The Highland Towers collapse was an apartment building collapse that occurred on 11 December 1993 in Taman Hillview, Ulu Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. The collapse of Block One of the apartments caused the deaths of 48 people and led to the complete evacuation of the other two blocks due to safety concerns. On 11 December 2010, in collaboration with the seventeenth anniversary of the incident, AETN's History Channel showed an hour-long documentary on the tragedy, with accounts from the victims, their families and former residents.

Pakcik aku dari petahanan awam singapura SCDF dikerah ke Kuala Lumpur untuk misi menyelamat dalam tragedi ini...menurut dia misi menyelamat tragedi ni memang sukar dan paling mencabar untuk seorang yang menjalankan khimat negara(national service)...pada masa ni kita rakyat singapura pun turut sedih dan berdoa smoga pegawai2 keselamatan dapat menyelamatkan mangsa2 terlibat...

Whichever party or local council that allowed such unscrupulous development on a steep hill slope and up to now have refused to take responsibility and own up to their lackadaisical attitude, fail to realize that their lack of empathy, greed and corrupted practises have led to this, that they have the blood of 48 people on their hands and conscience.

Sedikit sebanyak kontraktor yg melaksanakan pembinaan bangunan ni dan pihak2 yg terlibat meluluskannya wpun dah tau bgunan ni tak selamat, pasti dihantui rasa bersalah seumur hidup.. kalau nasib tak baik, kena kacau hantu... mlm2 nk tido, baru nk lelap mata.. muncul wajah2 berdarah, kaki putus, tgn tercabut, luka sana sini... tak tido sebulan, terus gila.. alah, gurau je. jgn serius sgt

I heard that before they evacuated the people out they say “We can hear a girl crying and screaming outside were block 1 collapsed but there was nothing....”- Block 2 resident. By the way, I am 10 and I say this is a myth..

Hey Simon Riley . When you're in trouble you don't even know what you're doing,right ? Maybe that time we don't have so much equipment for rescuing people or something . i watched this...i cried..Astagfirullahalazim... I was born in 1993 and this was happened when I was only 10 month old.. just watch it because of curiosity but turn out I realize...thanks Allah that we never experience for something like this...and hope we don't..
