    I have two sets of the BlackShark V2 (one special edition version) and have been very pleased. Love the detachable mic (wish it was retractable instead), mic monitoring, and how comfortable they are. I get headaches easily, and the BlackShark and Kraken are the only two wired headsets I've found to be comfortable.

    Was really hoping to get one of these but the V2 X is more in my price range and it seems like the Cloud II would be better if I'm going to be using 3rd party software as an EQ anyways. Great content you're channel deserves way more subs!

    BlackShark V2:

    First of all, thanks for your great video!
    At the time, I have to decide if my next headset would be the Blackshark V2 X or the Steelseries Arctis Nova 1. Whats your opinion, which one sounds better?
    I would prefer the Mic of the Steelseries cause I could put that away, but if the sound of the Blackshark V2 X is better, that would be more important for me....

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Nova 1 has overall better sound quality, but almost no bass. So if you don't need that, it's a better pick.

    Razer Blackshark v2 (with sound card) or another model that you have already tested in the channel? Surround sound for listening to footsteps is the most important thing for me but I also want to be able to enjoy music and movies. I am trying to find something between 60-90$. Thanks in advance

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews

      Cloud II. Of all the headsets I've listened to so far, it has the best detailed sound aside from the Cloud Alpha. But the sound signature is better than that for FPS games. It works okay for movies, but it will sound way better with 3rd party EQ software like Equalizer APO to boost the bass, because it's not strong out the box.
      As for surround sound, every single one of them has bad surround sound, and I keep it off on all of them. Stereo headsets can't actually do surround sound, these companies just add filters and effects on top of stereo audio. Hearing footsets is really going to be about which has the most clear detail and a frequency response curve that makes them stand out. And for that I say the Cloud II is the best.

    Quick question: can either of these be connected to a PC directly using the 3.5 mm jack or are the accessories included (split cable/usb dongle) needed?

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both can go directly into a PC with just the 3.5, but only the headphones work (not the mic).
      It could be different depending on your port, but for me using the splitter on a PC with both a mic and headphone port or using USB were the only ways to get both the headphones and mic to work.

      Astro A40. Anything cheaper generally has pretty bad bass, but after that there's the Cloud Alpha or Cloud II. Both need to have their bass boosted by EQ though. And cheapest is probably Cloud Core which has the same drivers as Cloud II.

    The fact that both headphones sucks without a sound card is obvious. But what about WITH a sound card? I have Dolby Atmos app, HyperX USB card from my old headphones, Creative Play 3 or whatever it called. What about those? Is it worth to buy V2, or I can save $50, plug V2X into HyperX usb card and use Dolby Atmos with the same result?

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's the drivers that aren't very good. A sound card isn't going to improve those, so yeah you might as well get the V2 X and EQ it with whatever else you want.

    • @J0rdan912

      @@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Interesting. I always thought that 32 ohm headphones should be better with USB or internal amps rather than plugged in to a weak motherboards or controller sound chips (those are horrible). I had my HyperX usb amp from my old Cloud Stinger Core 1, they're pretty basic, $20 cheap dirt and only 16 ohms, so they didn't really needed amp, but was decent. Shouldn't those newer Clouds and Blacksharks be better? (I'm not expecting them to be high-end or something 😁)

    Hello, do you think the Hyper X Cloud II with Equalizer APO can match or even be stronger than the Blackshark V2 with synapse?
    I am looking to replace my ageing Siberia v2+usb headset with something that is at least able to match the bass level the Siberia had.
    I see you talking about hip hop music in these reviews, so you must have the feel for it with the bass, what would be the ideal headset in this range in your opinion?
    Thank you in advance!

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't say about the Siberia, but of the headsets I tested the Cloud II has the second most bass. Cloud Alpha has slightly more. This is with Equalizer APO - out the box they're both kinda tinny. Also neither can match more expensive headphones, but for the price I think the Cloud II or Alpha are probably the way to go.

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews

      It's because it's good for the price if you EQ it. I've tried dozens of gaming headsets and nothing in that price range out right now can really touch the Cloud II or Alpha when they're EQ'd. Surround sound on all headsets sucks though ,and the bass is definitely weak. For something better, you have to usually spend like 1.5x or more the price and get the Astro A40.
