This is awesome, my Dad and I just started on our 53 Willys again. It’s sitting on a 78 F250 frame and has a 460 out of a bronco.

Nice job. I own a pair of 1962 Willys one is a pickup the other is a Utility Wagon. They were both owned by the same owner since new. The gentleman owned a gas station and the pickup was his toll truck the wagon his daily driven. Pickup has an original 28,000 miles the wagon has 46,000 miles - both are all original with the super hurricane 226 cubic engines everything is original to them. He had cancer so he put both inside his station on the lifts but all fluid’s were drained - air out of the original tires- he had his mechanic rub oil over the paint and spray oils all over and under the chassis. Both sat inside the station like this until I purchased the property ten years ago where they still sit today. I will be bringing them out of storage in a month or two when I will clean them up and prepare them for driving. I aired up a couple tires to see what shape there in no cracks weather checking . The gentleman did all of this because he found out he had terminal cancer even spray painted the station windows so no one could see inside. They are in as close to new condition as they could be and you can tell he loved them equally. I purchased the property at an estate auction with the station buildings not knowing what if anything was inside. I will be driving and using them on or off road but carefully. I am 78 now and I respect older vehicles as I have and had many in my collection of 9 GTO’s each with less then 10,000 miles on them. I was a chassis and engine engineer for Pontiac Motors for 38 years. My collection of GTO’s were ones that I helped design ranging from 1966-1970 all including the Ram Air 4 HO engines with both standard transmissions and auto’s. Three of which are convertibles that are all black my others are red in color with matching interiors.
I love stock vehicles but I also love Willy’s vehicles and I love the job that you did with your pickup I can tell you have many hours into keeping it on the road. I only wish I had found your channel a while ago. Great job I hope you are using your talent in your today’s life. Thanks so much
BTW I hope that I made sense I have a brain tumor it effects my thinking

Sweet build. Good idea with the pipes up the cab to extend the bed onto the wheel centers, didn't quite go far enough though bit damn close too bad maybe push it back and add sheet metal. Idk in person it's probably fine these dang videos always change angles and views. In any case you did a fantastic job and I absolutely love this truck I want one now. When I was really young my father had this same truck sitting on our property he gave it to me but I was only 10 so I never got it 😥

I tried doing this on my 97 v8 Explorer, and the Willys cab is too narrow to fit over the dash, so I have just removed the explorer body, but extracted all the wiring from the explorer, instrument panel, lights, etc.

  • @JRCreations92
