    Hi Richard Cooper! Can you share a link to the radio and harness. I have been looking for awhile but I keep finding some shady sellers. Thanks.

    Hello, i had a quick question if by chance you still read the comments. Did you have to solder the wiring harness to the power cable that came with the cable included in the stereo? I saw the link you posted in the comments for the wiring harness shows the cables on the backend not attached to anything so that's why I'm asking. And if you did, how do you know which cables on the wiring harness go on the power cable? Thanks for the video btw.

      Hey, that’s a great question, if you are running this in an a 2007-2011 Aveo then you do not need the additional red wire, that is added for some other model vehicles that have the same plug type but the accessory wire is ran separate. If you go back to the link for that adapter and scroll down to the owners manual located just under the”what’s in the box” it brings up a good diagram of the wires and how they should be connected. I hope that answers your question.

      the easiest thing to do if your not sure what harness to use is to visit www.crutchfield.com and put in your model vehicle model to get the right harness.
      P.S. I have no affiliation with them, I just find the website useful.

    Can I get a video explaining the mic cord and the apple play cord and other cords needed?

    • @rickysreviewsandhowtos
      @rickysreviewsandhowtos  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most headunits (radios) will come with a mic/cable and I know the unit I used in this video comes with the usb cable for the apple play/android auto, if not it’s just a usb type A plugin so you can directly plug a usb A to lightning for iPhone or usb A to usb C for modern androids. If that isn’t long enough you can use a usb a extention cable

    • @rickysreviewsandhowtos

      7” screen, here is a link to the one used in this video but any double din sized head unit should work. I do suggest the one in the link because I think it is the best value for what you get from it.

      It is a Alpine iLX-W650, I have used this head unit in multiple vehicles and I still believe it is one of the best units for the money (yes better units are available but at this price point I think this is the best choice)

    What if you don’t have all the wiring you need nor the money just bought the radio came the cords but don’t wanna start and fuck it ip

    • @rickysreviewsandhowtos
      @rickysreviewsandhowtos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand not having extra money to spend believe me, however buying the wiring harness is the not only the cheapest but unless you how to use a test light and really understand the wiring, chances are it will cost you A lot more down the road in repairs than the wiring harness cost. Even if you have to delay installing it until you can get one. Just my advice, best of luck

    This video was super unclear, doesn’t the car already have a USB port? How did you do the usb portion of this, I’m so confused?

    • @rickysreviewsandhowtos
      @rickysreviewsandhowtos  ปีที่แล้ว

      The vehicle I installed this in does not have a usb port, however the head unit (radio/stereo) that I installed has a usb port and comes with a cable to route (usb port is in the back of the head unit). I hope this clarifies better. Thanks
