    For example one wouldn’t you need to change the coordinates for A’, B’, and C’ to be in relationship to the regular coordinate plane from the origin? So A’ would be (2,3) B’ would be (0,2) and C’ (-1,3).

      Yes! You are correct! I just did that for this example for learning purposes. But if you are handing in homework or a test, please update the coordinates of the original coordinate plane.

    when rotating 90 degrees clockwise and the x coordinate of the original point is already negative does it stay negative or get changed to positive?

      It would get changed to a positive since it started as a negative. Always want to do the opposite if the rule shows a positive to negative A(x,y) -> A'(y,-x). Think of "negating" the original coordinate as switching the sign. Let me know if you still have questions!
