It has gold inverted forks, 6" risers w/ moto bars, and a qtr fairing. Most likely the FTR drivetrain and ride command, as I heard 100+ more cc's and around 120hp. Can see them if you take the teasers and clip it to frames.
@TheBeardedBobber dude I met you a couple years ago super briefly at The One Moto Show in Portland….. and Ricky and StarBobber! You guys coming out this year??? I got my first ever media pass to cover the show :)
Great video. Do you believe that there will be upgrades across the Scout line as well? Ride Command like the Chiefs? Agree with what you said about the displacement, time for an upgrade to 1250 or 1300.
Thank for the comment and great questions!!! After watching some other TH-camrs discussing they see to feel it’s gonna be a whole new line of Scouts… kinda like we currently have (bobber, rogue, standard, scout 20 etc…) I’m not sure …. I know there’s gonna be the 101….. and they sorta spy shots on the promo vids it has a fairing like the rogue (looks to me like the exact fairing) taller bars with bars end mirrors…. Could be mini apes or a t bar on risers like the sport chief, a new tank with a side gas cap looks rounder to me more like the Chief…. And somebody said gold forks…. Idk I couldn’t see that…. 🤷♂️ and bobbed fenders. I’m excited to see and hope it doesn’t disappoint:) Thanks for watching
YOW! You got me excited! First video of yours that I've seen but I like your style. Most of all, I hope you're correct about the "new" Scout! I have a "First Run" 2015 Indian Scout and don't plan to get rid of it, but I'd definitely be interested in another interesting Scout! Thanks for posting!
Thanks Gordon glad you clicked and watched 🤓 appreciate the Kudos! Yeah man I could be a bit off about power and aesthetics but I am positive I’m not wrong that it will be called the 101….. well known by Tuesday 😎
I seriously considered an Indian Scout a couple of years ago. Still really like the scout....But, the Bonneville Bobber got my money instead because of (for me) a few "betters" like dual disc brembos, cruise control, ride modes, FUEL GAUGE, and of course both have awesome retro looks for similar money. A few of those features on the new scout might convince me to make an addition to my garage. Idk if it NEEDS more power, but that would be nice too. A "Sport Scout" like the Sport Chief, maybe? I'd buy it.
Thanks man...loved the vid. Yep a 101 version with swept back bars. Maybe a reworked motor. But then brakes, modes, suspension etc will mean the cost jumps a fair bit. So they need a tweaked bike that is cheaper than the sporty but looks the modern retro cruiser.....just imo.
Totally possible Evan!!! Agreed!!!! The Octane was a killer bike and faster than the scout although they do utilize some of the same parts and basic frame etc:)
@Ridingfish thanks dude! Yeah I’ve been at the TH-cam thing for a couple years and I think I’m finally starting to get my grove…it takes awhile for sure…..I’ve made some bad vids lol and once uploaded don’t know what to do…. I just uploaded one today that was waaaaay to blown out so I pulled it and it will repremier tomorrow ….all apart of the growing pains I suppose:) what part of the country are you in brother?
First thanks for watching and the question….I actually don’t “Always” mention Polaris I just felt it relevant to the subject matter as Polaris ultimately owns it all. If you watch any of my other videos I’ve never referred to them that I can remember of course I have like 94 vids now so I may have forgotten 😂
Polaris isn’t the parent company, it IS the company. Indian is a brand, not a manufacturer. Polaris bought the brand name. Unlike Indian, Harley Davidson is in fact a manufacturer. Production for Indian takes place at Polaris’ facilities in Minnesota and Iowa. They’ve been manufacturing Indian motorcycles for just ten years. Kudos to them for what they’ve done in resurrecting the iconic brand. Don’t know why this bothers you. Comparing the two brands makes sense. But comparing them as companies is incorrect. Coke (Polaris) makes Coke (Polaris) and 7up (Indian), as well as military vehicles. Michelin (Harley) only makes tires (Harleys).
Good explanation dude…. Way better than I could’ve done with my stumbling and stammering around 😂! What are your thoughts on what this new scout thing is all about??? I seriously think I got the 101 name part right, after watching all the teasers and listening to a lot of thoughts from others… it sounds more like a whole new design/ line of bikes not just 1 new “special” model? Thoughts???
Maybe we'll see a more cruiser-ish version of the FTR? Kind of like what BMW just did with their revamped R12 9T street bike and its R12 cruiser derivative? I just hope the April 2nd Scout fanfare is not simply a mashup from the existing Indian parts bin.
I’m betting it will be on the standard scout chassis, with one of the two rear aftermarket shocks Indian sells in the catologue now. The scout in the front of the pack on Indians last vid has has inverted front forks so I’m Betting on that and probably dual discs upfront. Also betting on the rogue front wheel and 1/4 fairing with straight bars and a pull back riser. Will have the pathfinder headlight aswell. That’s my predictions. Hopefully I’m way off and it’s just awesome lol
Well I guess I was way off lol. Sure liking the fact there is a whole New chassis and power plant, a true new model. Also the 101 is pretty sweet with the inverted forks, dual disc brembo’s
@@Weirdalbertan yeah man no worries I was off a bit too and certainly didnt know there was an entire new line coming out:) I gotta say they did an amazing job those bikes really look good and the paint looks spectacular…..they make the Sportster S and the NIGHTSTER look really thrown together. Way to go Indian!
Harley really did drop the ball on their fit And finish with the new sportsters an and nightster. It’s kinda worked how the 101 model has 111hp While the other four are 105hp. Maybe the come with a hotter tune. I’d like to Ride on this summer if the dealers have demo Days again.
Don’t sell yourself short most of us are guessing at this point :) gonna be fun to see how close we get…….or how far off I am 😂 I will have to make a recant vid saying how wrong I was!!!! 😆
Honestly, it's probably going to be an asthetic change primarily. Like the Rogue from 2022. If we're lucky, it will get the Ride Command. I just don't see them investing in huge mechanical changes to the Scout in this economy. Especially when it comes to performance because the FTR is sort of the "performance Scout" already.
Some interesting thoughts there, but I'm going to throw you a curve-ball: The new Scout will be much as you outlined, but will not be called 'Scout 101' Scout 101 will be a lightweight board-racer style V-twin; 650-750cc to take on the likes of the Royal Enfield 650cc parallel twins, the new Triumph 400s and the Honda 500 Rebel. It'll probably produced in India and will be far more retro - taking it's styling from the original Scout 101. I don't think this will launch on the 2nd
Red eh. What vision!! You must be able to see almost as good as Ray Charles. No mention of a competitor to the PanAm. That would have gotten you more clicks.
@@mrmurphy8609 could be!!!! I also think Indian could totally make a line of dirt bikes ….. I mean who makes better off road side by sides and such than Polaris…. :)
