I like the 'Shell-suited Imposters' and criminal Krays description of the troublesome Signal Crayfish :-) They are good bait for Perch I've heard. Some nice Sloes behind that Kingfisher, another Autumn bonus for steeping in Gin for a couple of months. as always, a beautifully made film that I will watch a few times more, like all of yours, Many Thanks and all the best to you!
What a lovely video. Full of nature but also showing exactly the techniques you have used with the sketches etc I especially enjoyed how you combined underwater canal footage which isn't something you see often. As I have taken up canal match fishing once again I found this particularly informative for thinking about how my perch/worm rigs are working and what the fish are actually doing down there. Thankyou
I must admit, Jonny, underwater filming has been such an eye-opener. It's nothing like we imagined it would be, in terms of fish behaviour. Thanks for watching.
I've just found your channel and wanted to say what lovely films you have produced. It's made me even more keen than usual to get out on the banks and tempt some autumn Chub and Perch.
Another absolute gem ... you manage to capture so much in every detail George . Your videos are on a different level in my opinion they truly inspire me . Thank you
You're fast becoming a groupie, Baz! Seriously though, we really do appreciate your positive comments. It's very much a partnership with Eric, whose input on ideas, filming and editing is both indispensable and immeasurable.
@@artificialflight1942 thank you Eric also . I simply speak as I find on all things in life (unfortunately ☺️) and the style of your videos really enthuses me . I can relate to all of the angling you do and not just that I fish some of the areas myself .
I really miss the artificial-lite journal that you wrote for many years Eric. I was an occasional, pretty uninspired if truth be told, canal angler back in the day. However reading the artificial-lite journal ignited a real passion in me for ultralight canal lure fishing. A passion that remains within me even though I am 60 next year. We don't have zander in the North West canals where I fish, however the methods I learned from artificial-lite allow me to target other species beyond the usual perch and pike, such as roach, bream and rudd, which I've all caught on lures thanks to the methods I learned after reading the artificial-lite journal. I hope I find you well Eric, many thanks
Great to see a new episode George. Interesting new slants too and some tidy fish too. Been hopefully looking forward to another video, and plenty more I hope. Thanks. Nige
It was indeed a long time! Sadly with the limitations of Covid, and life in general, plus the way we like to present things, it's been quite a challenge to get one done at all 😊. Thanks for your ongoing support David.
I always look forward to your videos, well put together and a joy to watch. Have you lost your centre pin? 😂 Please keep them coming, I’m already looking forward to the next one.
Again, thank you for your kind comments, Chris. We just enjoy variety tbh and rarely fish the same way two trips running, hence the centre-pin was on another rod at the time
I’ve been watching all your films again recently gents and still there is nothing on TH-cam that surpasses the content in epitomising the true spirit of angling.- absolutely brilliant! Are there any more productions in the pipeline?. .
Hi JJ, Thanks for viewing them again. You must have a very strong constitution 😉! Yes, we have a project underway. Just need some suitable weather now.
Well done chaps, another great watch. The filming and narration is exceptional as always and once again you guys have perfectly captured the true spirit of fishing. A quick question if I may;, what’s your reasoning for using the foam type pellet wagglers rather than more sensitive floats - presumable to enable big worm baits to be presented off bottom/suspended? Anyway, please keep them coming fellas,, by far the best angling films on TH-cam..👏
Thanks for your kind words again JJ. Yes you got it, it's the equivalent of the old perch bob. We don't want the float to instantly disappear. The perch won't let go but you can judge when to strike much better and, yes, it's a big bait, so there's little point using a fine float as it wouldn't have the necessary buoyancy.
I got to know the local constabulary well, when I did worm gathering on a regular basis. Only when they witnessed dozens of worms ready to harvest did they believe my story.
@@artificialflight1942 Yes George, I continue to fish and my passion for it is endless. Things have settled down nicely now and it is my intention to pick up the pen again this year. I miss the words. Keep up the excellent work!
Hello George. I can’t find another way to contact you, but hope you might see this comment and, if still involved with TH-cam, honour me with a reply… I’ve loved watching your content from a few years ago and I’m simply wondering why it began and finished so swiftly? As a busy father, husband, bread winner, one-time author and relatively new content creator, I understand the barriers to ongoing creativity all too well, but I hope you’re in good health and may revisit your channel at some point in the future. Tight lines and all the best, John
Thanks for getting in touch, John. The reason simply is that, initially covid, and then personal circumstances got the better of Eric and I. We do however have a new film under prep, again taking longer than it should, largely due to my technical incompetence, but hopefully you'll find that one to your liking in due course. All the best with your own venture too! George.
Thank you for doing these type fishing videos. Capturing the more gentle, poetic side of nature.
We think that's what it's all about, in these ever more stressful times, too William.
Thank you for your interest

Very kind Gerry, thank you too!
Brilliant video, thanks for sharing!
The sketches are great as „interludes”.
Ah yes!
There used to interludes on TV (just before my time tbh) but I recall seeing on played back of a Potter at work.
Thanks for the comment
Cracking ,Loved it !!!! Took me back a good few years......reminded me of the great & late, Jack Hargreaves. MORE PLEASE !!
Not too many years, we hope!

Superb, well narrated and relaxing video, thanks again.

I know, weird how times change and things move on! I followed your progress at Evesham this year btw. Nice job to qualify there!
loved it, thankyou very much.
Thanks for your input again Neale.
It helps to keep us motivated.
What a brilliant video, you make it how fishing should be relaxing and enjoyable
Just like the late Jack Hargreaves did. 👍
Praise indeed Lawrie.
Thank you so much.
Nearly as good as being on the bank myself! My kind of fishing 👏

Thanks for your comment
