My Dad used to say to me="Where there is a Will there is a Way"- and you obviously have the will and have turned a worthless old knife into an heirloom and worthy of being displayed in a glass case for all to enjoy. All done with tools of the same era as the knife. Kudos to you~!! Subed so I can see more of this~!!
I loved this restoration. No power tools. Just humble simple and honest work. Olive tree wood is surely one of the most beautiful finishing touches. Very good! The whole thing with the ghost images of the world war ll behind. It was a pleasure to watch. I'm waiting for more 👍👍👍

Great Video, great music, great historical footage and GREAT craftsmanship on your part. With your inspiration, off to work I go. The internal part of the knife is fine, all I'll have to do is replace the scales. I'm going to fashion the new ones from polymer clay ...I'll send a pic if I'm successful.

As a former grunt, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Unfortunately, the s.a.k. I had back then "grew legs". And just recently bought a brand new one! (To replace the Wenger I replaced my original one with!).
