@Iyas kelu I’m not sure what he has said about Islam, but if we step back and take a look at creed we can see that Islam is an authentic monotheistic religion.
The revelation given to us in the Quran is an undeniable proof of Muhammad’s prophethood. Even if we set the content aside, the literary genius of the text is unquestionable.
How did an unlettered man produce such a text? A text without contradiction and preserved perfectly as God claims He will.
So I think Islam is safe ground to stand.
Judaism is good with creed, but there are some corruptions: for example, a Jew shouldn’t engage in riba activities (usury/interest etc) with anyone, but the texts now claim it is only to other Jews.
I think if we step back and assess that the objectively and honestly, it doesn’t seem very divine for God to command not to exploit each other but do what you like on everyone else.
So I think it is bad to suggest a Muslim should convert to Judaism.
Further, to ask a Muslim to convert to Judaism is asking them to deny revelation and commands from God, and is tantamount to disbelieving.
All that being said, I have much love for my Jewish brethren and their scholarship over their scriptures. It really helps in decompiling all the Christian nonsense that’s piled up.

When he says treat others as you would like others to treat you, he is quoting another rabbi. The Jesus hating the pharisees and the pharisees hating Jesus material was added later to the Bible when the first christians entered into conflict with the Jews over circumcision, diet, law. But this was a result of Paul's transformation of Jesus's message. Jesus himself would have been horrified by this since he was totally, totally Jewish.

As a child, my mother took me to Catholic Church, and I always wondered why she prayed to statues!
Just as it helps to remember your mother by looking at her photographs, so it helps to recall the example of the saints by looking at pictures of them.
Statues can also be used for teaching purposes, in the early church they were especially useful for the instruction of the illiterate.
Catholics do not venerate statues.
They pray not to statutes but to the person whom the statutes represent, they pray through them, but ultimately to God.
Even though saints have died physically they alive in heaven.

We are taught to honor those who honor God.
Notice at the Vatican in Rome over St.Peter's Basilca there are at 100 statues of saints overlooking St.Peter's Square these are holy men who excelled at their faith.

It never, ever sat right with me and I actually got to the stage where I hated the name Jesus. I could never relate to the cross. So many of Paul's writings are like Plato's. The truth sets you free indeed but it's devastating as well when you have left your homeland and friends to follow this so-called Christ.

@@michaelwinn5274 I have a number of problems with the religious outlook you speak of. First, nothing in Torah ever came out and directly stated that G-d would come to the Jews as a man. If this is so important than this would have been directly stated and not hidden in text.
Also, the need for Virgin birth. The resulting theology of Trinity. Original sin.
Just the above for a start are all not acceptable in Judaism but are possible in any number of religions that popular in the pagan world during the time when Christianity originated.
And for Paul to even suggest the abandonment of the commandments in the Torah, like circumcision, is a total possibility. Certainly Jesus would have given up his life to defend circumcision.
There are too many issues here for Christianity to be considered by Jews to be legitimate from the perspective of Judaism. By pagans wanting to get closer to monotheism, yes. But for Jews who were already the people of the G-d of Israel for over a thousand years, no way. Its not a true religion that is derived from Judaism. Its another religion from other sources that are not from the G-d of Israel.

There was a time, for most of Christian history that if Jews spoke in this way, in a way of truth, they and their families would be killed. Hopefully this has changed a bit, and we can legitimately exchange views on this subject.
But this is another problem with Christianity and Christians. The incredible history of war and violence in the name of Jesus and by most Christian societies throughout history. Everything about Christian history contradicts the values expressed in Chistian scriptures. And that just shows something is very very wrong.

There’s no place in Torah that even implies that the Messiah was suppose to die.
Why would there be? The Torah was the law, not the prophets. According to the prophet Daniel the Mashiyach (Messiah) would be killed 487 years after Cyrus gave the commandment to restore Israel. And then the prophecy goes on to say that the city and sanctuary would be destroyed and we know that happened in 70AD. What are we to do with these old testament prophecies?

The gospels were originally written in Greek. Does that suggest something about the original authors?
@@fredgillespie5855 That is incorrect. Jews in ancient times until now have always read their Torah in Original Hebrew. When the Torah was translated to Greek, the heavens darkened for 3 days meaning a disapproval for the translation.Til Today, Jews mourn for that translation on the 10th of Tevet.

I understand what you’re saying ....the thing is those 40 years from when Jesus was crucified until the Mark gospel was written were jam packed with events for Jerusalem and Israel/Palestine. One could think chicken and egg but also as you say, there’s Q ....when would that have been written, perhaps closer to a Jesus time and what may have been before that.
I find actually trying to understand events in that century fascinating, to really try (though surely fail) to put ourselves in their position. Huge upheavals. I'm of the opinion that the original Jewish followers of Jesus did out and they were hijacked by non Jews who venerated his memory, but had no knowledge of judaism.

Vespasian destroyed the Druids and was going to do it to the Jews.

There is a book I have where it says that a ealrly church father said Christianity was a Virgin until the time when the disciples died then the evil came in. I am paraphrasing here. It is historically highly improbable that Moses ever existed, just like it is improbable that Orpheus ever existed.

I’m baffled at how one can say that the writers of the gospel narratives concerning Jesus weren’t Jewish.
The whole of the gospels are written in a Jewish context. Also the Old Testament and Gospels were interpreted into the Greek since that’s what the most used language in the known world.

What the Apostles and Paul taught was how love fulfilled the law. Jesus came to fulfill the law. Paul and the Apostles taught that love fulfills the law. In fact John says that God is love. The truth is that we don't have the originals. The writings ascribed to Disciples in NT are on their behalf but there were many alterations. The first NT codes is from 350 AC. We know James - Yakov the brother of Yeshua who was a just Jew- Tsadik and worshiped in the Jerusalem temple. We also know that visitor bishop to a land of Israel encountered what he called the early followers of Yeshua and that their theology was very different from the one that was in Rome. If I'm not mistaken these were the Ebionites. They were Torah observing Jews, and in myopinion very similar to modern disciples of a leaders of Hasidim. I always wondered if the Psalm 22 crying out in the narrative was a legitimate scene- it reads as though he believed his own narrative of being Messiah and finding himself dying in that manner, cried out in anguish NOT being spared that or delivered- that he was realizing he wasn't being made Messiah or something.
What I've heard is that in those days, the first line of the Psalm was how one referenced the Psalm. It's like saying, The Lord is my Shepherd instead of Psalm 23. If you said the first line, you're referencing the whole text. Christians take the Psalm 22 reference as the moment Jesus took the sins of the world on Himself and felt some separation from the Father, but it was also like He said Psalm 22. We're in the age of the whole world knowing Genesis, the Torah, and Moses. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is worshipped everywhere because of Jesus.
If the Christian theology is "He is one and the same" then he cannot feel separation (from what, himself?!).

@@OrthodoxInquirer Actually "we" is a bad English translation of the Hebrew assuming Elohim must mean plurality. The verb conjugation of the sentence structure is ENTIRELY singular. It is NEVER in plural when speaking of or from HaShem. It is ALWAYS in singular, b/c as He says "HaShem is ONE". He is not "one of several" or "several acting as one" in the pagan sense. He is ONE.
And to say it is "not understandable" is to liken it to a divine mystery of pagan "mystery religions". That is not what the Tanakh contains at all. G-d is never a mystery in His revelations to us. He is clearly who He is... and as He says, He is ONE.
@@NeverlandSystemNoah We believe He is One also, but explain how the whole world knows the God of Israel and yet somehow the Messiah hasn't yet come? You can walk up to people in Africa and Alaska, Siberia, and China, and they have heard of Moses and the ten commandments because of Christianity. It really explains everything. Isaiah 53 isn't looked at specifically in Judaism because it's too difficult to explain. I'm so glad to talk to you and I hope it doesn't cause you pain. My roommate's grandparents died in the Holocaust so I'm extremely aware how Jews feel about someone trying to convert them. I also know Fr. Bernstein's book, Surprised By Christ, is really excellent. I actually want to become Orthodox because of Judaism. I almost converted to Judaism during my college years. When I got into real trouble, Jesus was there for me, and I'm completely sure it's true even though it's hard to explain and hard to believe. My being sure doesn't prove anything because many Mormons or Muslims are sure, too. I hope the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob reveals Himself to you. (Isaac is the one Abraham almost slew, and God provided the spotless sacrifice and said "take your son, your only son" even though Abraham had 2 sons.)
I never understood where they got these names from... apart from Matthew which is Matithiau... what are the jewish version of John, Luke and Marc?...
Even before I considered converting I never understood thing's like that. Also the fa t that Mary had no choice in giving birth to a child. I subscribe to the Jewish religion but idkifi can convert. I lll have to move near an orthodox synagogue. I have MS. I'm partially disabled. I love as a noahide
