Thanks for the vid. I'm used to a single sided swing arm - how do you align the chain, there doesn't seem to be any markings on the swing arm. Many thanks.
Thanks for the walk through! I went down a tooth on my 2015 in the front and it's exactly how I want it now (it rides more like your 2018 now). Also if you haven't found the service manual yet I can message it to you on facebook or twitter. I have it saved in google drive, you can download the pdf and save it. All the torque specs and everything.
Cool video mate! It’s hard for me to work on a bike without any "official"specs or a maintenance book! Well done guys Have a great week and enjoy the bike life 🙌
I got the 125 gsxs, dream of the 750 lol, my mechanic says im in need of new sprockets but the teeth look good to me, and says i need to change my riding style... dont know what to change to have less wear on sprockets as long as chain is adjusted fine. I sense a rip off but am at his mercy due to work need to be done there to keep my warranty valid. What you think? edit: im at the 10k mile mark
Any time you change the chain you should probably change the sprockets. A worn chain can cause a new chain to not last as long. Maybe to many wheelies ;)
The tire lift accessory that you used on your rear tire stand is that an extra accessory you had to buy or did it come with that stand and what brand was it?
Nice video bro quick question your front sprocket logo did its face outside or inside, because I buy a driven kits alot of video people said logo should face outside help me understand this
Stock sprocket size and chain length so no need to do that. I'm sure it's not perfect but I don't know many people who mess with the speed after every chain change or adjustment. Maybe a few mph off but no where near 15 or 20 mph.
Hey Frank! I get where you are coming from. Start off small... Plan your work, gather all the right tools and parts, and just take your time. The good thing is that when planning, chances are you'll find info on "unknown" problems you might encounter and solutions. Tech pubs won't tell you all those "OH shit" issues. That's where the BikeFam community comes in. I still get nervous too. Especially when things aren't going right. You'll be surprised how much money you'll save and confidence you'll have, knowing your bike is maintained correctly. You might offset those savings with having to buy more tools, but who can really complain about more tools? LOL CHEERS ~KSIX
KSIX I would enjoy knowing how to do more. I get where u are coming from ,The last time I had my bike into the shop for a full Maintainance they soaked me 1800.00 for routine stuff.
I got a gsx-s1000 and it’s a nightmare trying to find anything I love the bike but it’s a absolute nightmare all you find is gsx-r parts or videos or accessories

Any chance I could get your file too?
Any chance I can get a copy of that manual? I have a 2019.
you have an instagram handle or something I can use to contact you? I'll upload it to mega but youtube hates hyperlinks
can I switch my front sprocket (17) for one less (16) without changing chain? Just swaping and go?
I am pretty sure that you can. I have been debating on doing something similar as well.
Yes, you can. Check out the GearingCommander website for all of that type of info you could want.

It was extra, I believe about $80. Its all made by pitbull stands. Well worth it!
@@GHOSTNINJASD Thanks Bro, awesome Vid!
@@willgreen2995 Thanks! glad you enjoyed it.
What socket size did you use for the counter shaft nut and rear axle nut? 32 or 36?
I'll have to get that for you. I dont remeber off the top of my head.
GhostNinja i got it now, its a 32

Nice video bro quick question your front sprocket logo did its face outside or inside, because I buy a driven kits alot of video people said logo should face outside help me understand this
Yeah logo should be facing out towards you when you install it.
Thanks I may have do it over I was looking at some video where it was facing inside wow thanks again man
so now when youre doing 45mph your speedometer says 60 mph?? did you correct the speedometer??

Ur a lot braver than I am. I change the oil on my GSXR that’s about it. I am not mechanical at all.

Yeah, KSIX advise is solid man. I'm right there with you. I'm no mechanic, but these dealers are killing me Haha
Where’d you get crash cage?
It's an impaktech cage. If you plan on getting one they are the best.
