I used to live next to Ken Harnden. He was a great singer. Had a few singles on the radio and did so many ad jingles. My favourite ad jingle was Discount Carpet. "If you don't buy discount, you are paying to much! Discount Carpet! * Guitar outro riff * : "de danna danna!"
Oh man, I attended what was once known as Moria secondary school. I'd stop at the Bayview mall on my way home to play the X-Men vs Street Fighter cab they had in there. So fun.
I also went to Moira for the first part of highschool.. we would go to the Bayview mall...(aging myself here) when we went it was the Belleville Plaza, and the bowling alley still had a vending machine for cigarettes. Easy way for us to grab a pack while underage.
@@terrytsurugi556 Yessssss!! Omg I loved that Kmart cafeteria when I was a kid. I can still picture it, an ashtray on every table, the fruit punch and lemonade flowing in the big cannisters, the smell of French fries and cigarettes in the air, what a time to be alive! 😅
I worked at the Belleville Plaza (now Bayview Mall) in the early 90s, at a Tshirt and decal store called Dee's Tee's. That white and green gazebo you showed once sold some great pizza and caesar salad! (A long time ago in a shopping mall far, far away... )
It's hard to believe it's been there for 50 years. I remember when it opened! And Bayview Mall, at the same time, was really a good place to shop, but it was a plaza then (it became a mall around 1978 when they closed it with a roof to cover everything.) .
@@SeanLiddleSplunge Yes, the bowling alley above the Woolworth's store. Remember the lunch counter there? And two grocery stores? A&P (where Food Basics is now) and Dominion down at the north end? It was a nice plaza until they covered it over.
I got my first job in grade 10 at that Mall ..pierced ears @ faces. Pervert row existed back then too ! what a riot. I think i socialized in that food court as much as i did my basement .😜
Hey Kyle congrats this is hilarious. It's making the rounds on Facebook down here in PEC, where the Quinte Mall the closest thing we have to Big City Shopping, ha.
I loved the Bellville Plaza.I moved out in 94. Is MadJack Video still around? What about Pizza Plus? Joe's Pizza was my place until I discovered Squareboys but then Pizza Plus was the king with that awesome dough-knob in middle of the pizza.
That video store was the best! Sadly it closed, along with pretty much every other mom and pop video store, in the early 90s. I'll never forget when they closed, they gave me their copy of The Quest because I rented it so much. They were really nice people. I also rented my first horror movie there (not the first one I saw, just the first time my mom allowed me to rent one), it was Children of the Corn. Ahhhhhh memories 😄
I remember when the mall was even less exciting.. you didn't walk in a circle, you walked the perimeter of a giant L and occasionally stopped to steal a quarter out or the fountains that used to exist so you could play pinball outside of the bank.. and then went to sneaky Petes for a hamburger OF QUESTIONABLE MEAT COMPOSITION..
Bahaha! I loved those fountains, I always thought they made a mistake removing those, they gave the mall some charm and made it feel less cold and sterile, but they were probably disgusting lol. Sneaky Pete's was the best, when I worked at the mall that's where we all used to go smoke cigarettes, hidden away in the back corner 😂
Yo brother, that was our hangout place in high school. Stealing from the buck or two and snatching a few posters from Alison's and chill on the north side of the parking lot. Oh and also get "Great"Rix to buy us some colt 45s at the LC. #muchlovefortheBVM
Why'd you have to do the Bay View Mall like that. The elderly guy who runs the International bazar has really been trying man, You can only sell so much marijuana paraphernalia
Irresponsible hating on the Bayview Mall brother. Prayers up weird ornamental brass/bootleg t-shirt/head shop. If Amazon ever stops selling Nag Champa you've got me back until I move. I will likely never move. I'm trapped here.
Its crazy that we have such funny and talented people in belleville yet barely anybody knows about them.

Year late, but I just discovered him and I LOVE this channel
Kingston has The Tragically Hip. Belleville has Kyle.
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
Kingston sucks! Kingston Frontiacs are garbage!
In the late 80s I had the honour of being the mall mascot, Eddie the Bear. I got kicked in the butt a lot.
“Pepeo has eat” is everything
This young feller oughta be MAYOR of this here town.
Perverts Row
😂🤣😂🤣 I’m dead
Any girl that’s ever worked in the mall can vouch that this is a real thing 😂🤦🏼♀️
lol
Moment of silence for Bi Way.
Me and all the other x employees of the mall.
WHO IS THIS MAN?!
Thank you for this accurate representation and vibe of the mall and complete banger.
Makes me want to go to the Quinte Mall today!!!
@@robertdurkin9600 What Miracle Mart?
I moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia last year and drove by this...the song was stuck in my head until I reached Riviere Du-Loup
That's a little disappointing. I would've at least liked to have stayed in there until Edmundston

LOLLL I love this XD if you ever come back to the quinte mall, I work in Charmed Aroma, I'd love to say hi and meet you and so would my team!! XD
bud... thewrestling game they had in there was the ultimate arcade. "Tow Strap!"
I'm still surprised they went with Trojans all these years later
Who remembers Sneaky Pete's? Loved that place.
Definitely! The restaurant and the take out adjacent to it. And going way back: The Kmart cafeteria had great french fries and fruit punch. Ha!

This is great 😂 I'll always have a soft spot for the Quinte mall, worked there at Jean Machine in the early 2000s, it was the best
I want to express how much joy these videos bring myself and my friends! You could be the best!
So stoked to move back here this year
ok the review part was fckin priceless lmao
I haven't been to Belleville in at least 15 years... this makes me want to go just for the mall lol.
i was a Bayview mall kinda guy.
This sums up the mall perfectly. Can't stop watching on repeat!
Honestly this and the and the Belleville songs are my two favourite vids on the tube
I just visited Belleville because it is on the way to Picton. Walked around in a circle at the Quinte Mall. Had this song on my mind all weekend lol

the BP is so underrated.
Was it called Salmagundi's or J'eat Yet?

Just moved to Quinte, found this on reddit and it made my goddamn day.
Keep up the good work Kyle 😊👍
This is brilliant
Omg! I'm dying laughing! Thanks for the cameo at the end! 😂😂😂 That was a pretty epic day! 😂

I usually avoid the mall but it's 2 days before Christmas and here I sit waiting for it to open so I felt I needed to listen to this song
I love this and shared it on FB❤️❤️🌻🇨🇦
Who knew there were funny people in Belleville
Back when I lived in "The Vole" from 86 to 94, Bayview mall was where it was at. East side! Hard af!
Dude as someone who grew up there, this is pure gold hahaha holy shit

my buddy sent this to me, seeing as how this is literally our area and this is amazing
OMG dude..this is gold
Man I never comment on anything but that was pure awesome thanx man made my day
I grew up in Trenton but I love the Quinte Mall.
Kyle, can you upload your tracks to Spotify? I need these bangers in my daily life

Keep it up brother. Get a pic of sad santa at the bayview mall

I'm still trying to get on local community tv

I just tweeted this to Lauren Ash... Hopefully she makes you a little more famous. :)
One thing Bay View Mall has over the Quinte Mall: BM's experienced the grandeur and mystery of the *LMN STORE.*
What about that god-awful intersection by Chapters? That thing was a cluster back when the mall was busy. Great song and edits though.
We need an updated version- everything is closed at the quinte mall - perverts from the row are homeless :( lol
Just seeing this video now .. Haha nice! Do you still do vids around Belleville? I'm thinking about giving ya a sub ..
Hey Kyle, you still working as a receptionist? Cool.
We need to collaborate!!! I have a sick videography and sound studio and a twisted mind hahah
Next you should do a review of inside the bay die mall
He looks like Rhett from Rhett and Link
I live in bellivile
You live in a very nice and good city. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.
Omg the Bayview mall
Reddit sent me here.
Bayview really went down hill, used to be bustling, with various stores. I've heard the rents are not cheap there, could be part of it.
lol I remember in the late 80s, the Belleville Plaza was just renovated and always had that new smell- especially from the Polish deli.
LOL from a guy that likes crappy places
This is jokes. When they had the movies in the mall it was a fun place to go but that may before your time.
I prefer the Bay-View Mall myself...
Omg I’m dying!
