I believe in one of your videos you said that you let it grow like 4 days... Do people notice at the four day mark? @@FromADistanceJewelry no one has been able to notice at the 4-5 day mark (which is the longest I’ve grown it since having it done), they didn’t drop it too low to where I think it would be noticeable if I grew it out but I’m not 100% on that
I got smp and I have recessed temples and I really like it. I originally wanted to go a centimeter or so below my normal hairline but the practitioner recommended I go at the normal hairline. I am definitely glad that I did because I really like the look of my smp with 1-2 days growth. I actually would of been very happy with even further recessed temples just so there wasnt an obvious texture difference when growing it out past 3 days or so. Most people cant tell but I can so theres that.
Wow, I wish I could take a look at yours. Where did you end up going to get your SMP done? Would you recommend not bringing the hairline down or doing the recessed Temple areas still?
@@FromADistanceJewelry I think that SMP looks best when youre lucky enough to have some hair that grows in where the SMP is. So it looks especially amazing if you have 1 day growth at the area where the SMP is. If you do the hairline lower than this then you wont get the same effect from the 1 or 2 days of growth in that area because obviously no hair is growing there. I live in southern california and went to Skalp, the practitioner name there is Andreas. I ended up choosing this place because all Skalp practitioners go through 3 months of training instead of a week in London with the owner of the brand. There is only 2 of these in the US, LA and NY. He was able to show me 100's of clients on his phone and he also showed me people with my skin tone and going for feathered/faded natural receded temple look to give me an idea of the expectations. I am going to make a post to SMPChat with my updated results 6 weeks after last session. I'll post a link when I do. I am 40 so personally I definitely would not go lower on the temples. I actually would of went just very slightly higher on the temple tbh but I am very happy how everything has turned out so far, I'd say it has exceeded my expectations for the most part.

I see you’re back in NY! The smp looks best on you with some hair growth. Doesn’t look as good with a shaved head. And I wouldn’t bring the hairline down. It would look weird with a few days of growth and the lower part being just the tattoo.

I want to see what they have to say about maybe not bringing it down but at the very least doing the recessed areas. From the front it doesn't look too bad but from the sides I think it looks terrible and makes me look a lot older.
