Exactly, you don't know it's an issue, I mean how could you, so it's really important in my mind to start everyone from a good zero. Front tyres can get flat spots especially on their cornering bits say, happened to me on the fz6 and felt awful! 14 years old oooffff riding on bricks :D Well I hope they help :) It's a lovely bike and will also be a nice commuter for me as they're uber reliable and good on fuel :) Nah I also want to leave it mostly standard, a luggage rack and possibly some soft throw over bags would be nice tho!! It's crazy because I found your channel because when looking on FB marketplace, I saw a Falco for a very good price and wanted research a little. Excellent information, excellent video. I have a '93 750 Nighthawk, US spec. I'm considering increasing the rear sprocket only. 16/17 tooth. Hyway riding is my thing. Sound ok to you? Can I put shorter shocks on the rear without compromising handling? I'm 5'5. I've lowered the seat a bit. Would like just another inch and a bit. Opinions wanted. Thank you. Love your videos. Their among the best I've seen.
Glad you liked it. The rear wouldn't be 16/17 or do you mean you have that as a front sprocket? For the rear you want to drop a few teeth from stock if you're looking for a lower cruising rpm. If you have a 16/17 up front that should be good though as the stock is 15 from memory. Well done Toaster must be the first remark! 👍 A rack. A chrome sports rack. Useful, can look good. What else could it need? Two questions. Where is the traffic? Where are the corners? Are you getting used to be on the wrong side of the road yet? A good ramble. A welcome return. Dinner hasn't been the same without you.
Thanks Stephen! A nice rack for bags would be very good, get the backpack off my back as well when I'm using the CB. Nothing else really eh! Maybe some throwover bags. Traffic is very low when you don't use the main roads, low population density. The corners are missing in my commute area, because it's so empty and flat they could just build them straight. The wrong side of the road has never bothered me tbh, my brain switches in seconds. Haha well thank you, glad you like them :) I'm also glad Mr Chewie is pleased :)

She is very pleased :) I am delighted for her I know we'll have a blast. Yeah CBs are just reliable old work horses. Yeah absolutely, it definitely played in to my decision that once I got boots on the ground here I went off the KLR 650. Roads are fast and open here. Oh I've always liked those bikes! I must check it out, I'm about a billion years behind on everything cus of moving. Yeah it'd not be happy here. Hopefully man :)
As I recall, she was being a cameraman in a video and you just didn't want to say her name at the time and Toaster was the first word that popped into your head. 😆
What, no Super Magna! You're now in the land of Super Magnas; hell, you can find yourself the black unicorn: 88 black super! Anyway, I know how attached you were to the blue one and here, across the pond, there's more of them--many in great shape with low to moderate mileage!!
Believe it or not I nearly had one but the fella decided he didn't want to sell it after all which is a pity. Not as easy to come across as you'd imagine though! I also wouldn't over pay as with their age they'll always need some work!
Thank you sir :) He was, he was inches from my ass moments before for absolutely no reason. Oh 100% let them off to get stuck behind someone else eh. Clowns.
I think on the CB I might change the bars a bit just from the look of them. Of course I'd have to try them, but maybe a little closer to the seat would be more comfy looking. Other than that you need a big ole sissy bar on the back!
It actually suits me in that shape as I can move around and lean back and forward etc, plus they fit Toaster well there, it'll be nigh on impossible to optimise the bike for both of us perfectly anyway as she's over a foot shorter than me and half my weight :D I definitely want some sort of luggage rack :P
Squishy brake lines suck... but I don't mind having non-braided lines if they work fine. The Victory is quite a bike, have heard good things about them. Hah.... crabs, and pustules! 😀 Love that the truck literally still got to the junction at the same time as you! 😀 [hi five] to Toaster 🙂 I'd probably keep it quite stock, maybe a tail tidy now you are in the land of sunshine!
Oh yeah I'd happily put on brand new rubber lines too but the fact that braided ones last longer and are the same price are a no brainer since these ones are goosed anyway :) I've heard many good things about them, hopefully I can get my down payment sorted and get the bike :) I think it'd be cool to try one! Haha at the same time and has crabs now :P poor auld chap. She high fives you back! Oh it's staying very stock, I like it how it is. One mod for the cb750.. trade it, you meet the strangest people on a Honda. I've ridden a victory highball and that 106 pulls like a freight train and it fits a taller person well. My only concern would be there ability to find parts since victory became Indian and not sure if the same parts are used in the engines.
Aaaaabsolutely not I like my old Hondas :P Yeah I've only heard good things and my amigo Hatter test rode it for me so it sounds like a good deal! They are supporting parts until 2027 at least so I'm ok with that risk, I'm sure with the amount of them out there there'll be some support anyway. Can't be worse than all the old bikes I've owned(hopefully)
Makes me chuckle how you get excited about a rare wide corner🤣. You must be missing the twisties like crazy. At least big cruisers make sense out there. Enjoy
The commute is wicked dull to be fair. Found a few nice roads that aren't far away though so not so bad, but I do miss Irish roads a lot!!! Yeah they do and hopefully I'll like it if I do get one!
Gz Toaster. 👍:))) Awesome to be out on a ride seeing the wife through the mirrors. First there has been some fear after a roundabout or if we came out of a junction if she is still there but she learns fast... well she is not that much of an obstacle anymore. She did her test in July and did for now 3600km on black forest roads that is like 2200 miles on her 900cc... maybe that is like 5000 miles experience in the flat. ;) Being a fellow Biker she starts realizing the urgent need to have bikes in the garage... win win, yay! :D Not sure if the 750 it will be Toasters bike ask her? Wouldn't go bling, steel braided lines that you mentioned, squirrely back wouldn't be awesome for a beginner... if it's an issue, fix it. Some oxford heated grips, my wife loves toasty hands. No idea, gals r different from us (guess u already know). :)
Indeed! :) I am looking forward to getting out for spins with her :) Haha I'd say more like.....20,000 miles tbh, straight roads don't teach you much :P Haha absolutely. NEED more bikes. Nah nah nah nah she'll be using it, let's not get crazy about these decisions :) Braided lines on the front only, the rear brake is a drum. And firm brake feel is always safer and better than spongey imo. The service life of rubber lines is 2 years anyway so this one is literally unsafe. Heated grips here would be a waste :D
@@TheGorillaBiker don't say. Girls are alien. Mine is happy since she got saddle bags for the down jacket (just in case she needs) and the Thermo w tea and prefers heated grips over really useful things like a slipperclutch, decat, slipons,... First i hear is: uuh, did put it on 2, so toasty. :D
I like bikes anyway tbh, they're more fun no matter what way you cut it, but Irish roads are 10000 times better than here in fun-ness. The actual road surface quality not being terrible is nice though.
Hey GB good to see ya back mate hope all is going well over there for yus and big congrats to toaster on passing the old test hope ta see yus both out havin fun soonish . That CB750 will be just right for the mrs and I do like the look of the victory looks pretty cool a must for out there with then long straight roads I notice yer finding some right plums out there to ya just cant escape the buggers anywhere pointless twat .😉👌👍
Thanks bud, glad to be back making the videos :) I shall pass that on! She's just doing laps of the estate at the minute but I can't wait for the day we can shoot off across the country on bikes :) I've always wanted to try a big ol cruiser on for size so what better way than with a cool one and see how they go :D Ah he probably has crabs so that's on him. :D
They are a beauty of a bike. My only issue is the tallness, I've always preferred the lower sportsbike look, your bike for instance I like the stance of a lot :) I'll find something :)
Haha I can only import one bike tax free, and that'll be for me *if* I ever come back. At the way things are looking it's unlikely any time soon, I'd go to Germany, Italy or Australia first if I didn't want to stay here.
Sure its a Honda so what can go wrong. I can see why the yanks like cruisers when they have so many straight roads. Congrats to Toaster on passing her test.
Haha well my CBF1000 proves a couple of things really :P I miss that bike. Yeah 100%, cruise control and cruisers make sense over in parts here. I'm not far from properly nice roads though. Danke! I shall pass it on :)
Actually, Halloween, more specifically, Eve of all Hallows, All Saints Day and All Souls Day, is an ancient, worldwide tradition found in every major ancient civilization around the world, and it dates back to the last Ice Age during the Younger Dryas, and it actually commemorates meteors striking the earth and destroying it in floods and fire. The Taurids are most active on midnight of October 31, and the Leonids follow those meteors on November 17. The ancient imagery, stories and text from all around the world describe meteors from the Taurid meteors and Leonid meteors (from the comet Encke) that hit Earth and caused so much destruction that all who survived through that same mega-event wove the tale of it into their cultural fabric so we would never forget (the vast majority of humanity died in a short period of time due to fire and floods and starvation after the meteor strikes). Randall Carlson does a fantastic job of explaining it here: th-cam.com/video/ucn175R8WgY/w-d-xo.html
I will definitely look in to that later when I'm home and have a look at the video, but every history book I've ever read has said something along this lines "Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in). The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago, mostly in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1" also being Irish I'm of course going to lean towards Samhain being the one true king of origins stories :)
Toaster. She's hot & when she pops you out, you're done.🤣🤣 Sorry, it's my Cork humour. I couldn't resist. I bet she won't mind being called a toaster now. If you tell her this one.

Would Toaster want a screen?
So far no, but in the future on longer spins she may, definitely need some form of luggage too.
I thought I have been watching these roads, at least the landscape is familiar - and well, I know now why...
Why are you from NC?
@@TheGorillaBiker No no, I just have watched one TH-camr (Maikeli7) riding a Honda Gold Wing DCT (he had Harleys before) around those sceneries.
Bikes without corners is like apple crumble without custard.
I like bikes anyway tbh, they're more fun no matter what way you cut it, but Irish roads are 10000 times better than here in fun-ness. The actual road surface quality not being terrible is nice though.
Are your self and Toaster getting out for spins ?
She had to return to Ireland in November for family things, so currently no.
Hopefully soon ☺️
right hand traffic😲
Haha same as any traffic really 😂
Hey GB good to see ya back mate hope all is going well over there for yus and big congrats to toaster on passing the old test hope ta see yus both out havin fun soonish . That CB750 will be just right for the mrs and I do like the look of the victory looks pretty cool a must for out there with then long straight roads I notice yer finding some right plums out there to ya just cant escape the buggers anywhere pointless twat .😉👌👍
Thanks bud, glad to be back making the videos :) I shall pass that on! She's just doing laps of the estate at the minute but I can't wait for the day we can shoot off across the country on bikes :)
I've always wanted to try a big ol cruiser on for size so what better way than with a cool one and see how they go :D Ah he probably has crabs so that's on him. :D
@@TheGorillaBiker 🤣🤣
Get a Concours 1400.
I tried one on, and it sadly hurt my hip :(
@@TheGorillaBiker arghh. Ok. That’s no good. Honestly, if didn’t need pillion comfort I’d have probably bought the MT09 Tracer. It is a beast.
They are a beauty of a bike. My only issue is the tallness, I've always preferred the lower sportsbike look, your bike for instance I like the stance of a lot :) I'll find something :)
@@TheGorillaBiker The height was perfect. Reminded me of riding the old dirt bikes. Also the tiger 1050 Sport. So comfy.
I’d upgrade the engine of the CB with a 1352 cc Kawasaki engine 😉
Hahaha that would be an absolute monster to be fair!!
When you're coming back to Ireland, could you bring me home a red 1988 magna super. I'll pay you when you get back. Thanks 🤣🤣
Haha I can only import one bike tax free, and that'll be for me *if* I ever come back. At the way things are looking it's unlikely any time soon, I'd go to Germany, Italy or Australia first if I didn't want to stay here.
And there it is folks...at around the 6.44 mark...the first "y'all" American twang of the newly yankified GorillaBiker. 😂
Hahahaha oh please I've darn tuttin always used the word y'all
@@TheGorillaBiker oh I know you have...but never before with that slight Southern drawl 🤠🤠🤠
@@kazawhaki60 I feel you may be imagining things :P
So why do you call her Toaster?
Closed my eyes, spun in a circle and then it was the first thing I saw.
Toaster. She's hot & when she pops you out, you're done.🤣🤣 Sorry, it's my Cork humour. I couldn't resist. I bet she won't mind being called a toaster now. If you tell her this one.
I would debate it being “Cork humour”. I know many people from the Rebel County and, unlike this comment, they’re actually funny.
Serious creep vibes here, chief.
Nah yeah that's weird.
Get the z900!!!!!
Sadly I'll be getting nattin extra now for a while, have to fly home for reasons.
@@TheGorillaBiker I hear ya, I’ve barely used my bike this past year, life gets in the way
Harley Davidson are heavy rust buckets that are made pretty bad
Ah I don't know about that! A lot of people have crazy miles on most Harleys. Comes down to how they're cared for as with anything
@@TheGorillaBiker if you take apart a second hand harley ud be surprised! Just how much rust is on them and the unnecessary huge chuncks of metal on those bikes. Aftermarket stuff is day light robbery.
Go Toaster 👍
Some going eh!
