These Microphones SOUND and LOOK amazing! They seem like a steal for the price! I'm definitely going to look into adding them to my arsenal eventually! It's about time I stop drooling over UA gear and get my hands on more! (I still have my LA610 MKII and I love it!) Keep the videos coming!
Really nice review on these. You mentioned vocals. Are these good to record vocals in studio? I just bought a pair mainly to use for acoustic guitar, but im looking to get a vocal mic. If these are good for that then I dont need a vocal mic. Im just starting up my at home studio.
Thanks! It’s definitely not intended to be a vocal mic BUT… recording is all about experimenting, I would highly suggest using the included wind screens and/or a pop filter. The Beatles and many other artists used small diaphragm condenser mics for vocals with large windscreens or pop filters. There’s is actually a model of that specific vintage mic on the Hemisphere software!
It all really depends on what you consider better… every piece of gear has a use and a way it behaves so what’s good to me might not be good to you. I feel these are natural sounding with lots of body, if that’s what you would like then these are the mics for you
@@curtis_chip I agree! I love microphones and have a variety but I don’t ever want to say one is better than another one. That just doesn’t work in audio
Hello, I saw the same video on Thomann and the sound here on TH-cam is different, with less quality and an exaggerated stereo image. It's just to inform you. 🙂

Wondering how these would compare to Neumann KM184s
I wish I had them but you can buy a pair of these for less than half of the price of 1 KM184
do you think universal audio sp1 is better than Shure SM81?
