- Venice, Los Angeles - April 24, 2024: A significant cleanup operation was carried out on Wednesday along Washington Boulevard in the Venice neighborhood, involving the towing of a recreational vehicle (RV) and a mini van. The operation, scheduled by the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works in collaboration with Clean Harbors Environmental Inc., focused on clearing the area of vehicles linked to a local homeless encampment.
Ahead of the cleanup, the city installed temporary "No Parking" signs, effective from 6 AM to 6 PM, to facilitate the operation. Los Angeles Police officers were present to ensure that the cleanup proceeded without incident, maintaining order and safety throughout the day.
Additionally, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) was active on site, offering outreach services to the homeless population affected by the cleanup. This included providing support and resources to those displaced by the towing of vehicles.
The coordination for the cleanup involved multiple city departments and was overseen by Councilwoman Traci Park's Housing Coordinator. The efforts exemplified a strong collaboration aimed at compliance with city regulations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the community.
The comprehensive effort underscored the city's commitment to addressing public health and safety concerns while being mindful of the needs of its most vulnerable residents. The presence of LAHSA and other supportive services during the cleanup highlights the dual approach of enforcement and compassion in dealing with issues related to homelessness.

That tow-truck driver thanking the cops cuz he just scored a big payout!
How do they know someone isnt dead inside that rv?
I wonder where the owners of these vehicles are?
I know right,,?like totally.bizarre.
They could be at work. There is a cohort that actually have jobs. They usually commute via bike or scooter rather than driving their massive RV and losing that prime beach side real estate they've annexed.
@@user-lp1jw9bo5y lol you thin these people have shame? They wouldn't be there in the first place if they weren't comfortable living shameful lives for all to see.
They'd want to be around to move it and avoid the impound or to take their crap out of it before it's towed. Those people didn't just cut and run they went to work or to hang out and do drugs with their friends.
Oh wow that one actually has plates and looks like it could be operational.
So to facilitate their actions, the conditions of parking where they were parked changed? Well that means the rest of the code has to be enforced meaning the 72 hour parking limitation then and only then could they be ticketed and towed. Hope these code enforcement people dotted their "i's" and crossed their "t's" cause the owners have a very good case of harassment if they didn't.
Great cleaning team😊👷👷♀🚧🛻🦺 is finally getting rid of all the scrap caravans from the road edges. It doesn't look good for holidaymakers when all the scrap is on every corner and everything around it is littered
Nice!
free rent we going to the tow yard Martha!
I watch almost every day and like many others I wonder why it takes a TASK FORCE to tow a couple of vehicles or clean out the Beach Toilet Hotel or sweep the Dog Park.
Just wondering who all the people are just standing around watching everything....👀
They are from LASA who provides services to homeless people. They show up in case somebody is there so they get some options regarding shelter before their RV is towed.
The government must get control of this. Give them fenced in designated lots to park, like cell phone lots at the airport. Control must be taken back from these people
Yeah because that's what the government is historically known for doing oh so well, rounding up people and putting them behind fences.. Your idea has been proposed before and every single NIMBY that ever existed comes out to complain how they don't want it in their backyard. Also I find it incredibly interesting how "control" needs to be yanked away from these people, but frankly don't have much control around anything in their lives then that's why they live outside, and I'm curious as to where you think that control needs to be taken from and given to. You maybe? I bet you're thinking you.
In this video the very few things that these people have are being taken away permanently. They're going to be in tents soon, and then you're going to whine about that too.
Lol....the government!
This does exist in some jurisdictions, for example, google "Safe Parking LA."
I did not know that defund the police made them into trashmen.
Almost the whole police department for just a motor home?.
they parked tue night sign put up wed morning . that sux
Guess what? They will be all back by tomorrow 😮
They'll be back by tonight.
disable them
One gone, 6 more move in.

No. It’s at least $500 for the tow and 25 or more per day for storage and you can only pay cash. Not picked up in 45 days. Auctioned off. That’s the way it works
Should of ask them to move to slab city or the city has them towed to slab city free of charge now they will live in a tent in that area
all of these people get paid too stand around with thier hands in packets all day long
Those same two women social workers are in every SMC homeless videos just standing around enjoying the sunshine for $62,000 a year (average social worker salary in CA)
Is it in the eyes of God stealing those motor home
It only takes 1 guy to tow a vehicle! And he better carry a gun!
I guess homeless people cant read, there are many sign warnings , or they left 2 somewhere a few hrs before signs went up, and whats they all standing around gossiping😅😅😮
And Daisy?💔
Rick Caruso and Alex Villanueva Karen bass is the problem
Make sure and fleece the taxpayer good and proper for these pulls.
@@user-lp1jw9bo5y Oh, I know. My cousin writes up the contracts for these. Among other contracts with the city. The waste of money is shocking. But, when you have an open checkbook?
Why are they all standing there on people's lawns like that.this is where tax payers money goes. Doing nothing. Luckily I don't live there I'll turn on the water hose. Ten people out there doing nothing don't need all of them out there for that.
A twofer! Adios. Sell that at auction for scrap only, or they'll be back.
They are worth next to nothing as scrap, too many environmental hazards. That is why junk yards will sell any RV that runs for next to nothing, which is how these people get them.
they dumb i see the sign now
Who is that lady with the blue suit and long auburn hair? I wonder if she is with the police or some other agency.
😀😀😀😀😀
These campers pee and poo in your yard at night. then steal your water from your outside spicket. i caught them in vista.

A Big RV that size costs at least $20k. How does a so called homeless people by this. That's enough $ to start to get your life cleaned up and get in a apartment.
That hunk of junk is not worth 20 grand anymore...maybe in 1985...now it's about 800 tops
No, those are all old models, be lucky if you get $1000 bucks for one.
Most of those RVs are not that new and not in good condition. Some are in horrible condition. You can't get into an apartment unless you have a good job or unless you have a good job and can room with other people. Or, unless you are persistent and can navigate waiting lists and such.
People buy them, park them, and rent them out.
It's a joke to get into apartment u need to make 2.5 times the rent I work my ass off make 1800 before taxes what I'm left with is 1500 1400 for the motel which is run down 25 bucks a week to live off took away my cal fresh because I went over 1600 this is my life I'm surviving but not thriving how am I supposed to get a apartment
You are in California. How is it that, That stunningly GORGEOUS blond police Occifer not a multi billionaire movie star?
The fake blonde plain Jane?
4:29 RV is bigger than tow truck so is minivan lol what’s with all the fists bumps ?
this is wrong thier van too
Half a century ago a simple lifestyle change/ decision to living in a camper or RV parked on a river or lake in a campground when you got old was a option in reality , no van-life BS, no class shame, no homeless stigma , Now getting old i am dreading the thought of possibly living in an RV, much less living in an RV in the city and sleeping in a Wal Mart parking lot just because it's free, somewhat safe and legal (i guess) or park on some random residential street knowing i will be moving sooner or later by force or free will.. Or being stuck somewhere because the POS- RV is broken down & i can't afford to fix it, & have nowhere to store it while repairing & living in it, or have enough money to even to tow it. So much for that delusional freedom of the open road concept of yesteryear. I think in some parts of Oregon they hold these homeless RV's for 20 days @ $100 a day storage fee, If someone can't come up with the $2k plus tow fee to get it out of the yard, the RV's are now scrapped & destroyed after 20 days, so they won't magically re-appear again with someone living or squatting in them on the street, Some forested areas in Oregon literally have scores of old broken down abandoned motorhomes tucked away & parked in what could be considered transient or homeless communities .Forest fires caused by some sketchy people living there is an omni present threat & danger. The multi Millions spent on bandages for the homelessness problem, you'd think they (the GoV would buy some undesirable land by a freeway or something, & fence it in so by mandate these people would park their vehicles, build their pallet shanties and pitch their tents there for the long term.add a water spigot and some outhouses & they are good to go & better off than before, Would save the city, county ,state and federal government a pile of money and Grant $, clean up the neighborhoodsm sanitize the shitty sidewalks 1 last time in business districts, But that would be a job killer for all the cops, rangers, clean up crews and obvious wasteful oversight managers now employed for this specific epidemic. I read that it cost around $70k per year per homeless person, $60k per years for someone in prison That's 5x the amount i receive on my SS check after working 50 years and paying into that.. I remember when Gov Gipper Reagan closed most the mental institutions and hospitals in California to save money back in the day, Thanks alot Ronnie we see the fruits of your labor in California today.
Living in an RV or camper isn't as easy as it sounds. It costs lots in maintenance, they leak terribly.
The institutions need to come back. It is common sense.
