Doctor Who Breaking the wall!! “There’s this emperor, and he asks the shepherd’s boy how many seconds in eternity. And the shepherd’s boy says, ‘There’s this mountain of pure diamond. It takes an hour to climb it and an hour to go around it, and every hundred years a little bird comes and sharpens its beak on the diamond mountain. And when the entire mountain is chiseled away, the first second of eternity will have passed.’ You may think that’s a hell of a long time. Personally, I think that’s a hell of a bird.”
This goodbye hits hard. 12 basically had no one beside him, only the ghosts of his companions, all of which left him due to horrible circumstances and he had no real closure with them. But the fact that he got the closest thing to a goodbye to them just before he dies just gets me all teary eyed
I just wish he got closure with Clara. He was the most important companion for 12 and he knew her the longest as 11. He went to hell for her and he messed woth time and space itself to bring her back. I just wish she could have been with him at the end to get a proper goodbye.
@@Potato98765 Yeah I wish they did that too. But it just makes the heartache all the more palpable. Who knows, though? They could bring her back again in the future
His face when he sees Clara. From his eyebrows to his eyes, and chin. Like his eyes just brightened up seeing her. I can’t get enough of this moment. So so happy they put her there. She deserved it. Both characters did.
I cried seeing that. I had that same reaction seeing someone I loved in a dream of mine. So to see his pain but also his joy upon seeing the one he loved to it made me remember that feeling I had. The people we loved. They're gone. But their memories are there and it was nice to see that his memory of her came back. But alas he accepts that she is gone as he states its a memory and I have as well. A beautiful callback indeed. Memories are important just like Bill said.

And he's come from even farther than that. Compare the last companion he truly got to see off with a hug: Martha Jones (another one of my favorites). There, he hid his face, because he was sad that he'd let her down. Not by letting her die, but by not appreciating her fully as a person. In the time since, he has learned so much, from Eleven's companions, to Missy, Danny Pink, Osgood, Bonnie, and others. Now, he invites the hug, and his face isn't one of sadness. He didn't let them down, even though they did die. They had full lives, and all appreciated each other, even through all the jokes. And he's finally able to let someone go, both Bill, Nardole, and himself, without regret.
Ok. It's been almost 2 years since this happened and I'm still deeply upset. There was part of me that hoped Peter Capaldi would be the doctor forever. He's the only doctor who I can watch and just smile like an idiot cause it makes me so happy just to see him be the doctor. Peter Capaldi will always be my doctor.
@@Mortlupo He had many moments that felt so much like 4 to me, that 4 and 12 hold the top spot in my heart. With 11 in second. I guess I really love the chaotic doctors most.

Season 8 and 9 were great but season 10 apart from the last couple of episodes was quite bad. Season 11 absolutely awful and season 12 is meh so far. Should have taken a break after season 10...
Ikrrr he just wants to rest now. i feel so sorry for the doctor. A life that long isn't worth living. Anyone can relate to the doctor and for a time lord he is soo human.
@@Berelore yeah and now it’s hell like is the doctor rivers dad and husband? or my personal theory is not regeneration but reincarnation the original doctor died and in time lord DNA he put his memory and part of his personality also they could fix the river bit by saying the original doctor came out the time vortex and he was born a time lord and the time lords used his dna to advance themselves because they didn’t have access to the time vortex at the time as to y the tardis is blue it could be the same tardis from the og doctor who had a blue tardis but that’s just a thought also jodie could’ve been good but they messed up the main plot twist by changing all canon
This scene broke my heart. Capaldi, Mackie, Murray Gold, Moffat's writing, Clara's appearance, everything... it's just a stellar end to a fantastic doctor. Here's to more moments like this one in the future of Doctor Who.
"A life like this long, it's a battlefield, and it's empty, because everyone else has fallen." That line hurt so much. Especially considering all he even had to talk to were facsimiles of friends he not only senselessly lost ... but he'll never even now what happened to them.
I always had a lot of time for Clara, what really seem to turn a lot of people against her was the degree that the show centered around her in series 8.
@@MM-hf6om I'm glad the show didn't end, because getting the old team together for the upcoming series seems so promising, now post-Chibnall, but honestly, if there's ever been a point where the show could justifiably end it'd be right here, at this moment. It would have been the perfect, bittersweet ending the show could have had.

@@Vassilinia I never realized how important the music was in Doctor Who until he left. I just took for granted that the musical template would stay the same, but OMG the music for 13 is awful. It's not even remotely like it was before. Having songs that defined people and events and then mixing them together to weave specific audio cues. It was perfect. Now it's just generic background fluff that adds nothing to the story.
Look at his hands as he says this line. One of the most underrated bits about Capaldi and 12 is his use of his hands. So precise and expressive at the same time.
techno156 he does, since he has his Clara memories, he rememberers every second of the confession dial, it gave him the memories at the end of each life, before he punches the wall
Yes, because Clara and twelve actually had an inseparable bond. They were similar to each other. Together they were "the hybrid". Clara meant much more to Twelve than Bill and Nardole would have could. Even if they were nice, they didn't have the sharp mind that Clara had. And this version of the Doctor was in need of that sharp mind.
"A life this long, you understand what it is? It's a battlefield, like this one. And it's empty, because everyone else has fallen." What a heartbreaking line, perfectly delivered by Capaldi. The Doctor has lost so much, and so many people he loved. This scene gets sadder every time I watch it again, specially with the beautifully melancholic music. I couldn't help but cry.
@@Mortlupowe don't talk about that, it never happened and it's a slap in the face to William Hartnell, he was and is the first doctor and he will forever be the first doctor. I believe that the TARDIS took the doctor into an alternative universe and in that universe the timeline where S11-13 happened and cannon can be broken since it's an alternative universe, it would explain the master being evil and forgetting Missy's story arc, it would explain why earth didn't question the security drones as daleks, it would explain the flux, it would explain a lot and then I believe the TARDIS took the 13.5th (that's what I'm calling David Tennant's 3rd regeneration as) doctor into another alternative universe which is very similar to ours however bi-generation can exist in this new universe.
it took strength for him to say that, but also love... pardon the deep stuff i'm about to say but maybe 12 gave that love to 13 when he spoke to her, gave her his blessing
This is why I read TH-cam comments. There is gold to be found if I look hard enough. Moffat, your writing has glaring drawbacks, but is also full of many beautiful things.
Notice how Clara and Bill both appear in the clothes they died in. Unfortunately, Nardole also appears here in the clothes we last saw him in, meaning, I'm afraid, it doesn't look like he lasted very long escaping from the Cybermen on the ship.
I think the Testament just chose to bring Bill and Nardole back as the Doctor remembered them. There is no way to know how long Nardole held out against the Cybermen or how long Bill/the Pilot traveled together or if Bill even chose to stay with the Pilot. Clara appeared in her outfit from Hell Bent because (other than the diner when he didn't know he was talking to Clara) that was his last memory of her too.
@@Silverwind87 Sure. But he didn't know that was her at the time. Clara as she appeared on Trap Street/Gallifrey is still more likely to where the Doctor's mind would go in this situation
timkinss have to disagree on the writing. How can she spend time with each version of the doctor but is shocked and pissed when her doctor regenerates. ?
@@paulbryden4006 tbh I'd be pissed too hahaha just imagine always seeing The Doctor go. That's just sad and painful especially for a companion who dearly and deeply cares for him that she sacrificed herself to save him.
That moment Clara's theme plays and she appears to the doctor who is beyond happy to see her back. So iconic. Four years on since twice upon a time aired and the twelfth doctors regeneration but this scene will always tug my heart.
@Stevean2 she was only terrible because Moffat ended her story early and kept her around without giving her another one. Also, once she became a full time companion, it was like Moffat gave up on her. The energy that her character had when 11 kept bumping into her in the beginning fizzled away quickly. Jenna Coleman was robbed of a wonderfully expressive character because Moffat lost interest in Clara.
@Stevean2 I partially agree. The Clara+11th story line had an interesting start with the Impossible Girl twist and all. But overall Smith & Coleman never worked for me. But with the 12th Doctor and the combination Capaldi/Coleman. That worked very well. And she earned a lot sympathy back there.

One of the things I loved about this special was how it felt like the show was questioning its own continued existence. "Do I go on, constantly changing, or do I finally bow out gracefully and let it all end?" The other thing was how moving I found Capaldi's performance, especially here at the end. This Doctor in particular lost nearly every companion. Clara met the raven, Bill was turned to a Cyberman (and remember, he has no idea that Heather came for her at the end. Bill tells him when she meets him in the Testamony ship, but he barely listens.) and Nardole presumably lived out the rest of his life on that Mondasian colony ship. You can understand why this Doctor nearly gives in to despair.
It doesn't matter how many times I watch it. I'll always cry when he gets his memories of Clara back. Just like I'll always cry when I re-watch "The Angels Take Manhattan." Every. Single. Time.
Just like I’ll nearly cry every time I rewatch Journey’s End. Some people cried at Doomsday whenever rose left, but I didn’t. I never really understood the way people felt then until I watched Journey’s End, and then again watching the Doctor Falls. It was truly an experience I’ll never forget.
I would love for her to come back sometime now that we will have actual good writing back in Who again. It wouldn't even be that hard to write into the story, just have them both be at the same place at the same time.
Pearl Mackie was incredible in this scene, so was Capaldi - but it’s so clear she isn’t having to act sad, that the tears are real. Just a phenomenal scene from a wonderful show.
I can't go through this again, losing my favourite doctor really stings. I loved 12's era, it removed the fairy tale theme and replaced it with a more realistic tone. There were consequences, things were darker and so was The Doctor, but all the grumpiness and attack eyebrows did was emphasise his kindness. He's earned his place as my Doctor.
He had me from Hey Big Sexy Woman! when calling to the trex in Deep Breath, his first episode. And solidified it when he told the clockwork guy in that very episode he was going to have to kill him. It's like at that moment, I knew 12 was going to be dark and flawed and it just drew me in. The Zygon War speech is one of the top moments for 12. As was his last speech to The Master and Missy. Just be kind.
The most painful thing to do with anyone that meant so much is letting go. Just saying good-bye hurts us because we have to leave a piece of ourselves behind with someone else and it breaks our hearts.
When Clara is back here, I teared up and there were goosebumps on my body. I love this show so much. It just makes me feel so many emotions all at once.
This is the only episode of Doctor Who where I want to watch a scene near the end, then I decide I need to watch an earlier scene and then I just end up watching the entire episode. FOR ME, this is the perfect episode of Doctor Who, I couldn’t have asked for any more, making the Doctor the villain of the episode was genius. This scene perfectly symbolises my favourite doctor’s era, his character arc and what he meant. Thank you Moffat and Capaldi for the many years of amazing Doctor Who.
I juste realise something ; so far, every Doctor last tell goodbye to their first companion : 10th go back see Rose, 11th see Amy and 12th remember Clara.
very sweet...very touching...esp. the moment with Clara :) I loved her as a companion. Not just was she visually very appealing, but her portrayal of the character of Clara was of an intelligent, curious, fierce, sometimes frightened, but always caring kind young woman. The 12th Doctor and Clara portrayed beautiful chemistry throughout their journeys.
I know Clara wasn't many fans favorite, but I really loved her and her arc. I know the writing got really messy at the end, but I still loved her as a companion all the same. Seeing this for the first time killed me.
It's weird, because I think Clara is actually a good character, but the show bungled her, and seemed to resist showcasing the kind of performance that Jenna Coleman was good at. In Series 7, she's basically introduced as "female Matt Smith" her capacity to instantly match the Doctor's energy and even skillsets are what made her stand out, but the show got scared out that characterization .... and had nothing to give her until about the time "Flatline" came out and then went back to what her story should have been like all long, which is instead of Clara being the "normal" foil for the Doctor, Clara is too much like the Doctor, and THAT'S the conflict. That was a really interesting place to take the Doctor/Companion dynamic, and I wish that had just been kept consistent in Series 7
@@HaloPrime212 I rememberer pretty consistent anti - Clara discourse in the internet circles I was in back then. I’d wager she likely the least popular modern companion.
Apart from when grace ended. The end of rosa. When ryan called Graham grandad. When the doctor saw what the master did. And she started acting like Peter.
@@Beyond-Mysteries For you maybe. Obviously, it takes a bit more to trigger me. A totally useless actor calling a badly underused actor grandad just made me roll my eyes.
@@Beyond-Mysteries Oh, that was telegraphed from the very beginning, when he wouldn't call him grandad. I'd have put my house on that eventually happening. Doctor Who has done a lot of winning, it is just Chibnall who is incapable of coming in, in any position that isn't last.
I loved this, I thought it was awful that the Doctor never knew that Bill found her friend, lives as an alien and happily travels the universe and that he never forgot Clara, all those memories came back, I hope he knows Clara lives as happily as Bill. Bless you Doctor - *1:25* and hello Nardole! :) For me, along with *A Christmas Carol* and *The Night of the Doctor* this was the best Christmas show ever!
Ryan Paton that part confuses me though. When did testimony collect her memories? Testimony is meant to collect memories before a person dies isn’t that right?
Testimony explains it in the episode, they always appear in the final moments of a person's life and collect what they need and then return them to the correct time for them to die.
I mean Capaldi did such a great job with this doctor. He portrayed anger, sadness, grief, regret and so many things. His Doctor is truly underrated because of how he was able to act like a 2000 year old god who's been to the beginning and end of the universe. Unfortunately, after him leaving, things took a turn for the worst and we never saw any more scenes like this in the later seasons and maybe never will again. So I will pretend that he chose to die and rest as a legend.
I personally think that Peters’ smile is such a great aspect of this scene, inspite of the dark path that Doctor has faced. He still manages to display a smile that’s childlike, while his eyes are those of a man in despair. The art of great cinematography is all about subtleties like these!
I keep coming back to this.. is this possibly the greatest 4 minutes of television ever produced? If you watched Doctor Who up until this point, how do you not get overwhelmed with feelings by this?
Every time I see Capaldi as the Doctor, I'm reminded of just how short-changed he got with the stories, characters, etc. His Doctor was pretty damn good.
The most impactful shot for me is the scene at 3:47 with 12 standing in that empty battlefield all alone with that section of the music playing in the background!! 😭 Murray Golds music as always plus Peters acting is just gut wrenchingly brilliant!!
I love the song they play here when the doctor sees Clara. It's the same song that has been played several times in the show when they displayed intense emotion between the two. Most people don't know this but the name of the song is actually "Clara". Whenever I hear the song I always remember each moment and how much they loved each other. For those that would say they were never in love. I agree they were not "in love". The love they developed for each other was well beyond any chemical "in love" feeling. They "loved" each other in the truest sense of the word.
Peter Capaldi you may never read this and that's okay, you don't even know me but to me, you didn't play the Doctor, you played Doctor Who. Thank you, thank you so much for everything you were to me.
I am not afraid to admit I cried during these scenes. Watching him reunite with all his lost companions and knowing these were Capaldi final moments as the Doctor. The 12th Doctor truly was and will always be my favorite Doctor.
Not for a second, I was cheering when they finally killed her off. I cried when they brought her back in the gallifrey episode. Was so glad she was gone and then we still had to go through her crap.
i am with you. Clara is my favourite. Can't understande the hate from everybody. She wan't to be like the doctor and she paid for that. But... exactly this is, what moffat want to show us. A very loney human fighting like a timelord dsn't work. It's sad and wonderfull. I love her story and i will miss her so much.
I finished watching season 10 for the first time yesterday (yea I am late, I know!). Realized how great Peter was as The Doctor. I was blown away with the emotions from the last three episodes... Bill becoming cyberman, Master betraying doctor, missy standing with the doctor (the doctor never knowing about it), doctor sacrificing himself, remembering Clara. And then .."life this long is like a battlefield. But it's empty, because everyone else has fallen" Dang the writing and acting were just off this world!!
"a life this long do you understand what it is its a battlefield like this one and its empty because everyone else has fallen" This line is just so sad.... so sad :(
@@jusfugly Your opinion is shit, she's literally the only good companion that's been on the show since it restarted. She's literally the only one that actually calls the doctor out on his constant bullshit and he can't hide it when she hits the mark about him being full of shit half the time. The fact that you want another pretty romance sub-plot companion character just proves you're a shit fan with shit taste. Season 4 was an all time high for DW.
I love all the doctors. Eleven, ten, nine. They’re all amazing and sad to see go, like I cried a few tears when 10 & 11 went. But Peter is my doctor! He will forever be THE Doctor.
What i loved so much about this episode was that there was no villain to stop. It was just a story about accepting the end and choosing to move on, and it showcases what i believe is the 12th doctor's strongest attribute, the pain he bares from all of his past lives and how he carries himself
In the novelization, upon regaining his memories of Clara, the Doctor believed that she had faced her raven in the end, but doubtless in a surprising way and with style. He also thought that Clara might have defeated that raven and eventually found an entirely different one that ultimately claimed her. The Doctor noted that Clara was "smirking as if she had, anyway."
The 10th and the 12th doctor are quite similar. They both refused to regenerate and end up dying alone (the last thing they both see is creatures; 10th saw the Ood and 12th saw Avator versions of Bill and Nadole.) It's also snowing when they both regenerate. When it came to regeneration the 9th doctor was optimistic about it and the 11th doctor gave straight into it, but the 10th and the 12th tried everything in their power to prevent it. The 12th doctor is basically learning from the mistakes of his past self. There are also subtle bits where they use the 10th Doctors theme with the 12th. Everything is interconnected. That's the beauty of Doctor Who.
@@Valkebab I can't believe it... God bless you kind stranger. I've been wondering the name of that specific song for 6 years and now I can finally listen to it without the dialogue🙏 Thank you🫡
I am so so happy (being a Clara fan) that 12 got his memories back of her and the look on his face when he sees her it makes my cry every single time. also I felt it moving that mark gateis was in this Christmas episode, sort of his way of saying goodbye.

Deep Breath - "I don't think I'm a hugging person now"
Twice Upon A Time - 3:27
Oh Twelve, how far you've come...
"I don't think you've got a vote"
He's dying cut him some slack
He reminded mt of the classic era of Dr. Who.
I feel you so much...he is just wonderful
for me, the 10 and 12th doctor are fighting for the first place in ranking... both of them are just GOLD

The Doctor is so very tired.
Ikrrr he just wants to rest now. i feel so sorry for the doctor. A life that long isn't worth living. Anyone can relate to the doctor and for a time lord he is soo human.

This scene broke my heart. Capaldi, Mackie, Murray Gold, Moffat's writing, Clara's appearance, everything... it's just a stellar end to a fantastic doctor. Here's to more moments like this one in the future of Doctor Who.
Great moment, I just wish he had done it some other way. Steven, Go big or write myself into a corner and write bigger, Moffat!

The Gunslinger me too. For me Clara's tale only start with Capaldi's years.
I'm the same but I liked her with Matt Smith😢
I always had a lot of time for Clara, what really seem to turn a lot of people against her was the degree that the show centered around her in series 8.
azapro911 a lot of people whinging on the internet, so a few loud people
The Gunslinger Never fear, the internet is full of a few whiners who are just very loud. Millions more watched every episode of hers.
Peter Capaldis version of the Doctor is very much overlooked and such a great doctor. This scene never fails to make me cry
He feels like the final doctor to me.

The fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover, when God delivered the firstborn of Israel from death. Some 430 years earlier, on the night of the 14th day of the first month, God made two covenant promises to Abraham - one of the physical seed, Isaac, and his descendants, and one of the spiritual seed, Jesus Christ, and the sons of God who would come through Him, who would shine like the stars of heaven (Matthew 13:43). On the day portion of the 14th, God confirmed the promises with a special covenant sacrifice.
"After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, 'Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.' But Abram said, 'Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?' . . .
"And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 'This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.' Then He brought him outside and said, 'Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.' And He said to him, 'So shall your descendants be'" (Genesis 15:1 - 2, 4 - 5, NKJV).
Losing Murray Gold is probably the biggest loss of new Who.
@@Vassilinia I never realized how important the music was in Doctor Who until he left. I just took for granted that the musical template would stay the same, but OMG the music for 13 is awful.
@@Schelby.Lo1 Yes, Despite their rocky start The Doctor and Clara's bond was one of the closest between a Doctor and companion.

"It's a battlefield, like this one... and it's empty. Because everyone else... has fallen."

Can’t I ever peace? Can’t I rest? That to me was the saddest line of the clip.
"A life this long, you understand what it is? It's a battlefield, like this one. And it's empty, because everyone else has fallen."
What a heartbreaking line, perfectly delivered by Capaldi. The Doctor has lost so much, and so many people he loved. This scene gets sadder every time I watch it again, specially with the beautifully melancholic music. I couldn't help but cry.
It's even more so when you factor in the Timeless Child and forgotten Doctors years too.

I believe the novelization says he lasted quite some time.
You say Nardole died saving people from the Cybermen. I say he just never changes his clothes very often. ;)
@@TheJadedJames technically the Doctor's last memory of Clara was of her in the waitress uniform.

As soon as I heard the first note of Clara’s theme, I lost it. Tears.

Omg me too :(
@Stevean2 obvious troll is obvious.
Peter had some amazing companions. I will miss them all sorely.
they were the shittest in the show

One of the things I loved about this special was how it felt like the show was questioning its own continued existence. "Do I go on, constantly changing, or do I finally bow out gracefully and let it all end?"
The other thing was how moving I found Capaldi's performance, especially here at the end.
Also Doctor thinks he lost Missy.
"Thank you both, for everything you were to me". Could be a nod to the original doctor who and then the revive from 2005
It doesn't matter how many times I watch it. I'll always cry when he gets his memories of Clara back. Just like I'll always cry when I re-watch "The Angels Take Manhattan." Every. Single. Time.
Same.
We only got her for one season, but I really, really liked Bill's character.
I really liked Bill’s character too. Would have been great to have her and Capaldi for one more season
I would love for her to come back sometime now that we will have actual good writing back in Who again. It wouldn't even be that hard to write into the story, just have them both be at the same place at the same time.
Bill and twelve had nearly no connection. It was good that they add Nardole to the team.
I thought bill was ace tbh
I never really liked bill but after rewatching she was actually really good
Pearl Mackie was incredible in this scene, so was Capaldi - but it’s so clear she isn’t having to act sad, that the tears are real. Just a phenomenal scene from a wonderful show.

Miss the 12th Doctor and Clara. Didnt want him to go and I will remember when the Doctor was Peter Capaldi.
He's earned his place as my Doctor.
lmao Attack eyebrows always gets me 🤣🤣🤣
He had me from Hey Big Sexy Woman! when calling to the trex in Deep Breath, his first episode.
Just saying good-bye hurts us because we have to leave a piece of ourselves behind with someone else and it breaks our hearts.
i think 12 has had the most character development of any doctor and this scene shows it!
I love 12's character development.
"I don't think I'm a hugging person now..."

This is the only episode of Doctor Who where I want to watch a scene near the end, then I decide I need to watch an earlier scene and then I just end up watching the entire episode. very sweet...very touching...esp. the moment with Clara :) I loved her as a companion. Not just was she visually very appealing, but her portrayal of the character of Clara was of an intelligent, curious, fierce, sometimes frightened, but always caring kind young woman. The 12th Doctor and Clara portrayed beautiful chemistry throughout their journeys.
The gift was his memories of Clara.
Woah where did the Clara wasn’t a lot of fans favorite come from?? I loved her character a lot and when they “killed her off” I cried

You're so right. When Graham and Ryan left, it was so unemotional and boring.

For me, along with *A Christmas Carol* and *The Night of the Doctor* this was the best Christmas show ever!
But the Doctor does know that Bill found her friend, since when he first sees her again she explains how she is there and mentions Heather.
Nicholas Dickens -Lover- “Friend”
Ryan Paton that part confuses me though. When did testimony collect her memories? Testimony is meant to collect memories before a person dies isn’t that right?
To be fair, testimony does seem to make mistakes, like the captain survived even though testimony had come to collect his memories
That's my version of the story as well. I genuinely enjoyed his run as the Doctor, even if the scripts weren't always perfect.
the new director of doctor who is also sucks, and all the good characters are gone
I loved Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, and was fascinated by how Jodie Whittaker managed to copy his mannerisms so well.
Such an underrated doctor. I’m glad people are starting to realise how good he was
I personally think that Peters’ smile is such a great aspect of this scene, inspite of the dark path that Doctor has faced.
Capaldi's group hug farewell was more emotional to me than previous Doctor farewells. Best Doctor of nu Who, one of the best full stop.
Someone hide this video from Torchwood Boy. I don't want him to break again!

Liam Catterson I didn't get it 😅😅.
senegal 98 me too
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
He is my favorite Doctor, strong wise compassionate and above all KIND ♥️
He was my favorite Dr. ❤
It's moments like these that make me think how can people hate Capaldi or Doctor who? It's so wholesome and warm and beautiful. Fantastic.
General Guanaco exactly
To be fair, he had a tough act to follow.
@@FIRSTNAMELASTNAME-zt4kf Well that's crazy because every actor after Capaldi has a tough act to follow.
Clara, my Clara.
Heart wrenching stuff, why they gotta bring Clara back it just made me cry more😭
1:11 Don't know about you guys but to me, 12 has the best smile.
The Twelfth Doctor is, in my opinion, the best doctor and it's moments like this that make him great
I am not afraid to admit I cried during these scenes. Watching him reunite with all his lost companions and knowing these were Capaldi final moments as the Doctor. The 12th Doctor truly was and will always be my favorite Doctor.
impossible girl...miss you so much
Любовь Сатанина no
Not for a second, I was cheering when they finally killed her off.
Raxaco[Rico]fallapatorius for me she is best companion..forever...it's only my opinion..but it's true
Любовь Сатанина she was the best :) I love everything about her :3
I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying!
We are all crying
Where there's tears there's hope.
I'm crying, 'cause I've been cutting onions. I'm making a lasagna.
Really do you have to reference bobs burgers
Smith and capaldi are my two favourite doctors, I grew up with Matt so mainly him but man capaldi smashed it
I finished watching season 10 for the first time yesterday (yea I am late, I know!).
*revisits this scene after a few years* Aaand I am bawling all over again.
Doctor's face looked really happy when he saw Clara's face♥:)
I think in some ways she was 12's Amelia
"a life this long do you understand what it is its a battlefield like this one and its empty because everyone else has fallen" This line is just so sad.... so sad :(
i love doctor who so much!!!!!!!
Omnious I love this doctor so much
If you don't why are you here?
He was the best doctor
We all do
LET DONNA NOBLE GET HER MEMORIES BACK TOO CRIES
I'd like to think the doctor could visit her on her death bed in her future an restore her memories before she passes.
Couldn't stand her. She was so annoying. Nearly as bad as Bill
@@jusfugly You should see the skit Katherine and David do.
@@Tekkarath My opinion may or may not be shit.
But she's extremely annoying and generally, cannot act very well.
Omg his smile when he sees clara 😭😭😭 i misss all of u characters including nardole. Espically Capaldi i love uuu.
"It's a big universe out there, but I hope I see you again..."
I wished Capaldi didn't go. He was the best Doctor of the modern era.
Sincerity, Depth, Friendship, Loyalty.
Where there's tears there's hope.
I love all the doctors. Eleven, ten, nine. They’re all amazing and sad to see go, like I cried a few tears when 10 & 11 went. But Peter is my doctor! He will forever be THE Doctor.
I hope they bring back Rachel Talalay to direct again, she's one of the finest directors I've seen in Who history !
Her season finales during Capaldi's run were some of the best.
What i loved so much about this episode was that there was no villain to stop. It was just a story about accepting the end and choosing to move on, and it showcases what i believe is the 12th doctor's strongest attribute, the pain he bares from all of his past lives and how he carries himself
“I don’t think I’m the kind of person who hugs”
“I don’t think you get a vote.”
Thank you, Peter. I mean, thank you, Doctor.
"All of my memories are back"
Moffat knew Chibs was planning something awful ☹️
That's the beauty of Doctor Who.
yeah but the 11th doctor had to save face in front of Clara.
10 and 12 were alone
I miss 12- the fluffy hair, the holey jumper, the eyebrows... as much as jodie is doing her best- I wish bill and 12 had more seasons together❤❤
Twelve started his incarnation knowing Clara then, suddenly forgetting her. He ended his incarnation not knowing Clara, then suddenly remembering her.
Y’all: OMG CLARAS BACK
Me: OMG NARDOLE’S BACK
Mate
Nardole's a fittie
The piano line that comes in at 1:58 just breaks my hearts. So simple yet powerful
Really wish someone knew the name of it
@@plumber2145 Its called "Where Theres Tears Theres Hope"
@@Valkebab I can't believe it... God bless you kind stranger. I've been wondering the name of that specific song for 6 years and now I can finally listen to it without the dialogue🙏 Thank you🫡
@@plumber2145 🤝
I am so so happy (being a Clara fan) that 12 got his memories back of her and the look on his face when he sees her it makes my cry every single time.
also I felt it moving that mark gateis was in this Christmas episode, sort of his way of saying goodbye.
