Such a beautiful area and one of my favorite day trip places. Between this fire and the Little Twist fire the air quality is pretty rough. This summer is turning out to be an indoor event, sadly, after waiting all winter for the sunshine and the outdoors.
What I will never understand, re the Little Twist fire and past "controlled burns" is why are they done in the heat of summer rather than early autumn when weather is not so hot and it would not be months before weather can aid in putting an out of control controlled burn fire out, snow I mean or rains.
Federal fund's is the key words I am hearing.
Disaster after man made disaster.

Wish they would use maps. All media should do this when reporting on community disasters etc.
A lot of times they don't even mention the state. This channel has Utah in their name but a lot don't.

No one believes that though. They told us two weeks ago is when it struck then in this it was a few days ago. They said they have video proof but will not release and basically said to drop it.
Fireworks should be a punishable act and against the law in this entire country
This is not firewroks caused, it is lightening caused. But I do thinkthat given the facts that weather is warming up annually and the high winds we've been having and very dry conditions the local gvt allowing firewroks is ridiculous.
Most people who are into personal fireworks on the 4th of July and Pioneer days aren't actually motivated for the holidays but rather they are only motivated toward pyrotechnic thrills. It is too dangerous and unsafe and needless risk, imo
This was a controlles burn that got out of control.
