@@ihatewomen1776 All VPN's keep logs. If you've ever set a VPN up, you know by default, they keep logs. They have to, otherwise the routers wouldn't be able to tell who's data belonged to whom. If you think a VPN is keeping you private or secure, you know nothing about how TCP/IP works and might as well save money and not use a VPN. VPN's are used for *security* and your imaginary 'privacy' is a byproduct of the protocols which handle encryption, generally L2TP/IpSec.

Dude for someone who's channel is named 'Techlore' you sure don't know how technology works huh? It's as simple as analyzing TCP flow, grab the source/destination IP of google's data collection servers, and the ports used. Open up your firewall, which every shitty router has now, though I would recommend a Cisco router. Define your new access list to block all TCP egress traffic to the destination/source IP (depending on which TCP traffic you analyzed to get the IP) as well as the ports used. Ta-dah, you've now *properly* filtered a minute section of your traffic with your router. All the benefits of using Chrome, none of your perceived drawbacks.

Please keep in mind this video is part 1 of 4 videos covering browser hardening. Brave doesn't allow the same kind of control of scripts and trackers as a hardened Firefox WILL eventually allow, after following the next few lessons. Out of the box Brave is very competitive, but they've come under criticism for not creating a perfect out-of-the box tool, which is expected. Firefox gives control, Brave gives convenience. Convenience will not offer the same degree of control over blocking specific types of scripts on a site-by-site basis. As I was editing this lesson I kept pausing at that exact timestamp and debated whether or not to expand on this...congrats for pointing out the moment I was struggling to decide on for a long time. I probably should've expanded...

You were answered. TLDR: There will be much finer control over scripts and trackers in a hardened and configured Firefox than an out-of-the-box tool like Brave when everything is said and done. This will be covered in the next few lessons. If you don’t agree, then please explain where I’ve gone wrong.

Hey, man, your uh, video? You do realize Firefox does more than just a "small amount of tracking." Firefox makes a ton of unsolicited Browser Requests, as well as being a slower engine. It's pretty problematic of a browser that it needs to be CONFIGURED to be privacy centric.
That, in itself, is an awful browser. Secondly, you should have mentioned these browsers instead: iridium Browser, Ungoogled Chromium, as well as Pale Moon Browser.
Brave and Firefox both make unsolicited requests immediately upon start up which could do a variety of things from getting your IP location to your geolocation.
It should also be mentioned Brave is a highly unethical browser, that whitelists trackers from the worse offenders of privacy: Facebook, Google, as well as Twitter, Yahoo, and Cloudflare. This series is a nice step in the right direction but you should be trying to get your users to go above and beyond, or put in levels of privacy and ease of use.
