I never knew heel-toe was a thing until I got into heavier music like deathcore. To go fast I always just used the good ol' swivel technique, but I always kinda sucked at that. Learned and practiced heel-toe for a bit and honestly, so much easier and kept the same bpm and even improved.

He plays his sticks upside down to help his push pull technique for regular blasts it has a better fulcrum point because the butts are slightly heavier so he doesn’t have to rely solely on gravity blast to play super fast blast beats

For me, I feel like I can hold the sticks better. Micheal Jacksons drummer has sticks that have 2 tips on either end so you are still playing with the tips on the drums and gripping them upside down at the sams time. (Hope this made sence)

There is no need for individuals to become so anal and defensive when people ask basic questions or enquire from others why musicians do different things or have different styles we are not use to seeing or hearing, each of us to our own. And before anyone jumps on the criticize train I have been playing drums for around 30 years now. Yeah I'm full of arthritis and burned out and can't play as fast as I once could.
