  • This summer, I noticed my dash clock kept resetting, and I got tired of setting the clock over and over. Here's how I fixed it.

    Gotta love unleaded solder slowly getting vibrated apart in the heat 🤦 Thanks for the video man!

    Was excited to see this fix but I've never soldered anything before nor have the tools so I guess I'm out of luck on that department. nice information here either way. Thank you!

      You're welcome. it's possible it might fix with just cleaning the circuit board. In my case the melted original solder was making a short.

    Dude thank you for drawing me away from my useless barbarian style of fixing things. Now my fist can heal from using a hammer fist on clocks and the like. This really WORKED!

    Tried soldering mine, The clock worked again and held time but started flickering 2 months later and drove me nuts, I broke down and spent the $67 dollars for a new one, Worked perfect since.

    If you keep ignoring the clock keep resetting, the airbag light will trigger once the clock going faulty. ^^ It go faulty but the clock still can use.

    What do you mean by resetting? Ours will not display the time randomly. It'll come back and still be keeping time.

    please, what is the solution that is used for cleaning ??

    • @TimBledsoe
      @TimBledsoe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used 70% isopropyl alcohol because it would dissolve and not make an electrical connection later
