It made me emotional to see how plants are such a big part of your family’s lives too. You’re so connected to your family and ancestry in a special way 🥹
As a Vietnamese person, I feel like it's engrained in the culture haha. I swear, every Viet auntie or uncle (incl. my parents) I've met is obsessed with plants, especially the fruiting ones or hoa mai!
That’s right. As a agricultural civilization Vietnamese lives harmonically with nature. I am living in Europe then I realize that here people eat much more meat than in Vietnam.
Omg I am from the PH and I deeply relate with this beautiful and moving video… 😢the last part is so emotional …thank you for sharing this one…

Your grandmother is so sweet telling you to pick the berries and giving you a handful hehe
He ought to have learnt some basic Vietnamese like Kam En, Ba.
Grandma interrupting you to hand you fresh fruit is so Viet, that was very endearing to see
seeing the ending of this video made me really emotional. there is something so sacred about the country your family comes from, esp. as a first generation in the states.
I was almost in tears at the end it felt so personal!
god i feel this too as a first gen as well
it made me felt nostalgic memories from my childhood, cold marble floors that u have to take ur shoes off, walking around the neighborhood to greet elders, riding bicycles around, eating delicious food with my grandparents and many more. i would love to go back to vietnam again haha
Your grandparents have a beautiful home and garden! The amount of food they produce for themselves is impressive! The Desert Rose is called Adenium Obesum in botanical lingo. I love the peacefulness of your videos; very relaxing! Thank you!
You captured family life in Asia so well, made me so nostalgic. Like your dad I’m a first generation immigrant and went through the emotions of leaving your family. You are so talented, thank you for sharing your videos with us. ❤
I think in the future you will have many fans from Vietnam if they see this video
Yeah, i'm his new fan lol. Just discovered this channel as a Vietnamese!
Yeah, I'm Vietnamese person, and I wonder does he speak Vietnamese?
@@myJourney.20s nah, find the old q&a video. He said he don't speaks vietnamese but still learning
I did, TH-cam somehow recommended his video to me.

Incredible, Benji. Your family is so warm and welcoming, and their country is beautiful. Thank you so very much for SHARING this with us. I feel honored.
I could never stay away from these tropical atmosphere.. seeing all the beautiful greens, sun shine and clear skies everyday give me all the comforts in heaven..
这才是人类本来该有的生活,祝你快乐
This video made me miss Vietnam while I am living in Vietnam though. And I literally cried in those last moments. A pity you cannot speak Vietnamese, but somehow you understand what Vietnamese people say to you.
Your mom and dad, and your Vietnamese family are so cute.
Thank you for Sharing Vietnam with us. Your family is beautiful. I feel privileged to have had a glimpse of the farm and their home. ❤
Grandpa assembling the cloth rack is so adorable. 🥺. I also like how connected the family is. Usually, people tend to spend their time on their phones and other electronic gadgets, even when they visit family members whom they haven't seen in a while, instead of spending quality time enjoying each other's company. This family is the complete opposite of that. It melts my heart to see such values being upheld even with the young generation 👏👏👏👏
Your vietnam videos should literally be the official Vietnam tourism ads.... It literally makes me ache to go visit the country . ❤. thank you sm for taking us on this journey ❤❤❤😊🌻✨
I've never seen such a beautiful video
Living in nature and always doing something with the land is so wonderful!
Xa quê hương đất nước đã lâu, xem được như video này rất xúc động, cảm giác như mình vẫn còn đang ở nhà , xung quanh là người thân bạn bè ,họ hàng , sung quầy đông đủ ,huhu nhớ nhà vãi
Nice. I search about Viatnam Buddhist monk Thich Naht Hanh. While scrolling get the video. IT is good.
🙏
It’s quite beautiful to see how your family traditions and livelihood translate into your life and interests in the western world. Thank you for sharing that part of yourself with the rest of us.
I spent 21 days in Saigon and HoiAn. Best trip I've ever taken. I was there with my nephew's wife's relatives. Thanks for the tour. I can't wait to go back. Amazing country!!!
Your grand parents are wealthy beyond measure. How lucky you are to have them in your life.
I had no idea Vietnamese families just added on to their property as the family grows! That’s so cool!
What a beautiful video! Made me tear up at the end, seeing your dad hugging his mom takes me back to saying goodbye to my gradma at the airport. It's very difficult to have family in different places of the world but it also makes us appreciate each other more. You dad also reminds me of my dad, he's very sweet. Im so glad for you that you got to take that trip together with your dad and thank you for sharing it with us!
Hi Benji! As a Vietnamese myself, i found this video very comforting and peaceful. And i also realize i could never feel relatable to it as well, because i come from a broken family and toxic relatives. But thank you for sharing your golden moments with us, it took me down to a memory lane that I never had before.
9:11 so cuteeeeee pomelo hat! 🥰
OMG...that 's why you like plants...because your grangmom n pap....take care plants....farmer too
I don't know why I am crying but it was such a beautiful moments of a beautiful family 🌼
The relationship you have with your dad seems magical. Father and son but friends too. Thanks for letting us tag along.
So nice to see that watching and flying kites are still being enjoyed by people. Brings back some fun childhood memories for me.
This video embodied the love your dad, you and family have for each other, with the large farm and countryside. Such vast family farm output! So beautiful. Almost brought me to tears in the end.
Video của bạn tuyệt vời! Mình đang học tiếng Việt. Mình đã đến Việt Nam sàu lần và mình sẽ sống ở Việt Nam năm sau.
Thanks for showing a slice of local life in Vietnam, almost similar with the country life in Philippines. We both have closed family ties. I love watching your videos there's always this feeling of calmness I get whenever...your being soft-spoken, the way you make your stories, the plants etc is very relaxing.
beautiful simple countryside life ! eating what's growing around is so rewarding ! this is crazy to think all this country went through in the past and how they managed to heal and to thrive again !
I loved your video. As a younger person, stick close to your family & you'll do well in life; you are blessed with abundance & love.
This was absolutely beautiful- cried at the end when you said goodbye. ❤
I love how all the family live together, and take care of the farm. Your Grand parents house is so unique and beautiful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us.
Benji you resonate what families are: doing together and having fun. Aloha from Honolulu
My husband and I absolutely loved Vietnam when we visited and want to go back again, such a beautiful place
The thing i miss about having grandparents, just visiting their simple yet lively homes with all the animals. My grandpa raised goats and they would come home by themselves every evening after eating up the bush and grass around. Seeing them as we got near the house from the main road always put a smile on my face. I really miss that...
vietnam is amazing because it is really green and has beautiful landscape
What a delightful video of your visit to Vietnam! I love the farm and your grandma is adorable she seems so sweet, I can see where you get your soft sweet demeanor from which is a special asset in today's world! Kudos!
Oh! Your calm and soothing video really made me long for Vietnam since I’ve been born and raised in the west and only went there two times in my life 🥺 thank you for sharing your grandmas home and life there ❤️
The way your grandma hugged your dad in the end. So sweet. Heart warming video 🥺❤️
I can tell you your dad really enjoyed it I know my parents would love to go back to Mexico and I will be there myself when that happens… I myself was born in Mexico and brought to the US when I was 1 year of age hopefully in the next 5 years we as a family will go visit it’s harder said then done ….. there’s no one they know that is over there currently all have passed on my parents are in there 50s
wow... the ambience is like here in the philippines.. ricefield and having fun with coconut juice and i saw like nipa fruit
I absolutely love you and your family. The beauty of their souls is amazing. The kindness and respect for each other, and the beliefs they carry through from generation to generation is so inspirational and it is absolutely gorgeous there. Thank you for taking us on this trip so many things I would’ve never ever seen in my whole life what is kind to be kind
Bro its like my hometown im SEA too, best feeling ever to live there
This make me miss my grandparents house in Indonesia. Similar vibes and the mosquitos net too
A typical life in the South of Vietnam, so peaceful, y'all gonna miss it
The pink flower you pointed is called Adenium. Saigon is pretty much the same with all country side in South East Asia. I live in Bali anyway.
i live in the philippines and its so nice to see the similarities between my grandma's house and yours 💗
I am really touched watching these nostalgic scenes 🥺 it’s just incredible and dreamy for me!!! This peaceful life in a village… is just so sweet and healing. When I was a child I also like these sour berries.
It’d be fun to follow a TH-cam series of you and Chris getting a property in Vietnam. The garden you’d come up with would be out of this world.
When I saw the clothes rack rolled out, I remembered how dryers are such a western / American thing and that in most Asian countries they hang clothes to dry.
Your dad oh my goodness your dad. I laughed so hard at him. He’s such a joy and your mom to.
my favorites @4:22 love them so much
Hi I really enjoy your videos and this is quite a different one than your usual videos but I liked it a lot. Pleas keep producing videos and have fun.
Greetings from Germany
Tim
As a Vietnamese, i'm sooooo happy to see this video 💕💕
it's so special that your family has that pond and so much beautiful plant life. sweet little connections between you and them :)
so much good family vibes i could cry right now
i've really gotta do something with my life, to go out there and find a cozy place with good friends.
I was really missing the plant videos but these vlogs were so sweet I love seeing the countryside and the plants that your family has grown.
So touching. What a beautiful life.
Aww, this mad me miss my family. When I was younger, my extended family were so involved with one another, but now, not so much.
Such an emotional trip, I could feel you connecting to your ancestry, and seeing your dad home with his family is so beautiful. Your family is so amazing, seems like a majestic life to live.💚🪴☮️
Happy for you and your Dad to be able to visit his home country. Would love to go back to Vietnam.Such a beautiful country ♥️
Benji, I want to go with you, on your next visit! What a beautiful home! I would be so proud, to call this my home! You showed us great contents and your editing was superb!! My father spent a few years there from 1967-1970+. He brought us lovely hats and dolls from there! (He served in the military). However, I had no idea, it was so beautiful and Happy there! What a joyful country! Thank you for sharing! Brigitte in Tulsa Oklahoma
I look from South Africa, live also on a farm. Your Grandparents have a beautiful place and it's so precious to see how much love are between your family.
Your dad looks a lot like his mother. Thank you Benji for sharing this beautiful piece with us. I am sure leaving like this requires hard work, commitment and discipline however I think humans were meant to live like this in harmony with nature. Food is a LOT of greens Seafood etc...people not rushing but not sitting around either. Grandma and grandpa still active. Your aunt was wearing an interestingly fun hat😀. Love that video
Progress should not mean destruction of nature but that unfortunately what happen so often.
I'm so happy when seeing your video about the coutryside in Vietnam, it made me feel peaceful . I hope you still cherish of the memories of the time you spent.
I really like the music you selected for your video. Enjoy your video, Benji.

What a beautiful family you have got! Take love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤️
this video brought me to tears
Desert rose = adenium
And those small ripe pineapples look amazing, like what I had when i lived in Nicaragua.
Tết năm sau bạn hãy về Việt Nam nhé. Tết vui và hạnh phúc lắm đó. 🇻🇳
5:00 you are adorable!! ❤❤
Wholesome content That somehow continues to get better, thank you for sharing bits of peace-loving life
This video makes my miss my grandparents so much🥲
This amazing. I've spent a log tine in Viet Nam and it is the most beautiful place in the world.
Omg I'm moving to Saigon on the 11th!!! I have been there 5 times in the last year and Love it!!! In Bangkok now and although much more modern I prefer the character and soul of Vietnam. YOUR marvelous channel was reccomend. 😁
What a beautiful family. This video makes me long for a simpler life. Someday.
Your grandma is sweet beautiful lady.. Take Care of her, precious time with her. 💕💕💕💕💕❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
I think it is so sweet that you have this time with your dad and family. So beautiful.
Your videos are peaceful and it is so endearing to see how close knit your family is! Love from India 🇮🇳
Beautiful country . Amazing family bond too. In India we do similar life style. I wish one day I would like to visit there. God bless you
the nostalgia sleeping with the net i remember sleeping with that when i was younger i still do if i go to vietnam and meet my other family side
Vietnam is like philippines the weather , the fruits and some food ( like the dessert you made we have it here it is made of flour or made of grated cassava and made into balls and cooked in coconut milk with sugar , banana, taro etc. i enjoy watching the other side of your big family ,thanks for sharing : im from philippines from the south part of the country
Reminds me of our province house in the Philippines, the countryside looks almost identical and the architecture is very similar as well, especially the different tiles each room lol. Such a quaint neighborhood and people living in such a simple lifestyle.
This is the second time I cried when I watch your video, the other one is the plant job with Jiahao ❤
This is so magical, thank you sooo much for sharing with us such an intimate piece of your family and culture. The lush trees, the sounds of the water and wind, and the kindness of family make this such a warm and beautiful video- one of your best in my opinion. You're so lucky to get to experience such a slice of paradise
Your videos are the best benji. Vietnam is a beautiful country with peaceful and kind people. Thanks for sharing your lovely family and travels with us 💛💛💛💛💛💛
Thank YOU for sharing your family and showing us such a beautiful country.
What a great memory you've made with your dad. So important you keep in touch with your heritage. I envy their lifestyle, and easy access to wonderful fruits and veggies. Thanks for sharing your trip.
As a plant lover , I have followed you one, two years ago and loved your aesthetic videos. But your video of trip back home is my most fav so far cause it really connects to me as a Vietnamese. I teared up at the ending of the video when your dad hugged your grandma saying goodbye. You captured the family life here very authentically and beautifully!!It's interesting to see your dad's hometown too, I guess it's in the Southwest of Vietnam (Mekong Delta River) where they can grow different varieties of fruits and plants. I could see there're lots of difference in the cuisines and house architect that I haven't seen before in the north. There are 6 main parts in our little S-shaped country. The lifestyle and food diversifies throughout the parts but the close family ties stay the same. Now I'm more inspired to visit other parts of Vietnam too.
this was so heartwarming and I’m actually crying right now. I visited my family and now I left them again and it made me miss them even more
This series has made me see Vietnam in a whole new light! Wonderful country. Thank you, Benji. ☺
wow, your grandparents' home is gorgeous! i appreciated the context you provided to some vietnamese interior design choices. thank you so much for sharing!
That makes me miss my Vietnam. Love your video ❤❤❤
Oh yeah, also in older homes, because the walls are thick, the window-sill or parapet can sometimes to extended to a sitting nook. And of course old iron-railings and window bars are always pretty.
It's weird to me how many scenes look like something I would see here in the towns of El Salvador (in Latin America) because Latin America and Vietnam have nothing in common! The video made me feel nostalgic and all warm inside. Loved it💖💖
im currently in vietnam but watching your video makes me miss my hometown...
