It is actually dead simple to explain: He has 4 corpus callosum which in turn makes the communication between the 4 left- and 4 right hemispheres. Simple, eh? :)
that is what I calll ENVY, Lobo estepario is one of the best drummers nowadays, not only because of the crazy things that he does but also he has a wide range of creativity on his music, you check out his band
That is the first video I ever saw of yours. You had me laughing so hard, I almost spit out my drink. One of the best reaction videos I've seen, if not the best.
Wait until u see his rammstein cover..it's the craziest groove I've ever seen..he does ostinatos with both feet on 4 pedals while having a way different count on both hands.. it is addicting to watch.. first few times I watched only his feet
I’m not a drummer so your explanation of what makes things difficult helps me understand on a deeper level of why it makes you cry lol great video you earned you like and sub
I greatly appreciate your reactions. They appear to be honest and in sync with others who have watched this guy drum. The ole boy has multiple brains in his head each operating a different limb simultaneously.
The polyrythmic shit is truly insane. You have to have the right kind of mind to play this. It takes time and dedication sure, but most people just are not born with this talent. Absolute prodigy. Great video Boris, thx for all the work.
Dude ive been following your stuff for a good minute and seeing you play in one of my favorite bands of all time is equally surreal as it is fantastic. Youve got such a career ahead of you. Cheers!
We loved your reaction video before because you are a likeable person and also in these videos you actually added interesting insight of just playing the video making some facial expressions calling it good. Also after watching that reaction video I did check out some of your other vids too. Hopefully more people do the same. ❤
I think the worst thing for a drummer is to watch someone better than them and becoming discouraged, Estepario is an inspiration and a model of dedication. We all have it in us to be at his level.
Two things you might want to look into. One is Paul Hindemith's book, 'Elementary Exercises for Musicians'. He has you tapping basic rhythms , first with one hand , then two different rhythms with each hand,...later you add a seperate rhythm for one foot, then finally 4 different rhythms , one in each hand and foot. Also, look up the you tube video ;' Konnakol rhythms and quads'.....It's from India and it's really quite extraordinary. Have fun!
Loved your reaction, Boris~ TYSM for doing one more ESS, although it was clearly painful for you!! I don't think ANY of us would have thought we'd see a drummer at this level. EVER. How he can keep all his different tempos going at the same time is mind-boggling. I REALLY want some neurologist to do a brain scan while he's playing so we can see what's going on in there~ I suspect the firestorm would be lighting up every region of his brain at once. Either that, or he's reached such a state of Zen that it would look like he was in a meditative state. One more thing~ why don't his fingers cramp up???
We just love to watch your suffering!! The trick to practice polyrhythms is, to my knowledge, to sum all notes into a single rhythm. This gets messy (or impossible) when you have multiple rhythms at the same time.
I've drummed practically my entire life. Started at like 3 or 4 with tapping along to the radio and somehow figured out the whole kick, snare, hat setup and could groove at around 6 or 7. But I plateaued. I was a Jazz drummer and played in metal bands, but I clearly saw I was running into my limits. And no matter how much I'd practice, there were things I just don't think I can do, like a steady double kick. I've practiced it for 20 years. But everytime its like one ankle will twitch and go out of sync. Siberiano is the ultimate combination of skill, chill, & drill, which is what is required to get to his level.
I used to be a drummer, but I did not do it for more than 3 years I believe and I decided to try the Bass and some what.. 20 years ago I decided to play the guitar.. Still.. watching El Estepario Siberiano doing his thing, puts a big smile on my face. These excercises are as far as I can see all about coordination and finding the ballance between muscles and brain. This would be the best discrition I have for this type of playing.
I know I've stumbled across your video late, but I have to say, I've been following Jorge since 2020 when he had 1200 subs on TikTok. Every video I've ever seen of him, in my head, I have said what came out of your mouth in this video. It's like your mouth was saying exactly what I was thinking. Hahaha.
This guy is Spanish, the best drummer today, and if he doesn't win like one of the best of all time, he's Insano and Estipario, he plays a lot!!! 🙂🤘🏼☠️🔥
I'm so amazed by him he blows my mind everytime i watch him! I love him he's my favorite drummer and i can't get enough of watching his videos 💯😁💜💜💜💜💜🤟🤟🤟🤟
Man I don’t even know who you are but come across this video, you are so bloody funny to watch, love your frustration. I am now a subscriber, love your videos !!
El Estepario Siberiano: *does a lot of polyrhythm drumming* Boris: "This is illegal, you know?" Darkside, who does cymbal polyrhythms: *awkward glances*
A drummer I would love to see you react to is Ken Bedene. Particularly, the song Cadaverous Banquet Live 2016 from his time with the band Aborted. I am almost sure you will be blown away by his use of the swivel technique, one of the best honestly. Hopefully, you can do that reaction sometime! Appreciate the entertaining content!
I just realized this guy in the videos who tells people to just practice is like Michael Jordan telling people all they have to do is jump farther and higher.
you know what's funny you said fuck you... this is how I feel when I see even the most basic drummer play because I can't or guitarist play because I can't, I so desperately wish I could play... lol
I am fully convinced that his brain has an ability to process these time signatures that nobody else , or very few people can do . Like literally , some kind of bionic count mutation no joke
Actually yes, you are 100% correct. His brain indeed is able to handle multiple time signatures at the same time and separate them. He posts on his instagram that “talent is a lie” and yet , it is indeed a real thing. I understand what he’s trying to get at however talent is not a lie, those with talent who then practice a TON are the famous ones.
@@corneliusblackwood9014 I think him saying there's no such thing as talent is him keeping himself humble , which I can respect . He seems like a chill guy .
Jacob Collier is regarded as one of the greatest musicians alive. He invents new ways to play music, new instruments, writes in quarter tones and half tones...because he explained music so well in a lecture, a damn lecture, I wrote a piece of music for the first time in the strange belief that anyone could write a song if they just listened to his lecture too. Now my music is performed overseas! I have never been a musician, never wrote another song, I can't even read music...one lecture called 'How every note goes with every other note' and I could do it and I am the most joe blogs in the world.

What amazes me, is how tight he drums.
It's "A Clockwork Annihilation".
It is actually dead simple to explain:
He has 4 corpus callosum which in turn makes the communication between the 4 left- and 4 right hemispheres.

Of all the "reaction videos" from other drummer's channels, this one takes it. The pure frustration and "fuck you" moment is just pure gold

Good to see you again Boris 🤘🏻💥🔥🙏🏻💯
glad to be back!🤘
watching a guy slowly decent into madness in a 14 minutes video is great, thank you
I think it was especially cathartic because he genuinely went through denial, anger, bargaining then depression in their order within 15 mins

It's impressive. I've never been asked to play any of this stuff by any guitarist I have played drums for/with, trigger finger has made life harder.
I'w watched this like 20 times.. that "MY ASS IS JUST PRACTICE" gets me everytime :DD
Ahhhahaha, I lost it on 6:22 "my ass is just practice!"
