About the VCR: There's still tons of movies that aren't available on the internet, or DVD/BluRay. Heck, there's even some movies that only ever had a laser disc release. So, depending on your tastes, you still might have some use for a VCR. I still have one and it's still hooked up to a TV. It doesn't see THAT much use, but it still works great. :)
I still have several VHS tapes and a working VHS player. We haven't used it in years, as we have TH-cam and streaming services now. Still, good times in my childhood
Yeah, I too still have one. It's even still hooked up to a CRT TV. And it still works great. But it also cost like 800DM back in the day (which is about 560€ today), so it BETTER still work!
i love Desiree aproach to tasks where she knows best way to do it, but chooses the entertaining way anyway. Bonus point for wanting to bully lithe Alex for the dance task
I didnt know Desiree before this , I love her ! shes fun , she is perfect for Taskmaster , many Americans take themselves too seriously or just dont get the British humour , but she gets it :-)
Bit surprised she couldn't plug her phone in - in the UK, the old phone system is still active and if you have a DSL based Internet connection you should still be able to plug a phone into the line. There are plans to shut it down and go to a VOIP system over broadband, but that's not happened yet.

This show really grew on me. Especially in this series there is not a single guest I don't enjoy watching. I mean in former series I particularly enjoyed watching only one or two of the contestants and some were actually boring but this series all of them are amazing. I think the key is finding sweet truly modest people who completely leave their celebrity identity out of the studio.
I want to listen to the remainder of this podcast series, but I can't because it would appear as if the last two episodes of Taskmaster have not made it to TH-cam - please help a Canadian fan out!
@@rowbearly6128 Right, it had the box, so more than likely it was never sold, buffeted about as it went from overstock to discount store to charity shop to eBay. A damaged box from being handled 200 times, but still a box accompanying the mixer because no one ever bought it to use the mixer.
@@NivMizzet89 I'm not saying it is impossible, I just don't trust it. It doesn't really matter much if it was a purchase or not, I just think it is cooler when they definitely brought in one of their own belongings to be judged.
I keep the box for almost everything. Where else would I store things like the instruction manual and the attachments? Also, much of the resale value is in the box.

It is being blocked here. If you look at the community tab of the thumbs up Cat from Mars where you may have previously watched 12, you might find a surprise.
The Taskmaster TH-cam channel (the very channel that has this podcast) uploads all full episodes. I watch them from Austria, so I'd be surprised if there were any geographic gating that prevents US viewers from watching.
Quite late to the comments here but there's definitely geoblocking and it always doesn't make sense. In the UK, there's s number of podcast eps not available on YT which I can only access when traveling in mainland Europe (ex: Romesh's podcast)

If you want you can download a VPN and use it to connect to an American or UK network, then you'll be able to watch them.
