Extremely unreliable is an understatement. They should remove the feature altogether as it serves no purpose except to further frustrate the user.
Agreed, I don’t even understand why they spent time, technology, and money on this when they could have spent it approving cases.
I've been waiting for almost a year. No, I'm not happy at all for those people who get approved in a couple of months. It's not fair. Such early approvals take up time for those who have been waiting for a very long time. I don't understand why USCIS doing this

It’s been over a year now for me. My husband is a US citizen and active duty military. We’ve been married for close to two years and last time I called they said it can take up to 54 months.

I had applied in Jan 2022 and it was showing “taking long process “for 1 year then I called USCIS ,Sept 2023 then it start showing 2 month from that it goes to 5,4 week so keep changing everyday,will keep updating.

My estimated time went from 6 months when I first filed, to 10 months, then 15 months, then miraculously changed to 2 months, then 1 week...now it says "longer than usual" like fffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

I submitted mine on June 8, 2023 and it's been actively reviewed since July 10, 2023. It says: Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action.

I applied back in august 26 2022 and had my test which is passed on the jan 27 2023 but they requested more evidence since i had many trips outside the US even tho on their system it says its okay to apply and now its 09/29/2023 and they still havent replied what can i do

I apply my spouse February 19, 2024, then March 5 it’s show 2months, then I checked my case today March 30, 2024 it shows approved. Now I just need to wait for my welcome letter from NVC to pay and complete the form.

Hi Walter, my husband is a US citizen and I'm a Indian we got married on 24th Jan 2024 and we filled cr1 visa on March 1st, initially it should 2 months on 1st week of March and now it's changed to 4 weeks last and 3 weeks today, was it the same scenario for u? That is so true. At the beginning of the year, my petition had 2 months for the estimated time, and when I got to two months, it went to a few weeks. Now, after 15 months, it is saying it is taking longer to process.

My son is a US citizen, who has filed 1-130 & I-485 forms concurrently for us as parents. Our priority date is January 09, 2023. Our processing center is National Benefits Center (File No. starting with IOE). Surprisingly, the processing time as of today at NBC is 53 months as against 13 or 14 months at other centers. Could you help me understand this situation? Many thanks for your help!
The processing times listed on the site are not reliable, they are based on a calculation of 80% of median case processing times, but even then they are grossly misleading because there case few cases that take years and skew the statistics.

It's frustrating they keep adding time, it's been 3 years since we sent it, whenever we called they said it looks it's on normal processing time. They just keep adding and adding time.

This is crazy 😢 I sent my i485 Oct/22 and still nothing . I’ve inquired and they said to wait 4 months because of a delay on their part and I inquired again and now they said everything is going normal in my case and there’s no delays 😢 I’m so tired of this game that they have .

My progress tab shows nothing. We submited the I-130 form 2 weeks ago for CR1. All we got is the letter of reciept notice and notice of action via email. Is it common not to see anything in the progress tab? No one gives me an answer that explain it

Once you get “actively reviewed” then it will show progress
Our application was filed last 2022 of March and the status for now is actively reviewed January 2023 and sadly no new progress still floating? Kind of disappointed 😔

Hi, my daughters are under 21 and Iam green card holder I applied for them all their process got done documentary. The NVC says your case in line waiting for visa interview and their priority data is April 2023 how long longer should I wait for interview date !? Thanks

yesterday I checked my progressing time and it said 8 months and a few minutes ago I checked and its saying 3 months.
Sigh I sent in my I-485 (with work authorization etc) and it took them 3 months to update my profile to „you have to wait 10months“. I had several breakdowns because I’m so over waiting….. over 1.5 YEARS now I’m doing this

Are you in the United States? What was your status when you filed? Have you ever had issues with immigration? What country are you from? Have you ever received an RFE? All these questions play a part in how long your case may take.

Regarding seeing my daugher urgently in US. Im presently still stuck in UK.
I have been separated from my daughter, only child, for just over 2 years now since 1 week after her 1st birthday. She has just turned 3.
Father to US Citizen. Still husband, but estranged spouce of US Citizen.
Entered US on ESTA given 180 days stay with wife and daugher.
Filed to stay prior to 180 days.

Sat in USCIS awaiting interview.
I-130 permissions granted and I-131 to travel outside were approved aswell.
I was under the impression that I had a 3 year bar because I left the US prior to interview. I have just been informed that I might not have a bar at all.
Reason being I was technically not in the US illegally because sufficient change of status granted, plus I was given permission to leave.
Essentially all that's happened is I have just sadly lost or abandonded my visa application, but there is no bar. Never was.
Can anyone please confirm this to be correct it is a matter of great urgency.

The dates are not reliable. 1 year for approval of a US citizen’s petition for his spouse is beyond ridiculous. A finance visa takes even longer.

You can’t email USCIS, you must send a letter to the service center that’s processing your case asking to withdraw your case. It can take many months or a year for them to withdraw it
So I’m in the US military and I file for my mom like 8 months, I call to expedite it and they denied it. Maybe I should stop the filing and send her to go get a visa, allow her to come and overstay on her visa and a apply for parole in place. Look like that way work a lot faster😅

This is my scenario.
My husband is a citizen and he applied for me (I’m Peruvian). We decided to do the process by ourselves because lawyers are expensive (about $2500) and it has taken us…two and a half YEARS to get it approved. In that time I wasn’t able to work though…so I guess is not that bad 😅 But if your partner doesn’t make enough money you should invest in a lawyer or a paralegal to get it faster for you. Paralegals are cheaper, around $900.
