Nope no age limit, may be a bit late if you want to do competition alot of pups start real young and have a ton of experience by year 3, my girl is 3 and we just started training her to tree like 6 months ago, life just gets in the way sometimes (she's doing great as long as I can keep her teeth off the coon)
absolutely not I know someone that got a walker dog it was about 2 and had never been hunted they took it hunting and it showed a real interest in hunting it started running and treeing a little bit but by the next coon season it was running and treeing it's own coon's turned out to be a good dog....
My dad used to take a rope and tie it around the dogs neck run it out of the dog box in through the window of the truck when a mouthy dog would start singing he would start snatching that rope it did not take long before it would shut up and ride right
They are smarter than people give them credit for. A person can only train them to handle and shut up and jump in the back of the truck, the rest is giving them exposure to the game your after. Most dogs I feel sorry for because they never get hunted.
Can’t wait to see more of that blue dog to be pretty green she seems like a natural hunter
Great video and as a dog hunter myself in SC I totally agree with you on how you handle Jenny running that possum. Very informative thankyou.

I’ve got a half mate to the Charlee dog. Like him real well.
Right off the bat don’t let them dogs motor mouth in the truck. And yes that is a bad habit that gets harder to break the longer you do it!
Picking my first hound up in 4 weeks. Where abouts In Florida are you? I'm In Florida as well
Their near San Mateo I believe
Is it to late to train my 2.5 year old blue tic to coonhunt ?

From my experience, run it with experienced hounds
Never to late. Get a drag and some coon scent.
