For what it’s worth, I’m so happy that you’re still here, and that you still find this content educational and entertaining! Love you and appreciate you! 💜❤️

Yea that Heimish Balm rocks! And you're so right. It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to find cruelty free Korean skincare, but it's getting easier. I know YesStyle has a cruelty free filter which is really helpful when searching 👍🏻
The minute she spoke about the toner... I paused and purchased it! Getting it tomorrow. You have seriously taught me so much and changed my perception on beauty products! Also have a couple of the Ordinary products coming in. THANK YOU!!!
I am so glad I found your channel! I am 47 years old and have NEVER taken care of my skin until now. Your info has been amazing. I've bought almost everything from The Ordinary and now the Korean brands you have recommended. Thank you for all of your hard work putting these videos together.

Thank you Cassandra. I never knew anything about K beauty. As an older female (55+) I don’t follow many young influencers. You introduced me to The Ordinary about 8 months ago and enjoy many of their products now that I have a better understanding of how they all work. But I wanted to tell you that I just received the Frudia Pommegranit Essence Toner and really like it. I’m currently rotating it with the Ordinary Glycolic Toner. But the one item that just blew me away was the Logically Skin Aquatide Resurfacing Serum. This is now my #1 must have anti aging treatment. I had visible results after one use! That’s right just one use. I actually did a double take in the mirror. My lines and wrinkles were visibly diminished and my skin felt soft, plump and supple. I can’t wait to see how it does long term. So thank you again for bringing the science and education to the beauty products so we can all find what really works for us.
In the past few months I have been switching out my American products to Korean in my skincare routine..an amazing decision I have made! I am enjoying snail mucin, mugwort, propolis, galactomyces, centella etc. I am loving my routine! My favorite product is my Missha Artemisia essence! My go to sunscreen is Purito comfy water gel!
I love Cassandra’s enthousiasme about Korean skincare. I recently started using Korean skincare about 3 months ago and am very happy with the results I see. Love that the products are formulated with good ingredients for a very reasonable price. I even got my 75 year old mom into using Koeren skincare. 😊 We are never going back to Paula’s Choice.
Cassandra, you rock! I started using The Ordinary several years ago when I could only get it from Canada. The number of products was overwhelming. Thank goodness for you helping me figure out what is best for my “mature” skin. And now, I’m going to transition from Algenist to K-Beauty. I thought I needed to spend major bucks to fight dryness and aging. Thanks for your honesty. I’m so glad I found your channel!
Cassandra I’m so excited! I just received all the products you’ve mentioned on this video from StyleVana. I’m gonna start using them all today. I have very sensitive skin & have always had problems finding face products that are good for my skin. And even if products are organic or natural, my face get’s a bad reaction. I love how you explain about the skin and product infos. Lately I’ve been watching K dramas and noticed the actors & actresses skin & never knew that they called it “glass” skin. The only product that StyleVana didn’t have available yet was the Purito skin barrier. Keep up with the awesome videos, love ya!!
I love you doing k-beauty! Hope to see more of this. I feel like there are are lot of quality cruelty free options that are more affordable than western beauty.
Centella asiática is great!!! Works on my husband’s red/dry patches. It does not get rid of them but is pretty much the only thing that doesn’t make his face sting.
If you live in a humid country and have oily skin like I do, it's actually ok to use toner with alcohol once a day especially at night to remove oil from inside pores, or once every other day, because alcohol kills pimple causing bacteria.
I have been purchasing K beauty for a few years and was happy to watch this video, especially since I did not know about this site. Thanks for your thorough product and ingredient explainations Cassandra:).
My best friend is Korean and she put me on to all her favorite products a couple of years ago and I have never gone back! Now all my skincare is Korean I love it soooo much. Seriously the best.
Cassandra, you have once again recommended some great products. Based off of this video I purchased three products; 1. FRUDIA - Avocado Relief Essence Toner, 2. heimish - All Clean Balm, and 3. make p:rem - UV defense me. Blue-ray sun fluid. They arrived quickly and I love all three. The FRUDIA toner feels so good on my skin and smells nice. The sunscreen goes on shiney but dries pretty matte. Thank you for this video!
My husband and I are new to your channel. Thank you for the accurate and amazing information. We have learned so much. Your channel is more like a virtual classroom. We take notes all the time. We love you!
This is a great list! Other cruelty free Korean beauty brands I know are Dear Klairs, CosRx, Atrue, Benton, RE:P, By Wishtrend, I'm From, Glow Recipe, Skin&Lab, E Nature, A True, Withmy, Aromatica. Most also carry vegan items for those who don't want animal by-products.
Your my favorite Beauty/ skincare influencer. I went to Amazon to look at your picks & I clicked on aging skin& all of the noodles products said unavailable do not know if they will become available. Since you like this brand so much I thought you might want to know😉 I am a skinintellectual as well & also go for cruelty free & good for our environment as well as companies who do NOT choose mediocrity. Keep educating us w/ ur darling personality & great sense of humor ❣
I am so grateful that you care enough for your fellow human to share your infinite wisdom that you gained through your hard work and research! gamsahabnida (thank you) and you say choenman-eyo (you’re welcome). : )
I am obsessed with that Sioris Time is Running Out Mist. The best mist I've ever used. The other mists that I've tried made my skin drier if I don't put moisturizer on top of it. This mist didn't. I can use this in the middle of the day unlike the other mists.
Thank you Cassandra for giving honest reviews, I can always trust you on sponsorship videos because I know you don't hold back on your opinions. Love you beautiful!!
K-beauty skin care products is the best for me My first time trying k-beauty products is from "somebymi" brand, i was like OMG it cleared all my acne while provide me a glass skin. I think, i would stick with k-beauty products till the end of my life. Thank you for sharing, love u
Oh my gosh I am so glad I found you and your videos! So refreshing to hear about science and what's going to work instead of hype. Between this video and the Frudia video I have 17 items in my Stylevana cart right now. I can't help myself I want to try them all. I should pace myself...pace myself....
I'm a newbie subscriber and I can totally relate to you and everything you say. So much so that I bought every single product you talk about in this video. I used Stylevana and all my stuff came to me in Australia really quickly. I used my night products tonight and cant wait to see how my skin looks in a few days. Thank you so much and keep doing what you are doing! Love your videos.
Thank you for posting this! I went vegan for ethics reasons recently and everyone’s been bugging me to try K beauty but a lot of their stuff isn’t vegan or cruelty free so this is sooo helpful love ya, cassandra😘
Your korean skincare video is seriously the best. I would love more of these because I love korean skincare, or maybe a follow up on this and how they have changed your skin
Did I absolutely love this video ? Yes Did I order right away using her coupon ? Yes Is my bank account crying ? A little bit Is my soul happy ? Yes 😂😭😭😭 Thank you Cassandra ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I highly recommend the CosRX korean brand. Their products are specifically targeted to Acne prone, Oily and sensitive skin. I love their centella cream and pimple patches!!! 😍 Promise you won't regret it!!!
I am so sososososooo happy to hear this!! Congratulations on understanding, caring for, and overall embracing your skin! It’s a pleasure to have you here and I commend you on your dedication to understanding your beauty’s biology! Pleasure to have you here!!
I literally beg you do a video on a Croatian brand, Skintegra. They have active ingredients, not ridiculous prices, the "infrared" product made insane incredible changes in my skin. I had acne & it literally did miracles.
Wow most awaited..TBH I just threw all my american skin care products for korean, bcuz it doesn't break me out and that I can use any product blindly without any worry. For sunscreen I use Missha sun milk thats holy grail I fell in love with sunscreen after using that one
Am I the only one who gets all warm, fussy and giddy when you get that TH-cam notification that Cassandra has ❤️ your comment? 🤗😍🤗😍🤗 No other TH-camr is as active, reassuring and downright amazeballs in their comment section as Cassandra is!! ❤️❤️❤️ LOVE THAT GIRL!
Thankyou @Cassandra for this long much awaited video, love the content. Was wondering if you could put a multi-part video talking about best products whether Korean or not you would recommend for each step in skin care for different skin care. There is so much overwhelming products out there which all looks so good but so confusing , hence it will be very helpful if you could make such a video
This is exactly what I was looking for thank you so much! I'm proud to say I spotted a lot of these already and have them saved in my wish lists but definitely not most of the products. I love learning about skincare! You give so much important and helpful info.
I have so many Purito products already. Now you make me want to buy more. I also wanted Sioris but only saw it on OhLolly and they don't have enough products that I wanted to order from them. I usually order from Yes Style or Style Korea, so thanks for this. And the iUNIK is a great dupe for overpriced Dr. Jart.
Fabulous selection. Nice to have your perspective on a couple on my wish list and wow, you’ve introduced others that have now got my attention. I am a bit dissapointed Stylevana don’t ship to Australia. Thanks for the video.
Worth investigating because I remember reading about the 'extract as first ingredient' thing is because of different labeling standards. Sulwhasoo did something similar with their products but had to reorder due to FDA regulations had to change how they labeled their products. I think it's something like in Korea, they can say 'plant extract', while in the US, the ingredients for that extract has to be broken down into component parts so it'd be 'plant + alcohol + water'. It's been several years that I came across this, though, so things may have changed/idk how accurate this is.
Late at the party but I think this is one of the comprehensive k-beauty product reviews I've ever seen! By the way, I currently use the IUnik Calming Gel at night and my oily skin is happy! Will definitely try the other products! 💛
Tried using the Frudia toner on my face but the first ingredient is witch hazel (alcohol) and was drying. My feet love it though! 😂 The L. S. Aquatide Resurface Serum is my jam! Ordering my next 50mL bottle!
Actually, there are a LOT of cruelty-free skincare, Korean or otherwise :) A quick google search and anyone can go cruelty free quite easily, if you don't mind switching up a brand or two. I've found that most of what I was using (after doing a lot of research into the best products) was cruelty free anyway! I love that you are including that in the video. I vouch for the Sioris mist! I didn't think I'd like it cuz of the oil, but it's actually perfect.
So I actually bought all of these products LOL what should be used in the day and what should be used in the evening? This would greatly help, thank you!
Can I just say how freakin happy I am to have found your channel!!! And I’m flipping with all the educational info I’m learning with each and every video you have! And all these cruelty free products make me so happy!!!!!! SO EXCITED TO TRY OUT THESE PRODUCTS! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
OMG, I just love your style and educational video you provide with honesty and integrity! I will for sure be clicking that bell and subscribe! I'm a newby! PS: I tried to order some of the items on Stylevana but your code did not work, or should say only applied about 5% of total basket of $130 worth. Thought you should know that just in case you want to get a hold of them so I ended up ordering directly from Korea as I am from there.... Either way, I learned a lot from this video of new products I have never heard of before we were quarantined - lots of time on the web! Thank you for the video and I would love to see more of these!!!! GREAT work!
Yes! My skincare routine is pretty much all Korean products with a couple The Ordinary favs thrown in. Besides going on Accutane, Korean skincare has been a saviour in my acne journey (Korean products also helped with the overdry discomfort of the Accutane Tx) Cosrx is my go to brand (been loving all the new products they've been releasing) and I love the Innisfree sheet masks and Missha sunscreens
Thank you so much for this video! I love K-beauty and was looking everywhere for a video that breaks down the best of the best in different skin care products!
One of the main ingredients of the Heimish Balm is a type of plastic called Polyethylene which depending on its molecular weight only partially degrades or not at all, just so everyone knows it's not the best thing to be throwing down your sink
Just placed an order at stylevana and wanted you to know that I only got 10% off with your code. Thats perfectly fine, just thought you should know. Thank you for your great videos. Learning so much every time! Best wishes from Germany. 🤗
I just recently found you and they way you break down everything is amazing and sometimes it might be much but i really appreciate it bc then i know im not putting whatever on my skin
Yayyy!!!! Thank you for telling that Korean beauty can be simple! Lots of youtube videos talks about only 20steps or 15steps k beauty ! But simple skincare is a trend in korea now 😁
You can sell me ANYTHING!! I bought ALL the items mentioned in this video! So grateful for the 15% off coz you saved me about $25-30 bucks! Thank you, Cassandra!!🙏 Been using k-products from SokoGlam and I’m really happy with them, but I’m looking forward to trying a new company! ❤️ variety- spice of life! Plus I’m addicted to facial products, especially Korean beauty!! Their R&D is amazing and they’re so thorough in their research and hence the efficacy of their products is outstanding!!
I’m ordering the avocado toner and the sleeping mask. I have extremely dry skin and ruined my lipid barrier after using a freaking crap toner. Can’t wait!
Bumped into your channel as I was researching products from The Ordinary that would best suit my skin (dry and eczema prone) and just started watching all your videos! Centella asiática is great!!! Works on my husband’s red/dry patches. It does not get rid of them but is pretty much the only thing that doesn’t make his face sting.
I love the way you break things down so that anybody can understand it and I appreciate how are you don’t talk too fast. Overall fantastic video💓
Cassandra, please do a full skincare routine out of Indian products.... It will be really helpful.
If you live in a humid country and have oily skin like I do, it's actually ok to use toner with alcohol once a day especially at night to remove oil from inside pores, or once every other day, because alcohol kills pimple causing bacteria.
I am so glad I saw this. I need desperately a sunscreen so I stopped the video and ordered this one immediately. Thank you
I have been purchasing K beauty for a few years and was happy to watch this video, especially since I did not know about this site. Thanks for your thorough product and ingredient explainations Cassandra:).
My best friend is Korean and she put me on to all her favorite products a couple of years ago and I have never gone back! Now all my skincare is Korean I love it soooo much. Seriously the best.
In terms of Korean SPFs, deffo try Purito Green Level Unscented Sun... words cannot describe how good it is.
Agreed.
Agreed. My favorite one so far.
I just ordered I have combination skin I hope it isn’t greasy I have high hopes for it
I accidently got the scented one, is ok for just this ine time ?
I will always love it so much. Absolutely my favorite.
I am so grateful for this video, I bought around 7 products of the ones listed and my skin is going through an absolute transformation!
by the way, you put the centella eye cream and the hyaluronic essence twice in the description!! love u
K-beauty skin care products is the best for me
My first time trying k-beauty products is from "somebymi" brand, i was like OMG it cleared all my acne while provide me a glass skin.
Whenever I do not use eye cream but use regular moisturizer around my eyes, I experience dryness. I like Purito eye cream
How was everything? Favorites?
@@michelew4769 All of them are favourites, but the best one of all is the Frudia Toner. I love the stuff. Honestly, my skin has never looked better.
I just ordered all of them. I only saw 3 videos of yours but i trust you some how. Here is my new routin! Thank you very much!!
Thank you for posting this! I went vegan for ethics reasons recently and everyone’s been bugging me to try K beauty but a lot of their stuff isn’t vegan or cruelty free so this is sooo helpful love ya, cassandra😘
The Purito eye cream works beautifully as a light weight moisturiser for the whole face. It's also a good size for an eye cream.
So grateful to have found all your informative, kind, well-researched, and helpful videos. Thank you for all of them, including this one!
Your korean skincare video is seriously the best. I would love more of these because I love korean skincare, or maybe a follow up on this and how they have changed your skin
Did I absolutely love this video ? Yes
Did I order right away using her coupon ? Yes
Is my bank account crying ? A little bit
Is my soul happy ? Yes 😂😭😭😭
Thank you Cassandra ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m so thankful for your recommendations, Korean skin care is so hard to navigate. I would have been so lost! 🙏🏻
I have been waiting to get new stuff until basically everything I have ran out. So glad I found this video!!
I highly recommend the CosRX korean brand. Their products are specifically targeted to Acne prone, Oily and sensitive skin. I love their centella cream and pimple patches!!! 😍 Promise you won't regret it!!!
With your recommandations I cleared my skin, thank you! 🤍
I am so sososososooo happy to hear this!! Congratulations on understanding, caring for, and overall embracing your skin! It’s a pleasure to have you here and I commend you on your dedication to understanding your beauty’s biology! Pleasure to have you here!!
I just bought a few things from Purito! a Centella toner, that sleeping mask and the Watercomfort sunscreen, I love the brand
I already use the iunik centella calming gel and the p:rem sunscreen and I love both!
Heimish All Clean Balm is the best thing in the world! I have problematic skin too a you help so much. Thank you!
I use one Korean skincare product and that is the Purito Centella sunscreen. I love it!! I also love your channel. High quality!!
You inspired me to start a skincare routine for the first time in.. well, over a decade, at least. Thank you! ♥
I literally beg you do a video on a Croatian brand, Skintegra. They have active ingredients, not ridiculous prices, the "infrared" product made insane incredible changes in my skin. I had acne & it literally did miracles.
Don't you just love this channel?
Yes and yes
Wow most awaited..TBH I just threw all my american skin care products for korean, bcuz it doesn't break me out and that I can use any product blindly without any worry. For sunscreen I use Missha sun milk thats holy grail I fell in love with sunscreen after using that one
Am I the only one who gets all warm, fussy and giddy when you get that TH-cam notification that Cassandra has ❤️ your comment? 🤗😍🤗😍🤗
No other TH-camr is as active, reassuring and downright amazeballs in their comment section as Cassandra is!! ❤️❤️❤️ LOVE THAT GIRL!
K skincare is so good! Light years ahead of western skincare!
YESS!! i’m so excited for this video! i love korean skin care products for years, but i never really knew what i needed
It's been several years that I came across this, though, so things may have changed/idk how accurate this is.
thank you so much for this awesome video !! you are so genuine and your content is so good !!! thank god you're here
Late at the party but I think this is one of the comprehensive k-beauty product reviews I've ever seen!
By the way, I currently use the IUnik Calming Gel at night and my oily skin is happy! Will definitely try the other products! 💛
Cassandra, there are studies showing that at around 4% Centella Asiatica can help heal wounds!
Love this video!!! Although do the products work for oily skin?
I love how you always include scientific basis to skincare products. As a science major, I loveeeeee
Tried using the Frudia toner on my face but the first ingredient is witch hazel (alcohol) and was drying. My feet love it though! 😂 The L. S. Aquatide Resurface Serum is my jam! Ordering my next 50mL bottle!
Yessss, iunik centella calming gel is my favorite!!! It feels so good to see that you approve my choices
Besides going on Accutane, Korean skincare has been a saviour in my acne journey (Korean products also helped with the overdry discomfort of the Accutane Tx)
Cosrx is my go to brand (been loving all the new products they've been releasing) and I love the Innisfree sheet masks and Missha sunscreens
Try Urang, Sioris and Aromatica for Korean vegan organic skincare
Just placed an order at stylevana and wanted you to know that I only got 10% off with your code. Thats perfectly fine, just thought you should know.
Thank you for your great videos. Learning so much every time! Best wishes from Germany. 🤗
I just recently found you and they way you break down everything is amazing and sometimes it might be much but i really appreciate it bc then i know im not putting whatever on my skin
I love you and your videos Cassandra you’ve helped me so much over the years.
Yayyy!!!! Thank you for telling that Korean beauty can be simple! Lots of youtube videos talks about only 20steps or 15steps k beauty ! But simple skincare is a trend in korea now 😁
Im here like "no no no dont put it on your hands!... put it on my face I need everything"
Loved this! I've been really wanting to try some new KBeauty skincare so this is so helpful, thank you!
This is the most informative video I've seen since TMZ posted Kylie Jenner's pregnancy rumors.
😂😂😂
You can sell me ANYTHING!! I bought ALL the items mentioned in this video! So grateful for the 15% off coz you saved me about $25-30 bucks! Thank you, Cassandra!!🙏 Been using k-products from SokoGlam and I’m really happy with them, but I’m looking forward to trying a new company! ❤️ variety- spice of life! Plus I’m addicted to facial products, especially Korean beauty!! Their R&D is amazing and they’re so thorough in their research and hence the efficacy of their products is outstanding!!
How sis you make out with rhe products? Any holy grails?
I’m ordering the avocado toner and the sleeping mask. I have extremely dry skin and ruined my lipid barrier after using a freaking crap toner. Can’t wait!
Bumped into your channel as I was researching products from The Ordinary that would best suit my skin (dry and eczema prone) and just started watching all your videos! In many you say that you'd only recommend a few eye creams, would be great if you did a video on those broken down into what each would be best for :)
So glad you've done the research on this, I'm 68 and I want to have a more glassy skin
I just bought almost everything you said in this video, since my current skincare is running low. With your advice hoping to have glowing skin soon!
The sunscreen smiley face was cute.
