I am grade 7️⃣ yesterday I had a test I wasn't know how to do a rotation but when I see this video I know how to do a rotation thanks very much God bless you 🙏🙏🙏.
Thanks for your time and appreciation. Here is another related example: th-cam.com/video/ScwxoPqhTG4/w-d-xo.html Feel free to post questions as I can provide the solution in a day or two Thanks
Rotation of a point or a graph -90/+90 degree or 180 degree at any center point without needing to draw any graph. Formula 1: Rotation of a graph 90 degree anti-clockwise (or counter-clockwise) about origin (0,0) (X, Y) ==> (-Y, X) Formua 2: Rotation of a graph 90 degree clockwise (or 270 degree clockwise) about origin (0,0) (X, Y) ==> (Y, -X) Formula 3: Rotation of a graph 180 degree anti-clockwise (or counter-clockwise) about origin (0,0) (X, Y) ==> (-X, -Y) To do mathematical calculation you need to do 3 following steps. (Note: (Xp , Yp) is the name of center-point of rotaion of the graph, (not X*p, Y*p)) Step 1: Move/Shift the graph to origin (0,0) (X - Xp, Y - Yp) Formula 4 (Xp and Yp are just names (not X*p, Y*p)) Step 2: Use according Formula 1, 2 or 3 for rotational graph -90 degree, 90 degree or 180 dregree to rotationally solve the this step Step 3: Move/Shift the graph back to the rotaional center-point with formula below (X + Xp, Y + Yp) Formula 5 (Xp and Yp are just names (not X*p, Y*p)) ============= I am using example in this video clip to mathematically solve the method above Example: Rotate the triangle graph of points A(-3,-1), B(-1,2) and C(2,-2) 180 degree clockwise about the center-point P(Xp, Yp) = (-1, -1) Solve: Step 1: Move/Shift the graph to origin (0,0) (X - Xp, Y - Yp) A(-3,-1) ==> Ao(-3 + 1, -1 +1) (Ao is just a name (not A*o)) = Ao(-2, 0) B(-1,2) ==> Bo(-1 +1, 2+1) = Bo(0, 3) (Bo is just a name (not B*o)) C(2,-2) ==> Co(2 + 1, 2 +1) = Co(3, 3) (Co is just a name (not C*o)) Step 2: Use according Formulae 1, 2 or 3 for rotational graph -90 degree, 90 degree or 180 dregree to rotationally solve the this step. In this step, the question says rotate 180 degree clockwise. Hence, we use "Formula 3" That is (X, Y) ==> (-X, -Y) Ao(-2, 0) ==> A'(2, 0) Bo(0, 3) ==> B'(0, -3) Co(3, 3) ==> C'(-3,-3) Step 3: Move/Shift the graph back to the rotaional center-point with formula below (X + Xp, Y + Yp) A'(2, 0) ==> A''( 2 - 1, 0 - 1) = A''(1, -1) B'(0, -3) ==> B''(0 - 1, -3 -1) = B''(-1, -4) C'(-3, -3) ==> C''(-3 - 1, -3 - 1) = C''(-4, -4)

Anil Kumar Can you help me with something please? I have to transform a shape by first reflecting it in the line y=-x, then rotating it 90° clockwise about point (3,-2). I have first reflected the.object by drawing the mirror line and interchanging the places and negating the coords of each point of the object. However the answer i have come up.with is not the same as the one in the answer sheet. Did i do something wrong?
Thank you for helping me. My math teacher is terrible so I have to rely on homework to learn everything I need to know.
Thanks for sharing.
Please don't hesitate to post questions. I will try to provide the best solutions. Thanks
Share my videos with your friends. Thanks
This video helped so much. Explained my teachers 2 hour class in 5 minutes. Thank you!
7 years ago, still more helpful than my maths teacher
Thanks for appreciation. Here is related Playlist: th-cam.com/video/UZ19ojOXRG0/w-d-xo.html
This was very helpful! My math teacher didn't explain this at all but now I understand it completely!

Last part is rotation by 90 about external point
Thanks
This was four years ago but thank you for this video! Greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much!!! You just saved me from getting a B on a Math quiz!
Thanks a lot for your time and appreciation.
Feel free to post questions, whenever needed.
Best!
Thank you this helped alot

Hey thanks so much
This quarantine homework was stressing me out 😢
Rotation of a point or a graph -90/+90 degree or 180 degree at any center point without needing to draw any graph.
Formula 1: Rotation of a graph 90 degree anti-clockwise (or counter-clockwise) about origin (0,0)
(X, Y) ==> (-Y, X)
Formua 2: Rotation of a graph 90 degree clockwise (or 270 degree clockwise) about origin (0,0)
(X, Y) ==> (Y, -X)
Formula 3: Rotation of a graph 180 degree anti-clockwise (or counter-clockwise) about origin (0,0)
(X, Y) ==> (-X, -Y)
To do mathematical calculation you need to do 3 following steps.
(Note: (Xp , Yp) is the name of center-point of rotaion of the graph, (not X*p, Y*p))
Step 1: Move/Shift the graph to origin (0,0)
(X - Xp, Y - Yp) Formula 4
(Xp and Yp are just names (not X*p, Y*p))
Step 2: Use according Formula 1, 2 or 3 for rotational graph -90 degree, 90 degree or 180 dregree to rotationally solve the this step
Step 3: Move/Shift the graph back to the rotaional center-point with formula below
(X + Xp, Y + Yp) Formula 5
(Xp and Yp are just names (not X*p, Y*p))
=============
I am using example in this video clip to mathematically solve the method above
Example: Rotate the triangle graph of points A(-3,-1), B(-1,2) and C(2,-2) 180 degree clockwise about the center-point P(Xp, Yp) = (-1, -1)
Solve:
Step 1: Move/Shift the graph to origin (0,0)
(X - Xp, Y - Yp)
A(-3,-1) ==> Ao(-3 + 1, -1 +1) (Ao is just a name (not A*o))
= Ao(-2, 0)
B(-1,2) ==> Bo(-1 +1, 2+1)
= Bo(0, 3) (Bo is just a name (not B*o))
C(2,-2) ==> Co(2 + 1, 2 +1)
= Co(3, 3) (Co is just a name (not C*o))
Step 2: Use according Formulae 1, 2 or 3 for rotational graph -90 degree, 90 degree or 180 dregree to rotationally solve the this step.
In this step, the question says rotate 180 degree clockwise. Hence, we use "Formula 3"
That is (X, Y) ==> (-X, -Y)
Ao(-2, 0) ==> A'(2, 0)
Bo(0, 3) ==> B'(0, -3)
Co(3, 3) ==> C'(-3,-3)
Step 3: Move/Shift the graph back to the rotaional center-point with formula below
(X + Xp, Y + Yp)
A'(2, 0) ==> A''( 2 - 1, 0 - 1)
= A''(1, -1)
B'(0, -3) ==> B''(0 - 1, -3 -1)
= B''(-1, -4)
C'(-3, -3) ==> C''(-3 - 1, -3 - 1)
= C''(-4, -4)
Thanks bro
