    There are 2 main mistakes:
    First Amin Gemayel’s appointement of Aoun as prime minister wasn't unconstitutional despite that the Muslims claim that the post should go to Sunni, but in reality the deal to do so was a verbal non-written deal with no constitutional meaning if we wanna to take the constitution as sole reference. There was no binding article in the constitution that reparts the post among the sects in Lebanon.
    Second, you really gonna reform your maps. This isn't the first time that I see geographic errors in it. The Qleiat region, in which the deputies elected president Rene Mouawad, is in the far North of Lebanon, not in the center, in what is called the district of Akkar. Furthermore the region in which the deputies elected president Elias Hrawi is in Chtoura, Zahle district, not Baalbeck

    • @gillesaboubechara2978
      @gillesaboubechara2978 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Another mistake I just remembered, when he was attacked, Patriarch Sfeir was not in Beirut but in the Maronite Church headquarter in Bkerke, Keserwan district. And he was forced to evacuate to his Summer headquarter in Diman valley, the region being under Syrian control since the start of the Aoun's conflict.
      Another remark, the first suspect for president Mouawad's assassination are the Syrians after he made several declarations that goes against Syrian ambitions in Lebanon. 2 of them are: 1- Syria wanted to launch a full offensive against Aoun to overthrow him, but Mouawad refused, preferring to resolve the situation diplomatically. This was not the case with president Hrawi who did everything, even military action to overthrow him. 2- Despite being elected with Syrian backup, president Mouawad, in accordance with the Taeif agreement, formally requested the Syrians, on the 10th of November, to withdraw from Christian regions(like in the North, Zahle district, Baabda district, some parts of Matn and Keserwan districts) as well as the Druze regions of Mount Lebanon and Western Beirut as a first step to apply the Taeif agreement. That request caused the wrath of Syria and prooved that Mouawad wouldn't serve Syrian agenda.

    • @gillesaboubechara2978
      @gillesaboubechara2978 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Another major mistake in the video: President Amine Gemayel returned from exile in 2000 and not in 2005. He and his sons led the opposition to the syrian presence and the pro-syrian government until the cedar revolution in 2005.

    Too many wrong info in this final video of the series:
    1- It was not an unknown who shot and killed the protestors at naher el mot . It was the Lebanese forces.
    2- There are undeniable proof that geagea killed Rachid Karame and Dany Chamoun ( especially Rachid )
    3- Geagea aided the syrian invasion of the free region on October 13 1990 and it was not mentioned in the video.
    4- It was not Aoun supporters who attacked the patriarch . It was later proven that the lebanese forces were behind it and made it look like aoun did it.
    5- Aoun did not attack the Lebanese forces in east Beirut because he was promised more power by Syria. That is a huge contradiction for someone who waged a full war on syria and asked them to withdraw from the country.
    6- I can go on but cant remember all of them.

      Let me help you:
      7 - Saddam Hussein's war on Kuwait was also the Lebanese Forces' fault.
      8 - LF assisted the communists in the 1989 Tienanmen Square Massacre.
      9 - Samir Geagea orchestrated the 9/11 attacks from his cell in Yarzeh.
      10 - LF were responsible for the overthrowing and murder of Muamar Gaddafi in Lybia.
      11 - The Boston bomber had allegiances to the Lebanese Forces.
      12 - LF were the ones behind the assassination of Rustom Ghazali in Syria.
      13 - LF smuggled Ammonium nitrate and stored them in warehouse 12 of the Beirut Port which eventually triggered an explosion that leveled half the city.

    • @donnyjoe123
      @donnyjoe123 หลายเดือนก่อน

      2- Aoun himself said that Geagea was not responsible for Dany Chamoun’s killing, as well as Dory Chamoun, Dany Chamoun’s own brother. Dany Chamoun was in the once Aoun controlled territory, which was then taken by the Syrians and the LF had no presence there as they pulled out from Beirut further North beyond Nahr el Kalb tunnel which was closed. The accusation that Geagea had killed Dany Chamoun was started by Walid Jumblatt who back then was one of Syria’s dogs and I know as a Aounist what you think about Jumblatt. Aounists always bring up that Geagea killed him for the position of minister however he rejected it and there’s no reason Dany Chamoun, who rejected Taif, would get the position of minister in the first place over Geagea, who accepted Taif.
      Concerning Rashid Karame, he had no reason to kill him and Dany Chamoun himself believed he was innocent of his killing. Many say it was Aoun actually. Another assassination I have to bring up is Rene Moawad’s who Aoun probably killed as well as the Sunni Mufti of Beirut.
      3- LF was attacked first by the army twice in February of 1989 A MONTH BEFORE AOUN DECLARED HIS WAR OF LIBERATION AGAINST SYRIA AND MONTHS BEFORE THE LEBANESE FORCES ACCEPTED TAIF. Michel Aoun spilled Lebanese Christian blood because he thought Syria would make him president.
      4- this is false the videos are online and everything is there to be seen. As a matter of fact Aoun later defended the protestors who carried him and glued his pictures all of Bkerke saying that the Patriarch “should have welcome them”
      5- like I said before he attacked the Lebanese Forces a whole month before he declared war on Syria. Aoun met with Syrian generals (as well as Israeli ones) many times. It was Amin Gemayel who made Michel Aoun Prime minister and we know how Amin Gemayel’s stance with Syria was throughout his presidency. Syria would have had their way years before if it hadn’t been for Samir Geagea and the Lebanese Forces.

      Extremely uninformed opinion.
      There is a plurality of sects in Lebanon. The major sects are Maronite Christianity, Shia Islam, Sunni Islam, and the Druze, other Christian/Muslim minority groups. These groups have been here for 100s of years. In fact, only the religions were ever imported into Lebanon. Major population replacement never happened. The Lebanese population can be described as Arabised Phoenicio-Arameans, that were respectively converted from Phoenician Paganism, to Maronite and later Orthodox Christians. Then, in part to Shia, Sunni, Druze, etc.
      The civil war started with the Palestinian militants clashing with Kataeb forces. This wasn't the first clash tho. PLO fighters that spilled over from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict were engaging in low-intensity armed conflict with the Lebanese army since 1969, the same year the Cairo agreement was signed (although the clashes happened before then too). The Cairo agreement legitimised Palestinian armed presence in Southern Lebanon (majority Shia area). It was signed due to pressure put on by the then regional powers Syria and Egypt in support of the Palestinian resistance. Later in 70-71, the PLO terrorists that were operating from Jordan were expelled after they revolted against the Hashemite king. That's when most various Palestinian resistance groups flocked to Lebanon. From then on, they started unlawfully (even according to the Cairo agreement) setting up military checkpoints, curfews, and a quasi state in Southern Lebanon, all while harassing and oppressing the Shia population. They kept up this behaviour until the early 1970s. That's when they started projecting their authority on West Beirut (largely Muslim, all sects). Military convoys, shadow-state regulations. Etc.
      When they started edging in on East Beirut (largely Christian), the already disgruntled population reached a breaking point.
      Not-so fun fact: Amal, a Shia militia, killed more Palestinian militants than Israel and Kataeb combined in the final stage of the Lebanese civil war (mid eighties onwards).
      There's lots more to be said, but at the very least this is enough to debunk your claim.

Druze are Tanoukhid descendents who were in Jabal Al Druze prior to their settling of the Gharb region in Mount Lebanon at the service of the Caliphate at the time. The majority of Sunnis are products of the different caliphates and latter on the Ottoman Empire. @@donnyjoe123 the melkites was an umbrella term for Pro-Chalcedonian Eastern Christians. Phoenicians were converted to Maronite by the Apostle of Lebanon Abraham of Cyrrhus. You're right about the origin of the Druze. I did oversimplify, but I clarified that the religions were imported and no mass population displacement took place. The Druze that settled in Mount Lebanon did marry locally (despite what they may have you believe) and fall right smack dab in the middle of the Lebanese gene cluster. Same with Sunnis and Shias. During Islamic and Ottoman empires, there were, naturally, immigrants into Lebanon. Some carried their family names on. However, most Arab-origin family names (especially ones going back to Yemen) were fabricated for prestige and privilege. This is corroborated by DNA tests and cluster maps. Lebanese derive ~90% of their ancestry from Phoenician Canaanites, with little variance between the sects.

    What this video has proved is that Israel should have Annexed South Lebanon from the litani river in 1982 and partner up with the LF. Had this happened, Lebanon would have become a very rich country

      @@alonraigorodetsky1803 times have changed, Saudi Arabia and UAE are the 2 most powerful Arab nations and they both will give their blessings for Israel to Annex Southern Lebanon and maybe go as far north as reclaiming Beirut.

      Mate, that was never going to happen. It is Israel's interest to keep the refugees in Lebanon and destabilize the country. They don't care about the Christians nor the republic. They put the refugees here in the first place.
