I still don’t like the absence of dipstick - I guess because I’m old school and like to see how dirty the oil looks on it between changes, also to check the level without having to go through the palaver of starting/running/fully warming up the engine and getting the computer to measure it.

I would add that the O ring must be installed in it's designated slot (a couple threads above the bottom of the threads) and not at the bottom as one (or I) would normally expect. I did not pay attention to that and had an annoying leak which I discovered after driving 20 miles and fortunately noticed a small puddle where I had parked. I could see that the O ring had been displaced when I took the filter housing off.
There actually is another video saying how to do this. Select the calender option on your center guages. Hold down your trip reset switch for 7 seconds and it will give all the options you can reset including oil.
Is the transmission fluid sealed for life? so no transmission fluid is needed? sorry i see nowhere of transmission fluid change on this F series model( specific 2016 F56 B46 )
In line with BMW models over the last few years, there's no requirement in the maintenance schedule to change the manual transmission fluid - it's filled for life. However, many owners consider it prudent to change the fluid at least once in the lifetime of the vehicle - around 80 000 miles?

(1:30), central drain screw torque =25nm,
Now to get a 32mm cap for the cartridge

What size is the sealing washer?
What size socket do you need for the central drain screw?
You’ll need a 15mm socket for the oil pan drain plug and a T55 for the oil filter housing drain plug.
Does keeping the car level help drain more oil at all?

What happens if I only jack up the front of the car? I only have two jack stands.
You'll be fine. Just make sure to make a final check of the oil level with the vehicle on level ground.
