    Hey Cassandra! I'm a translator in Korean, so I checked the back of the bottles, the pomegranate mist says "PET" inside the recycle sign, below it says the pump is made of some other material, and the lid is PP. The moisturizer is just the same material, but without the pump. Love your videos, love you 🥰

      @@rhonaldcastiglionemcbriard2023 If it's just the site, then you can google it, but yeah, if it's on the product itself, it can cause headache for many! But in fact, Korean language uses a phonetic writing system, so you can easily learn to read it :) Korean ingredient lists use English expressions for almost all chemical ingredients, they just write them with Korean letters. Maybe it's worth to give it a try :)

      This is the website, their claims are cruelty free, 100% vegetarian (which isn't the same thing as vegan) and toxin free. They also claim to make their products with "natural botanicals" their packaging is a rip off of Frudia but im pretty sure dot and key is a relatively new brand. Plastic is not necessarily the devil, we need to push for better recycling! Glass doesn't just disappear either.

    • @whatshisnamegain1
      @whatshisnamegain1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Also recycling glass is using up A LOT of energy which doesn't make it that eco-friendly. The best thing imo would be to re-use the same glass bottles and fill them up again, however this would is a huge logistical issue.

    • @littleblackpistol
      @littleblackpistol 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Glass is infinitely recyclable with many uses. Plastic is downcycled rather than actually recycled. It has limited number of times it can be made into something else and many types of plastic have no market uses so are not recycled much if at all. Only a couple are really used at all. Most plastic on the market is still first use, and then landfilled. Even much placed in recycling schemes is unusable, or not able to be sold on for any industrial use, so again, is landfilled straight from the recycling facility.

    • @Peanut_taco_muffin
      @Peanut_taco_muffin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely and also the carbon emissions from producing glass vs plastic is astronomically higher. Also, only clear and amber glass is recyclable everywhere. Glass tinted other colors isnt even recyclable at all in some municipalities and many formulas can’t be housed in clear glass.

    I've been using Frudia products for 2 years now and I highly recommend this brand! The products I use on a daily basis are the blueberry hydrating toner, the citrus brightening serum, and the citrus brightening moisturizer. These products really do work for me. I have combo skin and these products work wonders for my skin. I used to use Ole Hendrickson Vitamin C Gel Creme as my daytime moisturizer, but I switched to Frudia's citrus brightening moisturizer when I received a sample of it when I ordered backups of the blueberry toner, and I automatically fell in love! Kept my skin moisturized all day and never felt like my skin was dry towards the end of the day, like how Ole did. Imo K-beauty is so much much more advanced than most drugstore brands out there. And at a fraction of the price. The bigger brands really need to step up their formulations. K-beauty is becoming so big in, South Africa and I've personally seen a big improvement in my skin especially dark marks. Also their whole reason for the essence is that it hydrates your skin so that it absorbs the rwts of your serums or moisturisers better. I'm sure you can use a treatment toner and an essence. I use a few depending on the needs of my skin. They have products with BHA and AHA acids. The AHA is a chemical exfoliant and remove dead skin. So I'm sure it helps with dark marks. I am currently using the 8% AHA isntree essence. But I found I get blackheads if I don't use BHA so I use a 0.5% BHA toner from axis-y. I wouldn't suggest it because it has alcohol in it. But they do have other alternatives. And then I use Klairs Vitamin C serum with their Vitamin E Mask. Vitamin E apparently helps to let the Vitamin C absorb better and we all know Vitamin C is excellent for dark marks. I literally have amazing results within just a month

    PUHLEASE make a video explaining snail mucin being used in skin care (especially k-beauty) . while i am not vegan , i only buy cruelty free and as of recently been trying to switch my products to vegan as well . companies will say that they collect the mucin after letting snails roam freely on a mesh in the dark for 30 mins , but i’ve also read that the only way to get the type of mucin that’s used for anti aging benefits , they have to irritate the snails because they release a certain type of slime?? lol not sure what’s true but i would love to hear ur thoughts & research on this topic. these products are gaining more hype lately and i think ppl should know the story behind how it’s actually made

    • @SaffariRose
      @SaffariRose 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's both! Snail mucin is basically the slime snails produce, however some brands go the extra mile to collect the mucin that is released when the snail is irritated, frightening or in perceived danger. The secretion is mean't to repair and restore any damages the snail (or its') body might think its' subjected to which is why it's believed to be great for skincare as a moisturizing, repairative treatment. In either case, the process is generally cruel free, but what you can check for in each brand practices, is if the snails are well taken care of and allowed to reguvenate with time. Constant production/collecting of this slime can rightfully be taxing for the snail through longer periods of time.

    Dot and key founded 2018 and Fruida 2016 as said previously but also Fruida is actually 34yrs old as they renamed in 2016 from the original Kwailnara that means fruit land. Either way they might both have their own merit. Packaging is usually just something that can be purchased thru catalog or created. Both brands have nothing new in technology that I haven’t seen in other Korean brands including the extraction method it’s great but not new nor unique to this brand, the key really the stabilization, and delivery; very few lines can stabilize its too costly.

    Hi ❤️ the story of this brand reminded me of Japanese Brand´s SKII and how they made their world famous essence, SKII Facial Treatment Essence Petra. They observed the hands of people who were making dough for breads with yeast. Their hands were younger looking than their faces, hence they brought the yeast to their skin care, and developed it to make it the groundbreaking "secret ingredient" in their products. I personally used that essence and is really nice on my sensitive, dry mature skin. Have you ever come across it? I am curious about what would you say about it. Hi Cassandra, I'm writing to you from Istanbul, Turkey and to answer your question about Frudia customer profile; yes I've been using Frudia Pomegranate Toner since five months and I'm really happy about the result. To tell you more about the profile, no I'm not college skin; I'm 43, I've never had one single zit/acne in my life until 30. When I hit 30, adult acne came to my life and it was incredibly frustrating to me (no, my diet was quite good. now always super healthy but never a junk food junkie). Now everything seems fine, sometimes little blemishes on the chin area (like today for example), still very sensitive but mostly acne free. Anyway, during the pandemic I've wanted to try something new, something good but not influencer it-item. And I got it from the Korean cosmetic chain store Watsons which has more than 300 stores, here in Turkey. Well, here you have a Frudia customer profile from the other side of the pond. Cheers, take care .

In Korea from what I have researched, they purposefully be putting the Extracts first and the unknown ingredients last just for marketing strategies and it seems that it's working great.

    I live in Ukraine and one of our local drugstores recently started carrying Frudia. My skin is naturally thin with visible veins and capillaries, normal in terms of oil production but very prone to clogged pores. It also absolutely hates dimethicone and most of other silicones (even though they're not supposed to be pore clogging), so I avoid them in my skincare and makeup. I guess the're just too occlusive for me. That is why out of all of Frudia's moisturizers i picked the avocado relief. I was a bit catious of lavender oil and fragrance purely because of all this hate towards fragrance on YT. But guess what - my skin absolutely loved that cream. It moisturised my skin, calmed down my sometimes angry capillaries and reeeealy evened out the skin tone. That sunscreen though... It clogs my pores like heeeeel just in one single use ( and I`m definitely a double cleanse kind of girl). And it looks very shiny on me. I assume that's my skin hating dimethicone again but I just wanted to give it a go. I also liked those peel pads (the mitten shaped ones) because they are not too harsh on me. Now I`m on the hunt for avocado essence. For the price I think this brand is definitely worth a try (especially those cute little creams).
