@@slonmish He should have knocked out that creep and kicked him around the studio. A bust jaw and broken ribs would have taught that gastropod a few basics about interview techniques, and how to treat a lady. She might not have needed such intervention, but it would have been the gallant thing to do.
You answer your question in your own comment. Rashida's ethnic information is public knowledge because her dad is Quincy Jones, legendary music producer. A good reporter should know that.
I'm sure some celebrities aren't sure if the interviewer is just ignorant or they are actually taking a jab at them for some reason. The later is probably why some celebrities flip their $hit when asked certain Q's.
Why are you asking a load of strangers to 'appreciate' a reply? What would that achieve for you, how do people show their appreciation? Why are you involving yourself so deeply in this? You're very strange. If you liked her reply I'm absolutely delighted for you, but just enjoy it on your own, you don't need agreement from anyone. Weird.
I respect many of the celebs in these clips for standing up for themselves in a firm way without being completely rude. What that interviewer said to Scarlett was incredibly misogynistic, ignorant and inappropriate. Also the “tans” comments to Jones.
@@jacobgrafstrom1917 Misogyny doesn’t mean you hate women, it means he’s an uneducated weirdo who felt like they absolutely should’ve answered those questions when they made it clear they were uncomfortable. They tried to change the subject but he kept pushing it. That’s what’s misogynistic about it. The fact that he didn’t see that and felt like he could ask that question and deserved an answer to it. No more no less. To continue on that point, there aren’t that many women out here asking men those kinds of questions. How many women interviewers ask Ben Affleck or some other poor bastard who has to wear tights if they have on underwear? You let me know.
Honestly the ones that made me cringe were Seinfeld & West but not because I thought the interviewer was rude. West deserved the treatment for his own rude/crazy stunts. And Seinfeld was out of bounds and reacted purely based on his ego in thinking he and his show of his own name should be common knowledge to everyone. I for example know who he is and his show but I'm not a fan and don't watch so it's not possible for me to know if I happened to watch that interview. I only know who he is because I always see my dad watching his show and more recently for his Bee movie. That's it.
Nah, I disagree completely, that interviewer was trying to make Kanye look like the bad guy, by playing him the clip and trying to make him feel sorry for Bush, right after he already apologised, for calling him a racist. Plus playing the Taylor Swift clip, while he was talking, I agree with him, that was ridiculous.
Jerry Seinfeld behaved extremely poorly. Larry merely asked a question in order to inform the audience. His gigantic ego must be making up for a short coming somewhere else.
Cameron Crawford hey someone gets it! Did no one watch him trying not to smile the entire time? Woosh. Right over this channels head.. and most viewers. 🤦♂️
I think she had something up her butt the moment he started to talk about her shape. And I know why, it's cause she was tired that people kept talking about how much weight she lost. I think the interviewer should have been more frank instead of turning around the subject.
Not defending him but I think it's completely normal for interviewers asking these questions. Actors/ Actresses have the pressure to being in a certain physique to do the role, whether that's to gain a few pounds or lose it.
Much worse of Kanye's infamous 2009. incident with Taylor was Beyonce's reaction. She pretended like she was surprised but her facacial expressions looked like she knew exactly what Kanye was going to do and say and she was all like " omg . ..I didn't know Kanye would say that, but he is right! I am the best! The BEST!! What a fake reaction of shock, surprise and embarrassment when she actually was so happy and proud. He arrogance and her huge ego definitely deserve a reward.
You're adding a lot of drama to the Seinfeld bit. He wasn't attacking or boasting, he was joking. King was going along with it. That's clear if you're not interrupting it every four seconds.
An example of karma and irony: Kanye getting peeved that his time to speak got interrupted, and it got interrupted by a video of *him rudely interrupting someone else.*
The whole interaction was probably scripted. It's pretty common for comedians to provide "pitches" in advance to interviewers which they can respond to. It was very common for Carson to set up gags for guests on his show by asking scripted "off-the-cuff" questions.
Actually Larry didn't watch Seinfeld and had no idea that Jerry had left.He thought it got dropped. He said in an interview that he should have known it but didnt and Jerry got pissed.
It always bothers me the sexist way interviewers talk to actresses as opposed to actors, as if they're not to be taken as seriously as their male counterparts. Anyway, I remember hearing about the Rashida Jones incident when it happened and as a biracial woman myself part of me laughed a bit but was also highly disturbed by both how ill-informed and how ignorant the interviewer was. Kudos to Ms. Jones for keeping it classy though!
If you think this is sexist, try listening to the Breakfast Club interviews...the male interviewer has no qualms about asking Niky Minaj if she is having sex.
stormysocks I would agree it wasn’t necessarily sexist, but it for sure was totally creepy, weird, and inappropriate. Like, who asks someone about wether they are wearing underwear or not?
I've trained actor to get into shape. They often get asked what they ate, and how they trained. Cavil has had to talk about how many calories he ate per day, just to get into shape. That is common.
Dumb interviewers are pretty common, too. As a journalist in this field, he wasn't informed enough about her performance to introduce a question in the matter. He has the reputation of being vague and indiscreet (BTW, he is the guy who asks about Scarlet's underwear), that's why he get this treatment. If you have genuine interest in fitness or bring a solid set of questions, you will get a decent answer. He couldn't even mention any scene, any backstage reference.
tange2000 He was (and still is, I guess) a successful stand up comedian who had an extremely popular sitcom named after and starring him. His show was a big deal in the 90s.
I never understood why Seinfeld freaked out. Didn't King say in his question that "they didn't cancel you. You canceled them." Also, many times interviewers know the answer to the question they're asking, but they also know the audience might not know
Kudos to Anne Hathaway, for putting that guy in his place. Scarlett Johansson was great too. Some guys are completely clueless about how uncomfortable it is to talk about your body with a total stranger. Many women find this very creepy and intimidating. If you're not sure if something you're going to say to a woman in a non-flirtatious scenario, is creepy, then just imagine yourself saying it to a guy. How does it sound now. One time I was getting my yearly review and my manager started complimenting my body and asking me if I worked out. Then he asked me if I was athletic and played any sports. I'm a guy, so it was one of the most awkward conversations I've ever had. I told a few co-workers about it and they shrugged it off. They said he was a multisport athlete in college and he was probably sizing me up for the company softball team. I said, "Okay, but he never asked if I played softball and what do sports have to do with how tight my shirts and pants are fitting since I started working out?" Sounds creepy doesn't it guys? Well, that's how we make women feel in professional and social settings when we just randomly start talking about their bodies.
Yes, but if you're interested in the person, you'll start complimenting them by talking about how hot their body is, and if they like you, they won't think it's creepy, they'll pretty much just start sucking
Patriot Jefferson That’s like saying to a retail worker “you’re okay serving people at work but you won’t get on the floor and shine my shoes”. What they’re comfortable to do in a *job* when they’re being paid to do it as part of a film project and their everyday life are two different entities. If you don’t know that, you must not have a job. And which of them are known for only being in roles where they’re nude?
Please......Seinfeld was just being himself with Larry. BOTH were fine with this afterwards as well. King even said recently that to this day people STILL come up to him and say how rude Jerry was to him and he laughs saying that it couldn't be farther from the truth.
That's bc he's just trying to be nice. As an interviewer you're used to doing that because you want people to return to your show, so it just becomes ingrained
Neil Ballantyne--- My point exactly Neil....Jerry was just being Jerry at that particular moment. He was trying to "act upest" but clearly he was having Fun with Larry. No worries Neil. I, like many other's viewed this "exchange" as hilarious! Cheers man.
The way I saw King's question was that he wasn't so much inquiring "if" it happened but establishing the severity. Most shows are cancelled before their time and Seinfeld was able to end his show on his own terms. That's huge and I think that's what he was getting at.
I was kinda-sorta expecting that Tom Hardy interview to go another direction, to be honest. *Hardy:* "Are you asking me about _my_ sexuality?" *Interviewer:* "Well...yes." *Hardy:* "Why?" *Interviewer:* "Because I sometimes fantasize about you taking _me_ up in your big, strong, steely arms and holding me close as you carry me into the sauna for..." *Hardy:* "...uhhh...right. We should...we should probably move on now." *Interviewer:* "...yes. That would probably be best. So...do you have any other roles lined up yet?"
Poor Anne Hathaway. She was SO trying to not say the “wrong” thing because she’s well aware that one little mistake will get her cancelled. Sad…can’t even say being in shape is BEING IN SHAPE
Larry King didn't ask a question. He made statement and asked for confirmation. He was clearly doing this for the benefit of the audience. Jerry Seinfeld reaction sounded very much like he was doing a comedic riff pretending he had been slighted.
It was definitely uncalled for, but I think he was uncomfortable with the awkwardness and just wanted to get it over with. notice the awkward laughing and the way he keeps finding other ways to distract himself like looking at his wrist or away from the two arguing people.
A lot of these weren’t even as bad as they described them to be. And please let the clips play and stop pausing them 56 times to reflect, we understand what’s happening.
@BlackKnight101 It's been an issue for a long time. Male actors will get the interesting questions about their characters and their acting style, while female actors are asked questions about their outfits, underwear, and (if they're a mom) how they balance working and being a mom.
I wish you didnt describe what they did right before showing the clip. You even pause the clip to explain exactly what happens next before showing it. Why? Why?
Because, as PT Barnum or HL Mencken may have said, nobody ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the American public. If you want to maximize your click revenue, you have to explain everything so the Tide Pod people can understand it.
Hmmm a little bit of both. He was going for the shtick but I also think he was genuinely surprised Larry King would ask that question. Which to be fair to Seinfeld, he is right. Why would you ask such a dumb question.

Penacolli is a flippin Pervert!! WTF???
I hope he’s been fired.
Jasin Johnston I'm surprised they didn't bring up his gerbil incident back in the 80s and why he left Philadelphia. Maybe they are to young to even know the story.
No one cares about male underwear.... stupid feminist
I know - he said defensively said no way, when Scarlett asked him if he was going to ask Jeremy the same question about his underwear.. as if it’s an offensive question to ask a guy but totally acceptable to ask a woman..?
Jerry Seinfeld has always thought highly of himself.
He is the real deal. Compared to all the idiots out there, he is the best.
Especially since Larry said you cancelled them not them canceling you
@Wynn Jerry Seinfeld is a Billionaire. That's what he is.
I wish both Anne Hathaway and Scarlett Johansson had gone even harder on Penacolidiot he deserved to be brought down several pegs on national t.v.... and Renner should have just observed.
I think that Renner should have jumped in on Johansson's behalf. "Hey, Penacoli! *_I_* wasn't wearing any underwear under my Hawkeye suit! Does that make you _horny?"_
...something like that. :-D
Renner should have either sided with ScarJo, or shut up at all
@@slonmish He should have knocked out that creep and kicked him around the studio. A bust jaw and broken ribs would have taught that gastropod a few basics about interview techniques, and how to treat a lady. She might not have needed such intervention, but it would have been the gallant thing to do.
Bellerophon challen I like your gentleman ways :)
Clearly the interviewer is a massive pervert!
The Rashida Jones is incredibly awkward.
"How do you always look tanned?"
"Well... my father is black so, you know, that helps"
It was a dumb question. Ask dumb questions, get dumb answers.
The later is probably why some celebrities flip their $hit when asked certain Q's.
well the dumb blonde was not hired for her interviewing skills. Note to VP's who hire entetainment 'reporters' because of their looks.
😂
That Penacoli guy shouldn't be working on this field at all. Verybbad interviewing skills.
Penacoli. What a stupid name.
He is an idiot, totally not a real journalist.
He works on a really cheesy mid morning talk show broadcasted in the Tampa area now.
I've always liked Rashida Jones.
Because of her perfect tan?
@@applejack2911 🤣🤣
Can we just appreciate Anne Hathaway’s reply tho?
JST Stuff and goods And ScarJo.
JST Stuff and goods kanye is a moron
Yes!!!
Weird.
@@markfox1545 Because I demand control and command over others, obviously
I respect many of the celebs in these clips for standing up for themselves in a firm way without being completely rude. What that interviewer said to Scarlett was incredibly misogynistic, ignorant and inappropriate. Also the “tans” comments to Jones.
You don't have to be nice to people who make you feel uncomfortable.
They can handle themselves, Alyssa.
And sorry, but it being the same guy who asked AH something similar is not a coincidence- pervey creep
You look so tan and tropical 😂
Anne Hathaway replied so perfectly
I would have continued.
Kai Young yes she did. Sienfield couldclearn a lesson.
It was so smart-alecky and smooth at the same time. She managed to be as polite as possible in an awkward situation.
There's not much that Anne Hathaway does that isn't perfect. Incredible talent.
Are you trying to fit into a cat suit lmfao
Penacoli is a creep...
AMEN!!
I'm sure he wouldn't like someone bringing up that gerbil incident
Jerry Seinfeld behaved extremely poorly. Larry merely asked a question in order to inform the audience. His gigantic ego must be making up for a short coming somewhere else.
are we talking shrinkage ?
@ yeah I think he's been in the pool for a long time...
He was being funny. Its hilarious
Cameron Crawford hey someone gets it! Did no one watch him trying not to smile the entire time? Woosh. Right over this channels head.. and most viewers. 🤦♂️
Who is Seinfeld
Anne Hathaway handled that interview beautifully.
BECK C.D. Right? I felt that claw back. That man was too preoccupied with her body etc.
I think she had something up her butt the moment he started to talk about her shape. And I know why, it's cause she was tired that people kept talking about how much weight she lost. I think the interviewer should have been more frank instead of turning around the subject.
She was hella funny 🤗
Hello dear, how are you doing?
I'll like to know more about you....
Katie's question was absolutely rude and unacceptable and it's good that she listened and apologized for it.
Anne was so classy about it, so was Tom
Kanye asking "How am i supposed to talk?" while a clip of him interrupting Taylor Swift is playing is one of the most ironic things i have EVER seen.
Imorysa Perez Holy shit! Good point!
Imorysa Perez right?! Well Kanye is an extreme narcissist so he only cares if he is being interrupted or embarrassed not what he does to others

I wonder if its possible to just let the clips play 😁
Search for the interviews yourself
This...
Costs too much money for the whole clip
@@itsjinxnow4814 its almost like thats why he came here, for a compilation, not an explanation.
Ann Hathaway handled that interview so well!
Not defending him but I think it's completely normal for interviewers asking these questions. Actors/ Actresses have the pressure to being in a certain physique to do the role, whether that's to gain a few pounds or lose it.
he got punked haha
I know right....
Naaah, I saw the original. Seinfeld was a jackass. Read what King said afterwards about it.
Ugh i don't get how people find Jerry Seinfeld funny.
I love the show, but don't find him funny as a comedian and he's not a good actor.
Me either.

That's weird
yeah I'm thinking the same thing. I'm surprised he isn't slammed with sexual harassment suit, because it obviously is what he's doing
Tineke Williams Agreed. He shouldn't be allowed to interview women anymore. Creep!
Love Anne Hathaway. "are you trying to fit into a catsuit?"
So Tom Hardy answered his question by proving it IS hard for celebs to talk about their sexuality. 😂
talk about? "no i dont think so". to roomful of strangers? "why". great spartan laconic answers. people don't think celebs are human beings
Proveď he's gay
Well, that's clearly not how Larry meant it. He was highlighting the fact that Jerry walked away from it.
Cream Of Weber j
I also think that was just Jerry being Jerry.
It certainly wasn't as sincere a moment as people make it out to be.
The whole interaction was probably scripted. It's pretty common for comedians to provide "pitches" in advance to interviewers which they can respond to. It was very common for Carson to set up gags for guests on his show by asking scripted "off-the-cuff" questions.
Jerry was having fun with that by the looks of it! I think the voice-over lady has made it into something it isn’t.

Because everyone needs to know who your parents are.
Boo Boo Exactly! Thank you! Tom Hardy was asked about his sexuality! They get it too. Everyone needs to stop getting so butthurt!
The world is beginning to see how woman naturally love to play the victim to get sympathy points.
If you think this is sexist, try listening to the Breakfast Club interviews...the male interviewer has no qualms about asking Niky Minaj if she is having sex.
i reaaaally loved how Ann Hathaway turned the question back to the interviewer!!! enough of talking about the bodies and shapes!!! well done!!
Anne DID that! Hahahah wowowow "you trying to get into a cat suit" 💀💀💀💀💀
Is that the same guy with Ann and Scarlet asking the sexist questions? Dude....learn your lesson
CthulhuOnCam lol yuup
CthulhuOnCam what's sexist about them...you flaunt your body and get paid $7.5 million...she knew what she looked like.
stormysocks spot on
stormysocks I would agree it wasn’t necessarily sexist, but it for sure was totally creepy, weird, and inappropriate. Like, who asks someone about wether they are wearing underwear or not?
CthulhuOnCam he’s a perv.
Love Anne Hathaway's way of shutting him down
They ask every guy who does a super hero role what they did, and even ate to get into shape. She should never of been cast. She is too thin skinned.
Dumb interviewers ask that.
Christian Bales transformations are extensively documented by journalists, including for that very film. Her hostility to the question is ridiculous.
The irony that Kanye did not want to be interrupted while he was talking, FOH!!!
Larry King disrespected Seinfeld with that stupid question. 💯
Oh so Kanye hates to be interrupted? 😂😂😂 How ironic!
😂😂😂
I think they did it on purpose to show him how it feels tbh, probably went over his head though.
hehe I didn't realize the irony brilliant response.
Carla Reynosa just pooped
HA Right??! 🤣🤐
"Do you know who I am?" Seinfeld HAD to be joking when he said that. It's just too cliche to be a serious question.
Kaylee F who is he anyway?
tange2000 He was (and still is, I guess) a successful stand up comedian who had an extremely popular sitcom named after and starring him. His show was a big deal in the 90s.
Kaylee F You're pretty cute 👌
I don't see it as rude if they were friends and he was joking around/pulling his leg. Just more depth than most the audience is aware of
I've seen that interview, and Larry was uncomfortable with Seinfield's reaction.
Hathaway is such a polite woman tbh, she did her best to change the subject without being rude
Thanks for sharing.
King wasn't out of line, he said, "They didn't cancel you, you canceled them". That's a statement, it was accurate. Seinfeld over reacted.

Sheesh, Penacoli. Nobody would ask a male actor if he was wearing underwear under a costume. What a creep.
Zoe Tuinman True but that's just cause no one cares
McBubbleslvl900 - That's exactly my point.
So Obvious He is A Creepy Pervert When he's Constantly Asking Numerous actresses About What they are wearing underneath those form-fitting costumes .
Zoe Tuinman what is penocoli trying to prove...?
All she had to say was yes or no. It was a simple question. Don't know why she had to make a such a big deal out of it.
Sky Marshall it’s not just guys, either.

Epilepdick how?
Jerry has a long history of being an asshole. I don’t think it was just a isolated incident
The Stuport Seinfeld wasn’t being rude. If you thought he was you just don’t get it.
The Stuport laying in to king? For gods sake quit trying to make it in to something it isn’t. This is bullshit.
*Hardy:* "Are you asking me about _my_ sexuality?"
*Interviewer:* "Well...yes."
*Hardy:* "Why?"
*Interviewer:* "Because I sometimes fantasize about you taking _me_ up in your big, strong, steely arms and holding me close as you carry me into the sauna for..."
*Hardy:* "...uhhh...right. We should...we should probably move on now."
*Interviewer:* "...yes. That would probably be best. So...do you have any other roles lined up yet?"
Do you want to fit in a cat suit 😂😂😂
Seinfeld is just a rude person in general with a huge ego. 🙄
@BN I agree, just dry humor.
Ava Funderburk That's his sarcastic humor. He roasts people for laughs. Larry King has 0 sense of humor.
He really is. I've heard so many bad stories about him and what a psycho he is
Nine out of ten woman have no ability to recognize humor.
Ava Funderburk it was a joke
Jerry Penacoli is creepy
Poor Anne Hathaway. She was SO trying to not say the “wrong” thing because she’s well aware that one little mistake will get her cancelled. Sad…can’t even say being in shape is BEING IN SHAPE
Larry King didn't ask a question. He made statement and asked for confirmation. He was clearly doing this for the benefit of the audience. Jerry Seinfeld reaction sounded very much like he was doing a comedic riff pretending he had been slighted.
You’re right, watching this clip in whole it’s pretty obvious he’s joking
Yeah, Seinfeld is doing a bit, damn people can be pretty stupid interpreting these videos.
I agree
Interviewing actors about their underwear or genitalia is unquestionably highly inappropriate.
I 100% agree, it's so disrespectful!
Yeah, that guy is seriously creepy. I'm disappointed that her co-star didn't have her back.
her co-star was probably also curious LOL ... not saying it's appropriate ... just saying
and then her coworker encourages her to answer the question..? So inconsiderate, throwing her under the bus like that
It was definitely uncalled for, but I think he was uncomfortable with the awkwardness and just wanted to get it over with. notice the awkward laughing and the way he keeps finding other ways to distract himself like looking at his wrist or away from the two arguing people.
A lot of these weren’t even as bad as they described them to be. And please let the clips play and stop pausing them 56 times to reflect, we understand what’s happening.
Katrina Szwajkowska I think they might have to do that for fair use to apply.
😂😂
I’d really rather just watch the interviews without commentary every ten seconds
Anne Hathaway was perfect 😂👏🏽
Ann Hathaway was the best: are you trying to lose weight? Are you trying to fit into a catsuit? Savage!
Odd they only picked questions at women though. Seen female interviews be just as body focused on men's outfits and bodies at times.
@BlackKnight101 It's been an issue for a long time. Male actors will get the interesting questions about their characters and their acting style, while female actors are asked questions about their outfits, underwear, and (if they're a mom) how they balance working and being a mom.
Anne Hathaway's response was wayyy elegant and clever. I would've ripped that interviewer a new one.
I’ve never seen such rude and insensitive interviewers in my life. 7:59
I wish you didnt describe what they did right before showing the clip. You even pause the clip to explain exactly what happens next before showing it. Why? Why?
To hit that sweet 10 minute mark for more revenue money
She has a special voice that deaf people can hear
Marissa Does Things: It's because she assumes everybody else has the same level of intelligence as her
Because, as PT Barnum or HL Mencken may have said, nobody ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the American public. If you want to maximize your click revenue, you have to explain everything so the Tide Pod people can understand it.
This video would have been better without the unnecessary commentary
But how else do you expect them to get it past that precious 10 min mark??
It’s so they can actually claim it as their own content. That way they can make money from someone else’s work.
oh, interesting.
That Seinfeld reaction was not a genuine response, it was shtick. He was going for the dry humor, and Larry King was in on it.
Hmmm a little bit of both. He was going for the shtick but I also think he was genuinely surprised Larry King would ask that question. Which to be fair to Seinfeld, he is right. Why would you ask such a dumb question.
Well hes not a good comedian so it would make sense his "shtick" just came off as ego and pride
Agree. If you've ever seen Seinfeld's show or his standup, it's obvious that he was playing up his reaction. He wasn't being rude or boasting.
jerry was literally joking about everything he was saying. He is a good comedian as evident in your lack of understanding and the joke going over your head, dolt
+Colin Karnes exactly! I'm assuming most of these commenters are 12 years old and don't understand sarcasm.
