Have RT have 6×9 RF won't sit all the way down. Do I need to cut something?

Hope you don't mind, I have read when replacing the 6x9's that the Boston's are not as "tall" and some cutting is required to fit any new 6x9's, 1) Did you find this to be the case and 2) Are there lower profile 6x9's that will fit without cutting into my car? I'm a disabled dad and my back can't handle more than a few minutes for the swap. Thanks kindly

Add any strengthening or internal padding, as it is basically a plastic speaker box ?

New 6x9s dont fit exactly on the SXT, u will need to grind the metal bracket and open up the hole....frustrating!!

Oversized 6x9" may give you a problem, our SXT didn't have that issue with lower end Kenwoods.

If your put the wrong wires together will you still get sound ?

the speaker will beat backwards and kill the coil sooner then not.

you can if you don't have a harness adapter and just want to wire it directly.

are the front door speakers 6x9 also?

The driver side is for sure, occasionally the passenger front door speaker can be a 6.5" speaker (which is still odd why Dodge / Chrysler decided to do that). I have a link in the description for that video.

I have 05 magnum r/t with Boston Acoustics 276 watt amp Door speakers are round 6.5" rear are 6x9

I bought 6x9's thinking I was going to put them in the front but after taking apart the door I found they were also 6.5's so I guess I will see if they fit in the back.

No it had been replaced.These were also running of an amp.
