Not at all approving of any of those wrong side drivers but it would help the traffic flow if all those cars waiting on the main road would actually leave that junction clear whilst stuck in traffic that isn't going anywhere. Given that main road traffic from right to left will frequently stop there due to the light up ahead, perhaps having that junction marked with worded Keep Clear or fully converted to a yellow box junction is in order, though that might conflict with those zig zag lines. Still doesn't excuse any of the behavior seen here, by both the wrong side drivers as well as main road blockers.
I totally agree with you. Yellow boxes should be put anywhere that blocking causes congestion, such as junctions, roundabouts etc. Very often you can't get across a roundabout because idiots have stopped across the entry or exit causing unnecessary hold-up and pollution.

This junction seemed to have made the channel infamous, such that it is even called the gandalf junction because people actively break the law and drive on the wrong side of the law. What would a Yellow-Box-Junction improve? I'm a Swede so maybe I'm just ignorant to the rules but my understanding is that a yellow box says that you can't enter unless the exit is clear for that maneuver. That sounds like a very "up to the driver" thing to judge. And from seeing these videos the judgement of quite a lot of drivers is not exactly inspiring. Just put a damn roundabout instead of a 4-way junction and the traffic should flow so much smoother. Or are roundabouts also something other countries outside of Sweden don't apply?

Most of the drivers you caught were tempted because of the inconsiderate drivers blocking the end of the road stopping the right turning traffic from emerging. Not an excuse for their bad driving but its an example of how we all need to be considerate to others on the road.
There's no yellow box junction, so they're not required to keep the junction clear. There should be one, but there isn't. So those drivers, although they lack awareness, they're not "inconsiderate".

I'm pretty sure that although this is not a crime itself (well maybe :P ), it does breach the Highway Code and could be classed as driving without due care and attention. After a quick Google Rule 97 states "you must have footwear and clothing which does not prevent you using the controls in the correct manner"....

My 11 year old son got hit in the crosswalk just steps off the school grounds walking home by a parent picking up their kid in our ever ubiquitous suburban SUVs. The driver basically admitted to failure to exercise due caution and pedestrians automatically have the right of way in this state, yet the police were worse than useless, as they refused to ticket the driver and never even asked my son what happened, as well as stating there was no evidence in the police report which has already started to cause problems with the insurance. A younger kid was hit at a different intersection shortly after that same day, then a high schooler was hit and their foot run over all in the same week. What hope is there in a situation like this?

Why would you stop an emergency vehicle, an emergency vehicle would have right of way and he would know that
Emergency vehicles have exemptions, such as contravening keep left bollards, speed limits, Traffic lights etc. Of course Mikey knows this.

The lady is speaking with a Scottish accent. I would say she was from Glasgow. She is saying that if she sees the car on You Tube she will exercise her rights under the data protection act. She later shouts that there are laws against that. She then shouts out the window that it is against the law to put videos of people on the internet and that is against the data protection act.

Again, I'll voice my support for Mikey from the USA. Great job with your contributions keeping the road safer over there in the UK, wish I could clone you a million times over here in the USA. My 11 year old son got hit in the crosswalk just steps off the school grounds walking home by a parent picking up their kid in our ever ubiquitous suburban SUVs. The driver basically admitted to failure to exercise due caution and pedestrians automatically have the right of way in this state, yet the police were worse than useless, as they refused to ticket the driver and never even asked my son what happened, as well as stating there was no evidence in the police report which has already started to cause problems with the insurance. A younger kid was hit at a different intersection shortly after that same day, then a high schooler was hit and their foot run over all in the same week. What hope is there in a situation like this?
