My OCD , same exact issue, 1° for me as well, fixed the issue.... I also noticed the side wheel is slightly off as well , there is no adjustment for that but it works ... quality control issue.... but thanks for helpful video...

The extension arm to the right is fully out max and I couldn't figure how to level this gimbal until I saw your tip. Now it is nice and leveled. A pointer too...I attached a bubble level to the top of my gimbal so I always know that it is centered. Thanks again, I will subscribe!
@@videolane what does it mean when my smooth 4 all of the sudden the motors drops the position and suddenly the arms looks like without power letting my iphone drop down (still attached on the gimbal)? 1.Should that happen when the motors aren't calibrated? I am using for professional purposes and I cannot have such drops during a video shooting or a videostreaming. 2.Also any soution to keep the phone charging while streaming? I am using a thin adapter power source and headphones and I have tried recalibrating all thin adapter included. So when I film the cellphone battery doesn't use too much battery. 3.I am using iPhone 7 just in case can keep connected headphones and smooth 4 at the same time? I recently got my smooth 4 and im facing 2 issues. Using the Samsumg NOTE 10+. 1- It doesnt align with the horizon, 2 - when holding the gimbal straight, its pointing at a diagonal pan angle. Did you face a similar issue?

VideoLane I can’t calibrate it.. there is an option to do it, you have to go through 6 steps, putting the device in different positions. I get stucked in the last step.. I put the device in the position and nothing happens.. you know what I mean ?

Hey Thank you for video, I have issue with pan motor. After start-up it stays slightly to the the right (not centered) I have done six side calibration but it didn't help. And motor calibration doesn not include pan motor. Any idea how to fix?
I bought a Smooth 4 some days ago and realized this issue after a day. After a calibration it was OK but I will send it back and switch to Osmo. Actually I thought this gimbal would auto-adjust itself via sensor. Also the movement isn't that smooth.
Sir. firstly, it worked and thank u. But problem is my gimbal keeps breaking the calibration and i do nothing to cause that i searched on net but i couldn't find anything. Hope u see this, i really don't want to recalibrate it everytime. Btw i use my gimbal week by week and after i use it i just leave it vertical on my desk.

I accidentally turned on Smooth 4 while locked after calibration without phone in and the gimbal started shaking. Hope there was no damage to the motors!

Yes out of the box the horizon is not level. What a horrible interface to bury calibration below so many obscure menu levels. Thanks for explaining.

You still need counterweights for heavier phones.
VideoLane ... im using an iPhone XsMax and i was using counterweights.. i just calibrated it and now its balance.. no counterweights..

Hold the handle as vertical as possible. When I hold the handle slightly more than 45 degrees the head will likely Drift Away.

No. We don't have to do this every time we use a different phone. It just happens that my Zhiyun motor has drifted over time.
After completing the calibration, do you keep in manual or put it back into “pro” mode?
Yes. Switch it back. The motor will remember the setting.

Is it normal for it to get super hot where the zhiyun logo is after about couple mins of use?
It should not get super hot if the phone is balanced correctly before turning on the Smooth 4.
