In my experience the church puts fear in you… either believe even if you don’t understand or go to hell

I have never seen such a defense of monotheism before from anyone other than a Muslim. This was great. I obviously knew Jews believe in the One true God, but I never heard someone Jewish so passionately preach against idolatry and the trinity. I would love to show my Christian family members your lectures. They think Islam is something weird, and I’ve always told them it’s closer to Judaism than they are, even though they say Jesus was a Jew, and they also read the Old Testament. Their beliefs never made sense to me. It was me losing faith in the trinity that made me leave Christianity.

So if you satisfy that requirement the only obstacle between you and paradise is Gods mercy, who He can give to anyone that satisies that pre-condition. Someone can be a strict monotheist and have never heard of the Quran that doesnt mean they go to hell

It’s hard to find a Jewish scholar that can explain the OT from a Jewish perspective. Christians tend to manipulate the OT to fit their narrative. The fabrication of Trinity
The only verse indicating trinity (the Father, the Son and the Holy
Ghost are one) has been removed from the bible by 32 scholars of the
bible in the Revised Standard Version among many other verses as
fabrication after they realized that these verses do not exist in the
most ancient manuscript and as such there is not a single verse
indicating Trinity anymore in the complete bible.
John A-V {5:7} For there are three that bear record in heaven, the
Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (This
verse does not exist anymore in the RSV)
@@PEH5806 Yeah if I'm correct in the earliest Greek Manuscripts, that verse in John just says, "For there are three that bear record in heaven" and that's it. The next part of it, (Father, son, and holy ghost) was added later by the Catholics to support the Trinity doctrine. I may be wrong though.

Spot on!. Husband and I came out of Christian church over four years ago. Rejected xmas and easter. Piece by piece we have been letting Christian thinking go. We are no longer Trinitarians. Praise Yah. I have recently been enlightened by the Father's grace that the NT is supremely corrupted and false. It is life altering.
Pray for us in dispersion. We are awakening. Letting go of the false Messiah is very hard for those indoctrinated since birth. My husband is not yet there. Pray for us that we may be in unity again. Shalom.

The big mistake is to accept blindly a dogma that the giant priests themselves are not convinced about it and the clarity of texts in the bible, but asking ignorants to hold to these un-understandable man created complex concepts that no genius christian could give clear answer to convince them . How would you know about G-d if it werent for Jesus? do you even know what messiah means ? Do you even understand what Jesus said when he said he was the door to the Father? I often chuckle along as you explore the belief systems in Christianity, even those in which I was raised and where I presently attend. However I always challenge the message and its scripture address and if its in the NT is it grounded in the OT. I love your candor, Don't read it, don't...lol. I look forward to listening to more as you also question the accuracy of what's preached. I don't just accept what is preached by mainstream fundamentalist so I usually end up seeking to disprove their twisting and perverting the scriptures. To Tovia’s question around 12:00 in, growing up Lutheran, deep down I had a problem with the trinity. The way Jesus talked and the things he said, gave me a conflicting thoughts. I viewed him more like a chosen person that was his son. At that time. He mentioned many times that he couldn’t do anything without the father and even his words are from the father, yet was taught he was the word. Couldn’t be. That’s what started my fall from the church. I could feel there was something wrong but took another 25 yrs, and your videos to put 2 & 2 together and say ah ha there it is why was I so blind it was so simple.
Its God we worship, Yeshua was simply the messenger. You must understand the "Message" of Universal Empathy. Only then can you understand God & what he wants for us (humanity).
B.E.S You May have that view, but nearly 99% of Christians will view Jesus as god in the flesh. They constantly call it a mystery that is true and you have to believe it. All churches will worship Jesus above all. Everything revolves around Jesus. Catholics tack on Mary and the saints as people so high that you can pray to them like you can god. I was reading the OT in a catholic bible and the more I read, the more it contradicted what I was reading. One day, I look up from my seat in church, and felt like I couldn’t do it anymore until I find answers. I prayed and the next day videos of tovia and many more rabbi started showing up on my recommended TH-cam. Would never show up because I never watched anything Jewish, yet they where showing up. I watched, I was enraged, I didn’t want to watch anymore. I by Jewish Bible, contrast it to the NT, I try everything to debunk all these rabbi, I couldn’t, not even once. I’m now learning under a local rabbi.

His is the only power; undiluted, solitary, and uncompromised. From His perspective, nothing is bad, because everything He does is just and done with love. He sees the prequel and the end and knows that the middle fits perfectly. We cannot do this, and we are not expected to. We experience bitterness, pain and suffering and perceive evil. That is the temporary human condition in which we must operate. Until then, we mourn tragedies and fight injustice AND also express our confidence in His love for us and our trust in His absolute goodness. People who choose to do evil will be punished for choosing to play a negative role rather than a positive one, but ultimately everything that happens works towards His will. We have free will is to choose our priorities and how we respond to our experiences . Do we choose to seek transcendent truth or do we allow ourselves to be blinded by human hubris?

G-d is complete and experiences pain and struggle through us. When we are in pain, it is He who is in pain. We ask G-d to heal us, both physically and spiritually, for His sake. We ask Him to send the true Messiah who will lead the world to serve only Him, for His sake. This has not yet happened. We are here for Him. We are not here to earn brownie points and get to heaven while others roast for eternity. Loving the humanity in others is loving Him.

The first church I went to in my search was catholic, and even the priest said when I asked about the trinity "don't try and figure it out!"
Religions have gone astray.
Jesus explained the two most important rules to live by which are both about love and both are one. Yet people divide up and fight over the lesser rules, breaking the first most highest Ones in the process. Jesus Continued, in the very next verse, to explain The Foundation, which these are.
Jesus turned upside down the churches and your ego both - *you* now have The Relationship or you have death. One of these two things await you and it will be *your* choice.
Jesus did not need to do the Most High thing which Jesus, The Messiah, did. Jesus Christ, without sin, and with a Perfect Relationship with The Creator, decided to do that, Jesus decided, out of Love, by Way of Love for us, and entirely because of Love: Jesus decided to provide for us a Perfect and Assured Path to Salvation for our Souls.
People need to drop their pride and humble themselves before God. God will help those humans who seek The Creator. Jesus will help any human who asks for help, Jesus will help, help for Repentance, help for The Relationship, help for Eternity.
How do you know what is going to happen to you in the future if you don't have The Relationship? People sit around and try to interpret meanings with their own finite and limited minds. Yet, they ignore the fact that they can learn from God. God can be your Guide. God is the Best Teacher.
If you want to Truly participate in the planning and preparations for your future, both here and especially beyond, then that can only be done through The Relationship.
The Relationship is very detailed, it is more real than the reality of this world. It is 1000 times more real. The Relationship is specific, detailed Conversations with God. It is impossible to just think you have The Relationship - having The Relationship is not something you think about and interpret , you instantly Know it and instantly become an attentive, quiet, respectful student in The Presence of God. The Created instantly and absolutely Knows The Creator. Jesus Christ is The Way. You can ask questions in the presence of God. The Relationship is the ultimate "student - Teacher" Relationship, but you are a complex being and God wants to hear your questions and wants to know your feelings. Although God Knows you even better than you know yourself and God knows what is in your heart and what you truly mean, God still wants you to express yourself. God will sometimes answer you before your question can even be formulated into words in your mind. God will sometimes wait for you to formulate your ideas into words prior to Answering. God will sometimes inject entire ideas into your mind, at which point you will begin to interpret and formulate the idea into words in your mind, often a paragraph of words or more - God will then Correct you by Conveying more Knowledge, if you make a mistake with your interpretations or if more meaning is required for you.
God does all this out of both love and patience for you. God will give you choices as well and this, these further allow you to Participate in the planning and preparations for your future. I have capitalized the word "Participate" because it is a ONE-to-one activity. When you were Created by God, you had a Relationship with God. This world is a place where a major human goal for all is to re-establish and solidify The Relationship. The Infinite God wants Individual Relationships with each human soul. God can help you Repent and start this process toward full human glory for you. God is The Best Guide.

So, as a Christian we are 'TAUGHT' that the God of Israel and Jesus were "the same." (See John 17 prayer in New Testament). FOR YEARS........I PRAYED TO JESUS BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE FATHER'S NAME WAS. Jesus said, "He came in His Father's name," SO I THOUGHT THE FATHER'S NAME WAS JESUS!!! HOW ABOUT THAT??? And, yet it was the JEWISH RABBIS WHO COVERED UP YAHUAH'S NAME.......AND WHY??? WHO KNOWS??? Cognitive disconnect is what I think it is called. Yes we are told we are not saved if we cannot believe what we do not comprehend nor see in scripture. Son of man is the favorite title Yeshua used to describe himself. I loved finding your video on "what would you want God to tell you?" if the Trinity were not true. That is already where I was with my friends, and I picked up some more verses from your videos. May God make his truth known.
I was raised Southern Baptist, in Texas. I never could wrap my mind around the Trinity. Even as a small child. How can you be your own father? This was always my thought. And I never got a satisfactory answer on what the Holy Spirit is.
As for Christians believing in the Trinity. This is anecdotal but my best friend was raised Catholic and now attends a Methodist church. She told me that if you don’t believe in the Trinity you aren’t Christian. My response was, well I was never Christian then. 🤷🏻♀️ Which is fine by me.
Your question “how can you be your own father?” shows you do not understand the doctrine of the Trinity. All three persons of the Trinity are one God, but distinct from each other. The Father is not the Son or the Holy Spirit, the Son is not the Father or the HS, etc. The Trinity is three distinct persons in one being which is God. At Jesus’ baptism, the Father spoke from heaven and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in the form of a dove. This perfectly illustrates there are three distinct persons. It’s hard to understand, and I’m not claiming I comprehend it, but I’m just offering you a slight clarification. Hope it’s clear as mud 😅
See John 20:17 Jesus makes reference to having a God. How can God have a God? Jesus was clearly acknowledging his status as a creation, as a Messenger, as the Christ (which by the way means anointed and has nothing to do with divinity)

The question I actually ask since childhood: Why am I taught that Jesus is God, to worship Jesus, when Jesus himself says he comes to glorify the Father? That Jesus came to bring me back to the Father. Confusing doctrine of Trinity.

The Word is Jesus ,who lives in the bossom of the Father John1:18 ,So Jesus is the Living Word of God.
The place or position of Jesus does not change ..."HE IS IN THE BOSSOM OF THE FATHER" that's the reason Jesus said the Father is greater than the Son ,
The Father according to 1Corinthians15:27 (better to read verse 23 to 28) The FATHER GIVE ALL the Authority and power to Jesus feet , EXCEPT HIMSELF( the Father), untill Jesus will defeat the last enemy which is DEATH ,and deliver the Kingdom To God. then Jesus himself be subjected to the Father.
The power and glory that the Father give to the SON IS HIS SPIRIT.
THATS THE REASON THE SPIRIT OF GOD REST UPON JESUS. according to
Isaiah 11:1 and 2 (prophecied)...and MATTHEW 3:16..(fulfilled) ...So the LORD OF THE SPIRIT IS JESUS... and JESUS origin is the WORD WHO LIVES INside THE BOSSOM OF THE FATHER that is his place... Colossians 2:9 and 10 ...THATS THE REASON it says here in Colossians that all the fullness of the GOD HEAD DWELL INSIDE THE BODY OF THE FATHER... 🤪 ....

If u have any sense in you you would believe that there is only 1 God so if jesus came out of the 1 God how can he be God how does him coming out of the 'bossom' of The already existing God make him God. It all comes down to a question: Do you want God to save you, or do you want to serve God? If you just want to be saved, that's just called being smart. But if you want to serve God, then seek for the truth and don't let your fear of going to hell get in the way.
As you get closer to God, it becomes very clear to you that your love for your Creator is real and very powerful. This naturally leads to wanting to serve God's Will using your own Free Will. You don't need to want to serve God first prior to wanting to Know God. You can want to Know God for your Salvation first and then as God gets closer to a permanent Relationship with you, it becomes impossible not to want to serve God. It is simply another natural progression for the human soul. The Creator and the Created.
To answer the question you present at 11:40, the Father always reigned supreme in my prayers. When I prayed, I prayed to Him. It was like it was not possible in my mind to make sense of the Trinity when it came to the actual experience of prayer. I could accept the Trinity as a statement of faith, but in my actual experience, I did not find it possible to pray to a Triune God. The problem is that Christians are taught things about the Jewish faith that makes them not even consider it when things about Christianity do not make sense. It is like a big veil of lies is placed over the Jewish faith so that Christians never explore it and find out the truth and the answers to their questions. You have helped me so much to see things clearly.
Hey Rabbi Tovia as an atheist I admire your commitment to not give personal commentary, but rather to say "forget what I say" and you determinedly consult whatever has direct relevance to the matter, and you go to what you can argue has the greatest weight in terms of your understanding of moral law. Simple fair criteria "what is the literal wording," what did that commonly mean at that time (It was written) what is the prominence of the text, any repetition which adds emphasis, duration of continuous importance of a text, retelling, etc trying to do the best straight reading you can do applying direct rationality with a loving heart to guide the reading.

@Tovia Singer, I come from an interfaith family and I've been looking into all different types of regions, my mother is orthodox Christian and my dad is Jewish and my mother always made me accept and love my Jewish roots. My neighbor who was Catholic took me to church a lot my mom even as a Christian Orthodox struggles with the concept of Jesus. My mom and dad thankfully as agnostics always told me to think before I read, my boyfriend is Jewish and we discuss religions all the time. I ordered let's get biblical and a few other books because I"m always studying religions. I enjoy watching you and finding certain things you say are interesting.

I was born a Catholic and I always struggled with the Trinity . It made no sense even at the age of 5 . The Nicene creed especially bothered me. It seemed to me that it was putting forward the doctrine of men and not of God. I drifted and eventually become a Muslim but with a special love of Jesus .Thank you so much Rabbi for helping me to understand the scripture .Now I can see why I never believed in the Trinity

Belief in the trinity is one of the important reasons why Christianity is more appropriately characterized as Christi-insanity. And the kicker is that an appreciable amount of Christians silently wonder to themselves and question to themselves the un-commonsense aspect of the trinity but end up in fear of eternal damnation and start to believe that it is better to just go along just in case. They have been hearing the lie for so long and seeing all the other people accepting the lie so they enter into a kind of hedge their bets kind of mindset. Besides, if this person, Jesus, can really save me so that I'll never die just enter into another state of being where all this adversity I experience in this life will cease and desist for eternity/ Yeah, okay, sign me up! The impossibility of the trinity becomes very small.

I agree with you I am newly reverted to Islam. I think H2O explains ones belief in the Trinity being a former Christian. My issue is not that much more. What scares me is the praying to more than ONE if all 3 are ONE seems like double talk. So if it is the same ONE of Abraham Isaac and Jacob then it just creates confusion.
I think you touched on the essence of what bothers all xtians, the difference is that those who end up converting to Judaism and those who become noachides is that they are completely honest with this sentiment and seek answers, whereas those who remain xtians ignores what bothers them and become apologetic.

I currently am not a member of really any religion. I’d say I’d be more Unitarian if anything. However, I love the way Rabbi explains Bible verses. I always had such an dislike of biblical scriptures because of the way they seemed so sexist. These explanations make so much more sense to me☺️
