    In 1975, I owned a 1951 Willys PU. The grill was the same as this. I have a photo of it if you want to see it. I just bought a 1954 and it is being "revived." This is a really cool-looking one. I'm going to take a couple ideas, such as the JC lamps on the front bumper. I've got a killer custom bumper on it.

    I had a ‘49 wagon, early ones are cool but I do love some of the early 50’s boy and trim styling.

    Love those old Willys pickups/wagons/panel trucks, the first one I remember seeing was the '51 pickup that a friend of Dads owned,he also owned a '55 Willys Custom four door sedan

    I’m just getting a 1985 jeep cj7 built. Swapping it onto a 1996 Toyota 4runner 3rd gen. It’s almost done after 3 years

      I’m so excited because I haven’t drove that jeep in about 10 years. Just been seating in my shop before I took to mechanic to do the swap.

      Your rig is awesome too. My wife has a 1962 jeep Willy’s just like yours that she swaps to do a swap with. Just trying to figure out what to swap it with.

    I like this Jeep very much. It turned out great, well worth the countless hours of work that it took to pull it off. The lights up top look way out of place though and detract from the original rat rod cool factor. They look so amazon-ish, like a corny chain store item compared to the inspired Jeep styling, I'm sure they blast a bunch of light and all but that huge logo repeating on every single light looks silly never mind that there are way too many of them. I can see one or two lights in a vintage style canister but not those clunky silhouette destroyers. It's one cool Jeep otherwise

    The front fenders and hood are from a 1951......the grill and fender are connected on a slight curve ..when viewing from the front....1948 & 1949 are on two angles....alsi the hood ornament on a 1948 & 1949 is a njckel tapered strip from front to back....the 1951 is on your truck.....your Willys looks super great job....

      Yes it has a history for sure. The title was a 48 so that is why we chose 48.

    Awesome build that's been one of my bucket list trucks forever! Just found your channel & can't wait to watch more of your videos. Thank you for sharing & I also have a two wheel drive mutt truck (1948/1951 Ford F-1/F-7, cab came from old fire truck)

    Spare needs to be on top of the decked bed insert and below the RTT.

      All a matter of opinion and what is trying to be accomplished my friend. The RigD carrier gives us the option to remove it entirely and without having to have the tent higher on the bed that would closer push it above the cab

    It has a 50 to a 65 front clip on it

    • @iadventureutube
      @iadventureutube 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, indeed! Our best guess is that it is a 52. It was titled as a 48 and somebody changed out some panels early on is our best guess but we really don’t know. Good catch! Not many people mention, or noticed that.
