Hi Dustin Wong I hope you having a great 👍 time ever 💙 in Vietnam
HOMELAND, are there gender for country?
@@dvanga why does it bother you so much, it is not that serious
Beacuse they r born out of that place .. so its a mother @@dvanga
I'm envious of your relationship with your dad... feel like I have a lot of making up to do to my own dad.
💝😘🤗
Yeah. We must cherish moments with our parents. Traveling with them is so much fun. Especially traveling to their hometown. They have so much stories to share.
@@Tloc103only fun until they kick you out for being gay
The winx stickers on the wall iconic actually
haha they’ve been there for the longest time
I have stopped watching vlogs whatsoever because they always felt fake or super repetitive... this one was so sweet, and authentic and nice! thank you for sharing this with us 🥺
True 👍
That's why I always Livestream LIVE on my TH-cam channel lol
that is exactly what i think
Agreed. It feels so genuine, authentic, raw and sweet.
This vlog is so beautiful. It reminds me of when I visited my grandmother in Puerto Rico. I spent most of my time in the mountains, lounging in a hammock surrounded by nature, enjoying great coffee, a good book, and beautiful sounds. Watching this video brings back memories of when I saw the film “The Scent of Green Papaya”; it evokes that same serene environment. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but the Vietnamese people I've met seem very similar to the people of my culture. We both are very persistent, cherish our culture, and do everything we can to find happiness and survive. That’s to say, I really admire the Vietnamese people, and I hope to visit Vietnam one day. It looks very peaceful and inspiring.
this has me crying in the school library bc of how beautifully it captures the atmosphere and feelings of being in the countryside in Vietnam TOT thank you for the video!!
Side note/observation-when you guys first arrived, at 3 AM, to your grandparents' house, I just have to say that the sparkle on those floors is impeccable. 💖 Sooo shiny, polished & clean. Makes me want to go clean my room asap. Lol.
Love your Vietnam videos so much. Would love to have an outdoor bathroom like the one in your hotel. And the boat vendors! Amazing! 💚 Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. Missing Theo though. 😜
Watching this makes me miss my dad. I lost him in a motorcycle accident in 2007. Your dad is so sweet and being able to travel with him is such a gift for you. ❤❤❤
I’ve seen lots of videos of people of Vietnamese origin visiting Vietnam, and this one is just unmatched! Even born and raised in Vietnam, but I barely find peace around the corner like how it’s portrayed in this video. You indeed gave me a second chance to embrace and love my surroundings
I'm Vietnamese living in Hanoi but it's also my first time view these scenes of my country. All of them are really peaceful tho TvT
Thank you to travel me around like this
Benji, you must have been in heaven with all of the local plants. Beautiful trip. I went to the floating market in Bangkok in 1972. Very similar but a much narrower waterway. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Hello Benji, I watch your videos but have never commented. I love your Vietnam vlogs so much. My husband and I got to go to Vietnam several years ago and it's our most favourite place ever. I love the people and of course Vietnam. Thank you for sharing Vietnam with us again. I love the relationship you have with your dad, it's so lovely. Take care Benji
why it feels like cozy documentary everything looks perfect i enjoyed i wish it was longer
watching your Vietnam vlogs is just something so special to me Benji 😭. I mean i'm Vietnamese but this such a cool perspective!!
Great to see a bit of Vietnam. You Dad and whole family seem lovely 😁
Visited Vietnam last November 2023 with my family. It was wonderful to see your grandparents home in the countryside. Mornings when you can open the doors and windows are the best. As a child traveling to the Caribbean for visits with my grandparents was so similar - mornings with typical food for breakfast and the buzz of family moving around. Memories which will last you your lifetime!
Thank you for sharing your Vietnam and family in this vlog.
This makes me so homesick, I grew up in Saigon and those pink fruits were in our backward (I loved eating them with salt!) Also the boats are so nostalgic to me I lived near a river bed and used to think the boats with the eyes painted on the front were scary haha 😅 how I miss the motherland 💖💖💖💖
It’s always those little things that make us miss home, I miss mine too ❤️
This video is actually the cutest thing I've watch today. As a Vietnamese it's good to see Viet Nam through another lens and after watching it, I miss my family so much now, it feels like I'm back to my hometown again
I decided to learrn vietnamese this year wish me luck 😁
Me too!! I’m getting one on one private tutoring. I’ve decided it’s time for me to learn it. Wish me luck too haha
@@benjiplant good luck ✨ chúc may mắn

This video is so powerful for me! I married a Hmong person, and I can see so many similarities in the cultures! Community, love, caring, and food! Hope your trip is rewarding, inspiring, and peace filled!
was feeling very stressed with my dissertation today but am so delighted to see a blessed benjiplant upload! thank you for always providing calm vibes in a busy world
Amazing. I would love to travel to Vietnam someday. The water market looks wonderful. It reminded me of the riverside community in the heart of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, my country. Its very humble but stunning, amazing people, culture and food. Time seems to move different there and thats the vibe I got from your vlog too. We may be divided by kilometers, oceans and borders but we more in common than we think. Love it!
This feels so sweet to watch, you going to Vietnam and how your family spends time together ❤ thanks for taking time to capture and share this while traveling with family !
Nothing like being with family in the motherland 🫶
I love your Vietnam vlogs sooo much
You're so lucky to still have your grandparents ♡ lovely video
I so hear you on moisturizer when its hot and humid. I'm from the southern US and in the summer , it just all slides right off!😂. Also can identify with your mosquito dilemma. They love me , too. In July and August I rarely venture outside before sunrise and after sunset. Even with repellent, it only takes SECONDS for them to find me? 🦟 You hair also gets wavier in the humidity just like mine. Loved that bathroom in the eco-cabin. That was gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your cousins wedding with us. and explaining the rituals. ❤
your Vietnam vlogs are so heartwarming ❤
You being able to hang out with your dad is such a blessing! My dad died when I was very young. I miss him dearly.
Loved this Video, it made me miss my Grandma. Theres nothing like a Grandmas Cooking, Love, Hug & her Spoiling U while there on vacation.
The best time & memories ever❤
☀️I cant stand the heat or humidity🌿 but really enjoyed All the greenery & 🍀how U tried everything offered to U🌿
Thank U for sharing Benji...
So cool your video is so peaceful and fascinated. In many videos about traveling to Vietnam, your video brings us the most reality from the mosquitoes, local homestay, water apple to the floating market and Hue beef noodle soup.
this is so wholesome..! Thanks for sharing this with us
Dad has a great sense of humor! Love him!
I love when we get Dad content lol he’s just the best
can really see what gave him his inspiration. the home just looked nice before but now it's a small part of viet nam in LA
What a wonderful way to spend time with your Dad and family. I love your parents 😊
I’m so happy you went back and shared it with us again!!! I loved the first Vietnam series you posted. Well produced video!! Peace and love brother.
i went last summer to visit my grandparent in the countryside of vietnam as well. this video made me all remember it all and miss it so much. the colour grading and this entire videos is amazing! seriously made me starting to tear up!! thanks for sharing benji :) hope you had a blast!
I'm not sure why but this video made me cry! So much beauty and culture that I don't get to experience or appreciate here in america very often.
bro just make me feel relax and chill after watching your vlog
Looks like you're having so much fun spending time with your family Benji. The cities and countryside there is very beautiful.
❤ the homeland hits different
This is so beautiful and truthful ! authentic too ! Also as soon as you said "makes me feel like a princess" i thought i gotta be this dudes friend
your travel vlogs just give off the best vibes! they're always so well-made and comforting :) can;t wait for pt. 2!!!
What a beautiful country, it's amazing that you can visit there and see everything and explore, I hope you had fun!
Loved your travelled blocks. The way you edit it’s so calm and beautiful. 😻
Benji, This is the first video of yours that I have watched. TH-cam presented it on my wall. I find this video of yours to be joyful serenity. Thank you for sharing your time with your family in Vietnam with us.
Vietnam looks so beautiful, I hope one day I’ll be able to see it myself but for now I’ll live vicariously through vlogs! Thank you for sharing such precious memories with us.
I am glad you had a good time with your father's side of the family. I hope you and father have or had a safe journey home.
thank you for sharing much precious family moments
I loved to seeing the wedding and the floating market.
I always look forward to your videos including your dad. He reminds me of my dad so much…He passed a few years ago and I find comfort in watching your vlogs. Thank you ❤
your vietnam video from staying with your grandparents last year is one of my favourite videos ever so im rly excited for this one!
your dad is the sweetest. This is a very healing vlog. Thank you Benji
That was so good! Thanks very much for sharing! It just took me to my birth place which I can't travel so easily, so brought tears to my eyes! Thanks vey much for sharing and happy travelling!
Great to see you in Vietnam again. I met you through the video you went to Vietnam this time last year, so I'm happy that I can watch the trip again this year.
Your dad has a sense of humor and YOU have a sense of being CUTE
Luv your videos so much ✨
The self-heating shower set-up is so cool! I've never seen anything like that before.
hi benji! i stumbled on this video randomly but just want to say very well done! it's so lovely to see you spend time with family, definitely makes me miss sri lanka and my cousins there. i learned a lot about vietnamese culture and enjoyed your film shots :) your dad filming is so cute haha
Your father has such a wonderful sense of humor🥰
Ahh family, always something going on even when you think the day will be quiet. I am more like you and prefer quieter days, but then you spent the day at the floating market and I was in heaven (does that make sense?) I guess I'm an introverted-extrovert (more introvert🤭) I like new places and seeing how people live especially but need time alone to recharge. ANYWAY this trip looks wonderful. The traditional wedding to the lovely cottage getaway with out door shower. I've had outdoor showers in Hawaii and the USVI, they can be very relaxing with the sky above and plant and stone around you. Thank you Benji for sharing your trip (Sorry my comment is all over the place)
Your videos are so relaxing and peaceful!
man i felt like crying throughout the whole video, it reminded me so much of my childhood. and even tho i am home right now, times have changed so much.
I missed you benji :!
I never thought I'd this video as much as I did.
I really like the simple descriptive subtitles : you just let us enjoy the scenery and the commentary was minimalistic,
Thank you :)
Aesthetic and comfort 🩶🤍
Dễ thương ghê. Làm mình nhớ quê ngoại quá ❤️ thank you
Got so habitual of seeing Chris in every video of yours that without him it feels a lil incomplete 🤍🤍 but sooo pretty Vietnam
Can Tho is my hometown, I'm glad you love it. Randomly saw you video on recommendation and it is quite peaceful
That was simply wonderful , I am so glad to have found your channel and your lovely family
Benji you are such a talented videographer. You made this look like a mini movie/docu series. The filter, music and how you edit your videos makes them so magical and relaxing to watch!
Benji, thank you for taking us on the trip with you. It was very interesting. I love your channel.
Watch your video is so relax! And i'm a Vietnamese too.
That shower outside is soooooo dreamy🤩🤩🤩
Your dad is so funny. Nice video, thank you.❤❤
Just discovered your channel & love love your videos. I’m traveling at the moment and have been in Vietnam for 1 month. I love it here, the food is amazing!
The cabin by the river was so beautiful. The bathroom was amazing 😀🇨🇦
This so magical! Thank you for sharing your experience with us! And I LOVE your dad he is such a character. You two are a great combination and how you lovingly interact with each other. ❤❤❤
your dad is so sweet
It's incredible how familiar everything in this video seemed to me, and it's on the other side of the globe!
It's understandable to have similar weather in countries of similar latitudes, but every little thing (except food) was very relatable to latin people close to a rain forest, for sure!
Lots of love from Brasil 🇧🇷
Wow, just wow, how u captured each moment, it made me nostalgic for a country i’ve still never been to, thank u so much
The wedding couple are very beautiful. The ceremony is very different and seems nice. Families presenting gifts and respect ❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing your family with us.
What a lovely family you have…. Vietnam 🇻🇳 is lovely country.been there many times.
watching your little cousin play ipad for an hour, such a mood
the kitchen gave me major nostalgia of my grandparents kitchen in durango mx 😢😭
This warmed my heart
You have such a sweet family
Wow, Benji! What a wonderful trip to Vietnam with Dad! Totally different vacation vibe, but I do respect its culture! Loved the floating market trip and seeing fruit, flowers, vegetables grown in your own backyard or porch(?) You did a great job capturing family time and the preparation for the beautiful wedding. Very much enjoyed the video!
Прекрасное путешествие! Вы большой молодец, что позволили нам с вами побыть с вами во Вьетнаме!🙏🙏🙏
I was attracted by the thumbnail of this video, expected for something cozy n chilling and turned out it's beyond it. Seeing you being around your big family made me miss the time I was at my grandparents' house every Tet holiday, we got lot of things to do together, foods everywhere haha, but I haven't come back there when both of them passed away. Btw this whole video is a vibe.
2:40 the wonderful TP for every facially related need! ❤❤
Love that you are forming so many memories with your dad. Thank you for explaining the wedding traditions. So fascinating. Vietnam reminds me so much of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 where I am from (now living in San Diego, CA). I would take like 3 showers at time cause I hated the humidity. Ugh. And the mosquitoes, they were like airplanes. They say they sell a soap you shower with weeks before to help. Guavas are my favorite, the ones over there are huge! And there was a green round fruit by that ladder that looked like our panapens (bread fruit). …oh, and a coffee and soup boat?! I would never leave!
You captured so authentically the ambience of living in the countryside of VN, adding some lightness and romantic, daydreaming feel to it❤
Have as many conversations with your grandpa as you can. talk about everything and anything.
There are so many conversations I wish I had with my grandma (the only grand I knew of the four). All conversations I have in my head. I see her house perfectly. Her chair. The sound of her voice. The way she looked. I start a question. But there's no answer because I don't know how she'd answer.
have those conversations when you can. While you still can.
Beautiful vlog! It’s inspiring me to record when I go to Mexico with my family 🥰 also at 10:37 I recommended putting the bottle at the nape of your neck it’s a spot of your body that regulates body temperature so if the area is cool then the rest of your body will feel cooler, try it out!
seeing your vlog on Vietnam made me miss my family back in Thailand. Pho for breakfast always hits the spot.
theres something so peaceful in your videos that i cant explain
Your dad is so precious ✨❤️
Thank you for you vlogs benji, they always make me feel so at peace ❤️🍃
Thank you so much for filming your trip to Vietnam! I always enjoy it when you post about what life is like over there.
You look so happy. It is a joy to see you smile.
