Brian Anderson does play by play for the Brewers during the regular season, to be honest I’m surprised he’s still doing it as he’s been in the Brewers call for at least 15 years now. He’s the best play by play guy in sports. Whether it’s NBA, March Madness, MLB Playoffs, or just watching a regular season Brewers game, it is always a joy listening to him. And I agree, when he does national televised games, he always remains neutral and heightens the excitement equally for both teams

Do NOT pitch to Alvarez. Greg Maddox said that Barry Bonds was the easiest guy to deal with in baseball, because if he came up and the situation mattered, you simply walked him intentionally. That is advice for Alvarez. If the best hitter in the lineup of a 100+ win team comes up, and it matters, you WALK HIM!!!!

My good lord in heaven. Where has this team been? Why? Because I’m a stubborn Cubs fan who just “happened” to see what’s going on in the world of baseball playoffs, and after playing with some of these dudes on The Show, I’m like WTF? I came back to watch every single game thus far, on both sides of the league. There is no doubt in my mind that the DH and the extra WC team has been the absolute best thing for baseball. Now….having said that. The little kid on me wants to believe, but these baseballs……They gotta be juiced. Am I right here?

Remember how hot Pete Aonzo was in his Rookie year for the Mets? Alverez is that hot and dangerous. Correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't he on base when Bregman hit his Home Run? That Alvarez changed the dynamics of this whole game! He's sizzlin Hot! I texted my Cousin in New York that it looks like we will see the Yankees and Houston face off against each other again. I'm not gonna count the Mariners out just yet, but this game was supposed to go to Seattle and Alvarez personally said I think that I'm gonna see about that! I'd like to thank Scott Servais for making what might be the worst pitching change of all time. Without it, Seattle might have won the WS instead of our Astros. It's gonna be a battle with those guys again next year.

Agreed. He had given up 2 HRs in 3 innings of work in the postseason, and you're pitching to the Astros' power hitter. Not the best odds.

Why even pitch to Alvarez in that situation given the night he was having...walk him
and take your chances with anyone else. Unbelievable.

Because the guy coming up behind Yordan is Bregman. You do know what Bregman did in the 8th right ?

@@dilankarun9172 No....but I know what Alvarez did in the 9th and the night he was having up until then.
I'd take my chances with any other player on that roster under those circumstances...huge mistake.
      Cost them the game.

@@theprofromdoverduffey4653 Yes, you know now what Alvarez can do but prior to the at bat, Bregman has proven MANY times to be clutch in the postseason and Alvarez had not (prior to the at bat). He took a chance throwing the previous year's Cy Young left vs lefty and it just didn't go his way.

@@pestopaintandbody7464 If you watched the series you'd know that Alvarez had been destroying Mariners
pitching so as the manager you think outside the box and disregard all the baseball axioms and walk him.....
Simple....If Servais had been capable of doing that maybe they'd still be playing. I doubt it.

    • @pestopaintandbody7464

@@theprofromdoverduffey4653 no doubt it’s debatable. I just think putting the tying run in scoring position with Bergman up is not a better option. It’s easy to say walk Alvarez after he slaps a 3 run homer but I’m just trying to see how it would look prior to the at bat.
