- TQM Travels (Season 5) // Episode 8 - Singapore Street Food
Lisa spends the morning taking aerial silks classes at Starz Aerial, so I enjoy a delicious breakfast of kaya toast and explore the beautiful temples in Chinatown. We then enjoy some delicious street food in the Maxwell Food Centre, including laksa and Hainanese chicken. After lunch, we decide to relax on the beach on Sentosa Island. Finally, we wrap up the day enjoying some more delicious food in the Newton Food Centre.

The dark syrup thing is made from the sap of the coconut tree. The flowering spike is cut and the sap that flows from that is collected and reduced. It is known as Gula Melaka, or "Sugar of Malacca".
Try dipping the toast into the eggs next time! 😊
Beside the Buddhist relic temple is the Chinatown Complex, where there's lots of good local street food up on the 2nd level.
Singapore is wet & humid all year round so we love spicy food. 😊 You can see almost every food has some spice in it!
