    Yo, I watched a bunch of your vids and I'm looking for a headset for streaming ps5. I guess I can't get eq on console right? So what do you recommend as the best value headset in your opinion? I guess the hyperx alpha? I plan to listen to music as well. Probably get a USB mic and just detach the mic. That said I was really sold on the cloud II, especially since it gives u an edge for fps and seems that much more comfortable than the Alpha, but I guess it sounds worse especially for music... What do u think, thanks man your reviews are on point 👍

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah for consoles, you'll be stuck with out the box sound. For your use case, I'd go with the Alpha because it's better for music. It's pretty versatile and the best overall value. I don't know how competitive you are, but if winning tournaments is your #1 priority I'd get the Cloud II, but for everything else, the Alpha.
      Also, good choice going with a USB mic. They're so much better. I can't seem to convince people that headset mics overall just kinda suck .-.

    Hi, I'm looking for a headset for mainly playing on console (PS4/PS5).
    I've been eyeing the Blackshark line, but don't know if that's what I really want because I saw another review talking highly of the Sennheiser GSP 300 and they seem great too.
    What would you recommend that's around $100.00 maximum? Should I just go with the V2 X? What other options are out there?
    Thanks for your in-depth reviews. They have been very helpful 😌.

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alright for console since you're going to be using the out the box sound and no EQ software, I think the best bets are the Cloud II and Cloud Alpha. They're both generally under $100. And both sound better than the BlackSharks out the box.
      If you play a lot of FPS games, Cloud II for its sound signature. If you're playing pretty much anything else, Cloud Alpha. I think the Alpha is the best overall sound with the most detail that I've tried for under $100.

    Hi there. Been watching a lot of your review videos on headsets and I think you do a great job in testing them!
    I had the Kraken and I am now looking for a replacement outside of getting another one (I should mention that I am a PS4 player). I have watched your videos on the HyperX cloud 2 and it looks VERY tempting. My question is: Is there a headset like the HyperX Cloud 2 but has the mute button on the 3.5mm audio jack or built into the headset instead of the USB fixture? I am going to look more into it, but you leave solid reviews, and thought you'd be a good person to ask
    Anyways, hope you have a great day or night and take care!
    P.S. I sort of prefer wired connections because I have my PS4 controller plugged in all the time and I have an external keyboard so I can quickly message people without pulling myself out of whatever game I am playing (i.e. rocket league or just sending a message to someone). Thank you if you reply and have a good one once again!

    • @liamh3728
      @liamh3728 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Edit: So I have been watching more of your videos and it might be favorable to get the Clud Alphas, but you point out that the Cloud 2s have audio that can allow you to hear footsteps better and are more comfortable for longer gaming sessions. Is the alpha the best alternative to the Cloud 2s or is there something out there like the Cloud 2, but with the mute button on the audio jack or on the side of the headset? Thank you for you input in advance :)

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I think the Cloud Alpha is going to be the best alternative because of the mic mute on the 3.5 cable. There are other devices with more convenient controls, but as far as sound quality the Cloud II and Alpha are ahead of everything else I tested by a good amount.
      You can also get the Arctis 5 since the mic mute button is on the headset itself. Not the biggest fan of the sound from that and I don't find it very comfortable, but it's still clear for FPS games.

    Really considering the v2 x but I see a couple reviews and reddit post that say the splitter could be a potential issue down the line. I'm upgrading from a HyperX cloud stinger which the mic started to die and it was due to the wire being damaged from the flip feature of the mic from 3 years of use and the leather started to peel off. What else could you recommend in the same price point? Eyeing the cloud core from your videos and others recommendations ATM.

      It won't sound as detailed as the Cloud II, but that's still a really good deal. Cloud II still would be my main recommendation for Rainbow Six.
      The V2 X is already tuned pretty well for FPS games, so the Kraken TE controller will mainly help adding bass for music or non-FPS games.

My question is if i plug in the cloud 2 with a 3.5mm splitter into my pc and use equalizer apo, shouldnt i have the same mic quality as with the cloud alpha (since i bypass the usb sound card) and have sound that is probably even better than with the razer v2 x with razer eq? This is exactly right. I can't remember which video it's in, but I tested the Cloud 2 mic with a splitter and it makes the mic sound just like the Alpha, and yes using Equalizer APO helps a lot. Beats out everything from Razer with it.
      Since comfort is a factor, I think the Cloud II will be the best choice for you. The Alpha is slightly clearer, but even I use the Cloud II 90% of the time just because it's more comfortable over a long period of time.
