Thank you for another great video. Beautiful terminal and awesome artwork. Ok, you are changing my mind about flying through LGA. The remodel is beautiful, and it looks so easy to navigate! I was there in the early 2000's and was a total nightmare for me, and since have avoided it like the plague! Haha. Now I can picture myself on that connecting bridge and watching aircraft pass through under me.

LaGuardia is a national treasure! I was last there in 2015! I was so enamored in the sheer awe of NYC that I didn’t really feel the age of the place. But Wow, look at that beauty now! Can’t wait to visit her again!

Wow...this is the best presentation of the new LGA I've seen so far. I used to work for American at LGA (tkt agent) from 2001 to 2007. I remember those run down old terminals. Now I don't even recognize it. As a native of NYC I'm usually not impressed by anything here but this is an absolutely beautiful improvement. 👍👍👍 I've not been to LGA for many MANY years. But I plan to explore it when the weather warms up and visit a few friends who still work there. Seeing this gives me hope that NYC is on the mend. Thanks for sharing this experience.

Great video Peter I have not been to LGA since the fall of 2019 when I commuted weekly for work. The new terminal looks breathtaking and modern. It's come a long way and especially as a kid growing up in Queens in the 1970's we used to bike to LGA to watch the planes take off and land. As a matter of fact at the fence. Those times were different for sure.

It has come such a long way. I usually fly in to Newark when I come back and visit the NY area, but this is definitely giving me a reason to try and go through LGA at some point

I visited LGA all through childhood and never actually flew in or out until after college. The glittering soft lighting emanating from the formal restaurant's large windows and the colorful forecourt fountain at night were the strongest memories. In the 1960s LGA was the most modern place you could be other than a few office building or theater lobbies.

I am a dedicated United flyer as a holdover from my Continental days, so typically I have to go to Newark because United only flies to hubs out of LGA. I saw this past winter they added some FLL flights but none during the summer (I tried - going there for a wedding…). I hope they use the new expansive space to increase their domestic flights out of LGA. Here’s an idea: even though you’re dedicated to airports/air travel, a video survey of the new LIRR terminal at Grand Central would have the same feel as one of these great airport videos. Just a thought…. Thanks for the great work!

I got to fly out of Terminal B in December. I was really excited when I found out that JetBlue moved from Terminal A to B right before my flight. The fountain was not on when I was there as well.
It’s such an exciting place!
I never thought I’d say, I look forward to my next trip to LGA! All it needs now is a passenger rail connection.

I used to hate LGA so much! I remember having the worst delay of my life here! We were delayed for here trying to go to DFW on AA but I happy to see that these days are over!
Thanks for watching! While the terminal layout reduces delays on the ramp, there are still plenty of air traffic delays at LGA. I recently had a six hour delay that had nothing to do with the terminal.
@@PeterMasella I hope they fix that problem not only here but also JFK and Newark as well! As someone who flies to NY a lot to visit family I always dread flying into New York airports because of frequent delays!
I've only been to Delta's Terminal C and D as of January 2022 and I thought it looked good but WOW Terminal B stands out and it looks amazing.

Nice video. Last time I was at KLGA was 1983; the place has certainly changed for the better. That new terminal looks a lot like terminal one at CYYZ. have you ever been to Toronto and Terminal One?

Hi Peter - what is the process with vaccination cards upon entering the airport / Delta. Are they checked? Are date of vaccinations checked? I've got mine, just want to know what to expect. Thank you
Hi Rob. Vaccines are not required for entering an airport in the USA. Vaccines are also not required for domestic Delta flights. Vaccines may be required for traveling to some international destinations and you may have to show your card but if you are flying domestically in the USA on Delta (or any other airline), there are no vaccine requirements.

I believe Terminal B (Central Terminal Building) primarily concourse C.
Where were you flying to which required you to connect in Chicago O’Hare?

When my sister in law traveled to GEG, she flew Delta and connected in SLC going and MSP on the way home. To be honest with you, I try to avoid connecting thru Chicago O’Hare since it is more prone to weather disruptions than most other airports in the middle of the country. I prefer DEN for United instead of O’Hare and DFW instead of O’Hare for American.

You will love it!
Looks nice, but its a band aid covering the larger wound. NYC needs an overhaul of its airspace to help reduce delays. Expanding capacity by adding runways will also help. NYC is constantly left behind compared to other cities, even in the US. Look at Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago. Those airports and air systems are built for the future. JFK and LGA are not.

How can a "new" terminal have such outdated check-in arrangements? Are the check-in agents seriously expected to lug people's bags from a 1970s tech scale to that outdated conveyor at the back? Where are the combination weigh-scale conveyors that do that process for the check-in agent? These are used at literally every single airport in the world (presumably outside the US). Also, there are zero automated bag drop units? Pretty strange that such outdated technology is still used in a new terminal.
So you ask the car service drivers to let you stick your cam on the windshield? Lol 😆 joking.

At least the new ramp space will improve some operational efficiency!
Only NYC can transform one of the worst airports in the work into one of the best. They just need to improve transportation to and from LGA. Connect the airport to JFK and Manhattan via train.
