Small remark: there are no constitution term limits in Lebanon that forbidden any former president from being elected once again. There only a limitation that a president can't be re-elected on another successive term(means remaining for a direct 12 years) but nothing says about being re-elected after a period of time

@Kosta Records you actually do not know the status of Iranians (Persians) in Islam
First there is nothing called second class Muslim , the Quran clearly says that Arabs aren't better than any other race , and that the good deeds are what matters
Moreover , it is well known that the prophet's best companion was a Persian , Salman , and that the prophet praised his people (the Persians) saying :
" If Religion/science was in the skies , a Persian would definitely reach it "
He also said that Persians will become more pious and attached to Islam than Arabs

also, i'm amazed at how much is talked about the israelit presence in south lebanon, and how little is spoken about the syrian presence in ALL of the lebanon, when the israeli presence and impact was so much smaller.

You seem very biased when talking about Lebanon. The Gemayel family were clearly the bad guys and many Lebanese were against them. They literally wanted peace with Lebanon's only enemy "Israel". Syria was there to stop the civil war and bring peace and they achieved it after 1990. Israel wanted a piece of Lebanon and the civil war was an opportunity. And stop calling groups defending their land terrorists. The only terrifying forces were the foreign occupiers including the west that tried to interfere and got blown out with their tail between their legs. Stop talking about Lebanon and siding with Israel and its allies as if they were the good guys.
