The music choice, the atmosphere, the colour grading, and his voice?! Damn it's so pretty.
By the way, if anyone wanna go to Vietnam, keep this in mind: there are only 2 seasons: hot and hotter.
From a local 💖
In the South we have 2 seasons but in the North we have 4 seasons
True.
you never been to Houston then
During my last trip to Vietnam we went to Hanoi in April and I was actually cold! I was shocked bc I assumed it would be similar to the south in terms of weather lol. I had to go out and buy a jacket which isn’t something I ever thought I’d need to do in Vietnam.
@@benjiplant True, especially with the strange climate, winter in the north feels really weird.
THE MOTHERLANDDD
you should go too please and vlog
Hi Dustin Wong I hope you having a great 👍 time ever 💙 in Vietnam
HOMELAND, are there gender for country?
@@fw2o2jt why does it bother you so much, it is not that serious
As someone who hasn’t travelled, your vlogs of your journeys fascinate me. You so beautifully capture all the environments you’re in. Always look forward to your next video. Your trip to Vietnam looks simply awesome.
I'm envious of your relationship with your dad... feel like I have a lot of making up to do to my own dad.
💝😘🤗
Yeah. We must cherish moments with our parents. Traveling with them is so much fun. Especially traveling to their hometown. They have so much stories to share.
The winx stickers on the wall iconic actually
haha they’ve been there for the longest time
I have stopped watching vlogs whatsoever because they always felt fake or super repetitive... this one was so sweet, and authentic and nice! thank you for sharing this with us 🥺
True 👍
That's why I always Livestream LIVE on my TH-cam channel lol
that is exactly what i think
Side note/observation-when you guys first arrived, at 3 AM, to your grandparents' house, I just have to say that the sparkle on those floors is impeccable. 💖 Sooo shiny, polished & clean. Makes me want to go clean my room asap. Lol.
Love your Vietnam videos so much. Would love to have an outdoor bathroom like the one in your hotel. And the boat vendors! Amazing! 💚 Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. Missing Theo though. 😜
Watching this makes me miss my dad. I lost him in a motorcycle accident in 2007. Your dad is so sweet and being able to travel with him is such a gift for you. ❤❤❤
this has me crying in the school library bc of how beautifully it captures the atmosphere and feelings of being in the countryside in Vietnam TOT thank you for the video!!
I’ve seen lots of videos of people of Vietnamese origin visiting Vietnam, and this one is just unmatched! Even born and raised in Vietnam, but I barely find peace around the corner like how it’s portrayed in this video. You indeed gave me a second chance to embrace and love my surroundings
I involuntarity cried watching your vlog because my hometown northeastern part of India literally looks like this, and while I love being in a big metro city there's no place like HOOME and its peacefulness. I would definitely travel to viet one day.
This makes me so homesick, I grew up in Saigon and those pink fruits were in our backward (I loved eating them with salt!) Also the boats are so nostalgic to me I lived near a river bed and used to think the boats with the eyes painted on the front were scary haha 😅 how I miss the motherland 💖💖💖💖
Benji, you must have been in heaven with all of the local plants. Beautiful trip. I went to the floating market in Bangkok in 1972. Very similar but a much narrower waterway. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
watching your Vietnam vlogs is just something so special to me Benji 😭. I mean i'm Vietnamese but this such a cool perspective!!
Hello Benji, I watch your videos but have never commented. I love your Vietnam vlogs so much. My husband and I got to go to Vietnam several years ago and it's our most favourite place ever. I love the people and of course Vietnam. Thank you for sharing Vietnam with us again. I love the relationship you have with your dad, it's so lovely. Take care Benji
how special, thank you for letting us join you on this trip
I'm Viet, and grew up in Canada, I was always self-conscious about showing the culture in the homeland. It was great that you were not afraid to show this side of yourself and where you came from. Respect.
I love your Vietnam vlogs sooo much
I love your footage and how thoughtful you are with the content. Thanks!
Benji, This is the first video of yours that I have watched. TH-cam presented it on my wall. I find this video of yours to be joyful serenity. Thank you for sharing your time with your family in Vietnam with us.
Visited Vietnam last November 2023 with my family. It was wonderful to see your grandparents home in the countryside. Mornings when you can open the doors and windows are the best. As a child traveling to the Caribbean for visits with my grandparents was so similar - mornings with typical food for breakfast and the buzz of family moving around. Memories which will last you your lifetime!
Thank you for sharing your Vietnam and family in this vlog.
Great to see a bit of Vietnam. You Dad and whole family seem lovely 😁
I love when we get Dad content lol he’s just the best
why it feels like cozy documentary everything looks perfect i enjoyed i wish it was longer
was feeling very stressed with my dissertation today but am so delighted to see a blessed benjiplant upload! thank you for always providing calm vibes in a busy world
So cool your video is so peaceful and fascinated. In many videos about traveling to Vietnam, your video brings us the most reality from the mosquitoes, local homestay, water apple to the floating market and Hue beef noodle soup.
I decided to learrn vietnamese this year wish me luck 😁
Me too!! I’m getting one on one private tutoring. I’ve decided it’s time for me to learn it. Wish me luck too haha
@@benjiplant good luck ✨ chúc may mắn

Dad has a great sense of humor! Love him!
Your dad is so funny. Nice video, thank you.❤❤
your Vietnam vlogs are so heartwarming ❤
Nothing like being with family in the motherland 🫶
This feels so sweet to watch, you going to Vietnam and how your family spends time together ❤ thanks for taking time to capture and share this while traveling with family !
this is so wholesome..! Thanks for sharing this with us
can really see what gave him his inspiration. the home just looked nice before but now it's a small part of viet nam in LA
I’m so happy you went back and shared it with us again!!! I loved the first Vietnam series you posted. Well produced video!! Peace and love brother.
14:00 We use to have a tree that grew this particular fruit in our old home. I'd climb it and pluck them, and they were always so juicy. This brings back so many memories.
watching your little cousin play ipad for an hour, such a mood
Watch your video is so relax! And i'm a Vietnamese too.
That alfresco shower at the homestay is awesome!
ngl this is the most comforting vlog i've ever seen c:
I love the vibes, Vietnam seems like such a beautiful country!
your dad is so sweet
There is definitely something rather special about this guy, greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
What a wonderful way to spend time with your Dad and family. I love your parents 😊
I so hear you on moisturizer when its hot and humid. I'm from the southern US and in the summer , it just all slides right off!😂. Also can identify with your mosquito dilemma. They love me , too. In July and August I rarely venture outside before sunrise and after sunset. Even with repellent, it only takes SECONDS for them to find me? 🦟 You hair also gets wavier in the humidity just like mine. Loved that bathroom in the eco-cabin. That was gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your cousins wedding with us. and explaining the rituals. ❤
It's always a treat to see your travel vlogs. They are reassuringly comforting for me. The insights into the wedding traditions were fascinating, I appreciate you showing us. I hope the rest of your trip to the motherland was a wonderful experience.
❤ the homeland hits different
I am glad you had a good time with your father's side of the family. I hope you and father have or had a safe journey home.
your dad is the sweetest. This is a very healing vlog. Thank you Benji
Looks like you're having so much fun spending time with your family Benji. The cities and countryside there is very beautiful.

Wow, just wow, how u captured each moment, it made me nostalgic for a country i’ve still never been to, thank u so much
The self-heating shower set-up is so cool! I've never seen anything like that before.
Loved this Video, it made me miss my Grandma. Theres nothing like a Grandmas Cooking, Love, Hug & her Spoiling U while there on vacation.
The best time & memories ever❤
☀️I cant stand the heat or humidity🌿 but really enjoyed All the greenery & 🍀how U tried everything offered to U🌿

I never thought I'd this video as much as I did.
I really like the simple descriptive subtitles : you just let us enjoy the scenery and the commentary was minimalistic,
Thank you :)

This video was so beautiful, Benjie! 💚 Thank you for bringing us along!
Y'all are SOOO beautiful. Every single one of you ❤❤❤ The floating market was mesmerising. The best part imo. And the fact that y'all travelled together overnight like that, even as a big family, is impressive and inspiring 🤗 Glad you're recording and sharing these moments. You being able to hang out with your dad is such a blessing! My dad died when I was very young. I miss him dearly.
loved your previous Vietnam videos, so excited to see this new vid pop up in my feeds. ❤
This video brought back memories of my trip to Vietnam. It was the first time I really learned to appreciate durian because it's so fresh there! I really loved those rose apples, too! The food and fruits are so good! Loved exploring the river in Can Tho. Great adventure trip!

Wow, Benji! What a wonderful trip to Vietnam with Dad! Totally different vacation vibe, but I do respect its culture! Loved the floating market trip and seeing fruit, flowers, vegetables grown in your own backyard or porch(?) You did a great job capturing family time and the preparation for the beautiful wedding. Very much enjoyed the video!
